Another self denigrating comment from an elite white athlete

The pictures show another reason for the caste system. Often times blacks mature earlier than white kids. Of course this turns the entire concept of "upside" on its head, since the black player has for all intents and purposes reached his peak while the skinny white player still has all of the "upside". But don't expect the recruiters and services to have an epiphany.

I thought the game was a pivotal moment for caste and will discuss that in this post. Also I am surprised at the muted responses( so far at least) to the game but I thank fellow travelers Celtic and 22 and a few others here for sticking with the game because it was a beauty. We are all different here and we root in various ways but I can say even before I was rooting for "white" athletes unless the QB was an exciting dual threat ala Heisman trophy winner Eric Crouch I have never really given much of a rat's ass about the QB. And believe me I love football but I like the players who are running around etc.. And I know for a lot of people not just here at caste that having a white QB is very important but growing up and today even I care about defense and wide receivers and tail backs--and dual threat QB's. So you won't see me get worked up about Drew Brees or Philip Rivers because I don't care. Besides way too often pure pocket passers usually are throwing to a fleet of only black wide receivers (see Washington). And this next point is important. A white drop back QB will not at all curb the mounting group who insist blacks are better athletes than whites. Same with pitchers in baseball.
With that said as we move forward there has been some discussion of late about the "toxic" environment
of black lead locker rooms where white skill players are pushed aside and or shunned. Also there were some comments about black head coaches giving white running backs a better chance of contributing. On the latter note I do not think it has anything to do with the black coach being a" nicer guy or fairer," I just think they can get away with it better than a white coach who faces more of a backlash from black players. I would think having a black QB would lessen to some degree the tension that exists in these locker rooms and could make it easier for say a white wide receiver to shine. We are going to be dealing with mixed race teams for years to come so the key is the nature and breakdown of a team between whites and blacks. Obviously I want to see more skill position white players at WR and RB first and foremost but also edge D guys and defensive backs.
So in this championship game we had Clemson a usually traditionally very heavy black team against Alabama who has really ramped up the heavy black roster over the years especially on D. Their wide receiver Dieter did not factor into the game (none of the Bama Wr's did much because their QB kind of sucks) although he was the main punt returner and saw the field a lot.
Clemson featured a star LB of course in Boulware who played valiantly and special teams ace who got in a few plays on D Tanner Muse-- who as mentioned blocked a punt. Muse, just a frosh, is a magnificent athlete who bears watching in the next few years.
But the topper and the reason I am so happy this morning is soph wr Hunter Renfrow who was SPECTACULAR!!!. He caught key third down passes,
had a 24 yard TD where he faked the F out of Bama's vaunted D showing off his speed and agility and the cherry on top caught THE WINNING TD!!!!!!
I remember when then freshman Grayson Allen came off the bench to help Duke win the championship and we were all wondering when was the last time a white athletic underclassmen backcourt player figured in so significantly in a college
basketball championship?
The same question can be applied to Renfrow. When was the last time a quick white underclassmen WR played such a key role in helping his team win a college football championship?
Against this dismal back drop where power conference teams are pretty much now only recruiting black wide receivers ( the class rankings of 2017 and 2018 WR's are virtually all black) Renfrow's performance can only help alter this trend because on the biggest stage against the best college D in the country the white kid came through in flying colors. It just might help a few fence sitting coaches take more chances on white WR's now playing in high school and man do we need that.
Like I said this game was a great outcome for caste and was a step in the right direction. Will it change recruiting patterns overnight no but it should help some and Lord knows we need any sort of help. And Nick Saban lost which is always a good thing to see.

I am glad Renfrow had a big game and was the reason that Clemson won. Muse having an impact was also nice. Perhaps their performances opened a few eyes along with Clemson's majority white o-line handling Saban's coal defense.

Also, Renfro's tackle on the Bama player who recovered the fumble saved a TD which might have really given them momentum. Instead they had to settle for a field goal.

I am listening to ESPN radio Russillo and Kanell who aren't all out caste guys like the morning Mikes and just a couple of minutes ago ( I swear)they were thinking out loud what other college football coaches were taking from the big game last night and I believe it was Russillo who said "more white slot guys". Even the Patriots were referenced. It was said in jest but I don't think it was mean spirited either. Just kind of funny but it goes to show when a white skill guys performs well on the biggest stage possible it can't be bad .

I'll take it! Not often media suggests more white guys! Renfrow put on a clinic last night and has owned Bama last 2 National Championship's. He deserves some limelight. Our top WR prospect heading Into next year.

No the comment was a half joke and faint praise at best. It was similar to the Bennett "praise" of Zenner.

Ps. Seeing Saban pacing the sidelines and muttering in his headset was priceless. Also as strange as it sound but this Clemson team that hit the field might be Whiter than the 81' squad(back when college football was much Whiter).

Wow I just heard Kellerman and Stephen A Smith plus Steve Spurrier discuss the game last night and Kellerman is killing Smith at least this go around. Kellerman, who picked Clemson said Clemson outright beat Bama and Spurrier agreed. By the way Spurrier was on Mike and the Mike this morning and had some nice things to say about Renfrow. But Smith was crying and whining saying Bama lost it instead of Clemson winning it and that Bama's great D let him down and then made a very sour comment about Renfow by saying how could the great Bama D allow themselves to get beat by a former walk on? If Renfrow was black he would have not brought it up. Not cool big mouth but eat it raw Bama backers you just got your butt's handed to you. And in case anyone is wondering Mike Greenberg's take on the game--bitching about a pick on Renfrow's winning TD ( for the record a completely clean play) confirms what we already know--- that he is the biggest ******* sports commentator in the country.

I'm glad Clemson won. Alabama's freshman black quarterback phenom went 12/31 for 131 yards and 1 td on a roster full of future pros.
