Looking ahead to this weekends slate of games I do not see any huge caste matchups.
The biggest game is probably Nebraska vs. Wisconsin. I am hoping the Badgers are able to find a suitable replacement for Cichy at LB and pull off the victory at home vs. the cornhuskers and their scattershot black quarterback.
Chad Kelly needs to have a successful second half of the season to help raise his draft stock. He goes against Auburn tomorrow who is a better team than Clemson played and Watson was mediocre against in the 1st week of the season. Kelly having a strong game against Auburn - the only common opponent he has with Watson and hopefully pulling out the win should help resuscitate his stock.
McCaffrey and Stanford should be able to get back on track this weekend vs. a bad Arizona team/defense. Chryst makes his debut as the starter for the Cardinal and will hopefully provide the passing game needed to open up running lanes for McCaffrey.
My pipe dream game of the week is Northwestern defeating Ohio St. Thorson has taken a step forward in his sophomore season and Northwestern is a different team than the one that started the year. I am hoping for an upset in Columbus.
Other notes: Michigan should roll over the Spartans tomorrow, Wazzu and Washington can continue their good seasons with wins tomorrow (Browning and Falk are two of the best QBs in the country), interested to see how Freshman QBs Eason, Bentley and Herbert do tomorrow - all three are promising and could be future faces of college football).
