Since 06, the Eagles have had 8,9,11,11,13,8, 10, 8 and 9 starters. No write up was done in 2014. In 2016 EMU is projected to start 11.

DE Pat O'Connor returns from a lost 2015 season for which he was awarded a medical redshirt. Look for him to be a playmaker this year if he remains healthy.

I was somewhat interested to see what Roback could do - he had a promising sophomore campaign but now has been suspended by the team.

Eastern Michigan redshirt junior QB Brogan Roback has been suspended due to a violation of team rules.

Roback was set to start for the Eagles in the season-opener against Mississippi Valley State next Friday, but that won't be happening, now. In an email to the Detroit Free Press, HC Chris Creighton wrote, "With the privilege of being a member of the Eastern Michigan University football program there are expectations and standards to which we hold our student-athletes accountable." No word as of yet as to how long Roback's suspension might last. Per the Free Press' Brandon Folsom, JUCO transfer Todd Porter is a likely possibility to start at quarterback until Roback is reinstated.
