The Bears vs. the Packers tonight.

I just read that the Packers will be giving their WR Ty Montgomery most of the carries in the backfield. Why not line up Ripkowski in single back formations? At least this bodes well for Janis to get some playing time at WR.

An actually interesting game on Thursday night. Also to watch is how many white Bears will be in on defense.

The last time Green Bay had an all hands on deck desperation at running back John Kuhn split carries out of the backfield with a practice squad scat back type of back. I don't get how they don't at least do this with Rip. I suspect he will see some short yardage goal line work if the situation merits it.

If I was Ted Thompson I'd be speed dialing Toby Gerhart's agent, but that makes too much sense. Better to use a WR, a bust RB in Knile Davis, and an RB with no experience.

Bad news for Green Bay and Eddie Lacy. ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting: "Packers do not know if RB Eddie Lacy's upcoming ankle surgery will be season ending, but he will be placed on IR today." ESPN Green Bay reporter Rob Demovsky had reported that Ty Montgomery was expected to see the bulk of the RB work Thursday night but he's not a long term solution. We think there will be work for Don Jackson too. Newly acquired Knile Davis should see some work soon. Don Jackson has zero experience but he's about to get his shot too. He's just such an unknown. And of course James Starks is injured. If I had to put my stake on one, I'd lean to Knile Davis. But Jackson is the unknown there that could make some waves tonight.

Yeah Gerhart, Wegher, and even a trade for Burkhead makes perfect sense. Sadly we're the only who think our athletes deserve a chance.

I haven't heard any news on Gerhart since his release. At this point, do we even know if he's still interested in playing? Maybe he had enough of the Marxist NFL and decided to move on with his life? I hope not but I'd certainly understand if he did.

Packers trotting out Don Jackson and Ty Montgomery at RB.. On top of that their 4th and 5th CBs are starting tonight.

Mitch Unrein the only white Bear defender tonight at least only one getting the start.

Rookie Trevor Davis already coughs up the ball his 1st touch as punt returner.. Meanwhile Abbrederis is inexplicably inactive...

The Packers were at the Bear's goal line and go for it on fourth down. Instead of giving it to power runner Ripkowski they give it to converted wide receiver Montgomery, who got stuffed.

Hoyer might be hurt. Matt Barkley may finally get his chance.

Rex Burkhead would be a perfect addition to the Packers...but doubtful that would even be allowed in the NFL... Nelson & Janis are already on the same field tonight...only a bruising/under-used Fullback like Aaron Ripowski is acceptable

This Packers offense is excruciating to watch..

Rodgers gets the most time to throw of any QB in the league thanks to GB's all-White o-line, yet is still dinking and dunking. Maybe Jordy has lost some speed, as Rodgers isn't even looking for him. And when Janis is out there it looks like they're sending him on 3 yard routes. It certainly is excruciating to watch.

Broken arm for Hoyer after 4 straight 300 yards games stinks for him great for the younger Barkley!

I can't stand this play calling, the dink n dunking is driving me crazy. Wasting Rodgers arm talent running this simpleton offense. I've noticed that about Janis too they don't run him deep anymore. Both Adams and Cobb have 6rec apiece, like you said not sure if Jordy has lost a step but he's not even getting targets tonight.

Well we now know that the calling of the plays for the Packers offense has no rhyme or reason as Rip was just given a quick hitter up the gut on first and ten but they gave it to the scat back on 4th and inches for a stuff...

Not a word from Nantz or Simms about how Jordy's been phased out of this game. Maybe the "locker room" revolted because Rodgers wasn't looking at the bruthas enough.

Aaron Rodgers playing better however the cost of it is he's successfully purged Nelson and Janis of any targets!!

I was thinking the same thing. I would think most people tune in to see "Rodgers to Jordy Nelson for the TD!"...
It's like he's not even going to him tonight.

You watch a game to cheer for a mostly White offense and end up ticked off. With his two rushes, Ripkowski was the White "star" other than the QB. Meanwhile the slow-footed Adams will now be viewed as a budding superstar.

Jordy's uni is pretty much spotless. That tells you something for sure about the play calling tonight.

Of course they're showing Crosby like the blocked FG was his fault. Nuts!

It's quite frustrating to see Adams, Cobb, and Montgomery with 10 plus catches each. While Nelson has 1 catch for 9 yards and Janis has 2 catches for 9 yards respectively. It must be an unwritten rule that the Packers cannot have Nelson, Janis, and Abbrederis on the field, at the same time.
