Since 2006, Southern Cal has started 8, 6, 7, 5, 6, 6, 3, 5, and 4 white players. It will Rise to 6 this year, with the exact same starters as last time. C Max Tuerk is one of, if not the best, interior lineman in the country. Cody Kessler also returns as one of the top QBs in the country. LB Scott Felix is a stud and DT Cody Temple will definitely see significant playing time in the defensive line rotation. This is the second year under coach Steve Sarkisian and they actually seem to have had a slight uptick in white depth. Sarkisian brought in a black quarterback but has also brought in loads of highly ranked white QBs so it looks like they will still follow the typical USC QB tradition.

QB - Cody Kessler
TE - Tyler Petite or Taylor McNamara or Connor Spears
LT - Chad Wheeler - in a fight for position
C - Max Tuerk

Defense -
RUSH LB - Scott Felix
LB - Cameron Smith

Back ups include QB Max Browne, TE Connor Spears, WR Robby Kolanz, NT Cody Temple, and true freshman LB Cameron Smith. I also wouldn't surprise to see stud true freshman TE Tyler Petite see the field. Some people even had him projected as a starter earlier this year.

They actually recruited two pale faces at LB last year (2015 Class), including 5-star Frosh, Porter Gustin, from Utah, who wanted to play at BYU, but BYU never offered the in-state 5-star player. They went with some mystery meat 3-star LB instead :noidea:.

I mean, who would want a player with the above credentials, especially if he preferred to be with them? Will be interesting if he can take the field as a true Frosh and at what position.

Like you said USC has been stockpiling white QB recruits, anxious to see where he ends up!

Alabama is doing the same thing. They have some highly touted guys that need to go elsewhere to get playing time.

Update: 3 way battle for the starting position at TE all of them being our guys. Oklahoma transfer Taylor McNamara (junior), true fresh Tyler Petite, and walk on transfer Connor Spears (sophomore).

Max Browne is the back up QB and true freshman Sam Darnold is the third so we have years of our guys ready at QB. Jalen Greene switched positions.

True freshman back up Cameron Smith may start at LB depending on the health of the player in front of him.
