If this is anything but a coronation for Brutus Williams winning the 2015 Grand Slam it will be a huge upset. I'm watching the linebacker thrashing a tall, willowy, attractive Russian who has normal levels of estrogen, in sharp contrast to the testosterone-laden Williams.

Chris Evert is one of the announcers for the match. Williams is surpassing Evert's records, but Chrissie and every other media puppet won't dare to ask if Serena might not be "natural," the most obvious of questions. That would be "racist."

Still hope one of the girls will somehow upset "the man," but if not it's just another chapter in the book of lies that governs America and American sports.

To make matters worse a lot seeds have been knocked out of Serena's half of the draw. Belinda Bencic, the Slovakian Swiss girl who shocked Serena in Toronto a few weeks ago could end up being an opponent. I think I saw Makarova's name in that part of the draw too. She beat Serena in Australia a few years ago. But frankly, there's not much hope from most of these women. Only Azarenka ever plays Serena close each time they go at it. Azarenka is not afraid of her either. The intimidation factor seems to defeat a lot of the women before they even take to the court against Serena.

On the men's side the main non-white threat to win, Kei Nishikori (coached by fellow Asian Michael Chang), quite comically lost in the first round. So did Gael Monfils.

Tonight slimeball Nick Kyrgios will play Andy Murray. I just saw professional Gay African-American LZ Granderson on ESPN say that he identifies with Kyrgios because of his rebel attitude and the fact that he's a big NBA guy.:thumbdown:

I flipped on BSPN's coverage of the U.S. Open only to promptly hear Darren Cahill say, "With his charisma he should be able to bring young people into the sport." The word "charisma" was an immediate giveaway that he was referring to a non-White, as according to the media Whites are almost never charismatic while non-Whites, especially blacks, somehow seem to be naturally endowed with it.

Cahill turned out to be referring to Kyrgios, who was interviewed by Brad Gilbert. Far from "charismatic," Kyrgios gives off a very unfriendly demeanor. Seems to me to have a rotten inner core, but hey if Darren Cahill says he charismatic, who am I to argue?

I saw part of the Serena Williams match today against some unknown no-hoper from the Netherlands. Serena won it but only just. She moved with all the grace and speed of a hippopotamus. I'm wondering if her struggles today in the afternoon heat will lead to the tournament directors moving her matches to night time as she plays better then.

Former Great Black Hope Donald Young just knocked off the #22 seed after losing the first two sets and, along with the NYC DWFs, is celebrating his advance to the final 16 as if he won the tournament.

Speaking of coming from two sets down to win, Italian Fabio Fognini pulled off the feat last night against Nadal. I knew very little about Fognini and just happened to turn on the match in the third set, and Fognini played absolutely spectacular tennis over the final three sets, hitting one perfectly placed winner after another. Nadal was playing very well too, but Fognini was inspired, it was a helluva match to watch and didn't end until about 1:30 am Eastern time. Nadal had been 151-0 in majors when winning the first two sets, which shows just how good Fognini was last night to end that streak.

In Serena's quest for a calendar year grand slam her next opponent is...Venus Williams. Somehow I doubt Venus will be trying very hard.

Donald Young ("the comeback kid") just took to the court against Stan Wawrinka. Before the match he was asked about the self-help books that had been most helpful to him - apparently he's really into that sort of thing. My first thought was that surely most self-help authors are white (or Jewish) and how unusual it would be for super racialised black Americans to have any interest in the advice of non-whites. Well, Young initially refused to answer - which I found suspicious as widely published self-help authors are not likely to have any secret information. He then said one book he got last Christmas had been inspirational to him this year: Tony Dungy's autobiography!

Defending champion Cilic, seeded 9th this year, beats Tsonga in five sets, much to the chagrin of most of the crowd and ESPN's announcers, to advance to the semis.

I didn't realize Tsonga is 30 now, he looks destined to never win one of the grand slam titles.

I went to Mens Tennis Forums. I don't post there but occasionally look at the comments when there are potentially political related events on the courts. One person who has been registered since 2002 wrote: Gladys Knight in tears because the white dude won.

I only saw the last two games. It looked like Vinci was, as you say, moving her around and also keeping the ball low so Serena couldn't use her power to hit outright winners. Get Serena into rallies and she's actually very ordinary in terms of her abilities. She's all about power - that's where her muscularity matters - with limited finesse.

Funny also that she stormed off the court in a huff. She's going to be in some mood during the press conference - if she even attends. :icon_grin:

Yes, Bethanie Mattek-Sands. She's currently playing mixed doubles with Sam Querrey against Hingis and Paes (who is one of the few coloured tennis players with an enjoyable game; he has great touch at the net). She just got broken to love in her first service game, largely thanks to Hingis' far superior return of serve.

I stopped watching Mattek-Sands' match against Hulk after the second set because it was obvious how it was going to end. That has been a standard pattern for Williams this year: get outplayed for a set and a half, then watch her opponent lose her mind when she realises that she actually has a chance to win. The mentality of some of these players is disgraceful - the worst example being Heather Watson (a mischling) at Wimbledon, who was up 3-0 with break points in the third set. Even with the British SJW crowd rooting for her, she still collapsed.

This is a really great moment. I'm still delighted with this outcome, because I was certain Vinci would find a way to choke herself to a 5-7 defeat when serving for the match. Her service game after 4-3 was so shaky. I should've had more faith when she saved both break points despite relying on her weak second serve, but we've seen Gorilliams' opponents throwing away the match from winning positions so often that it's now something to be expected.

If you look at the Wikipedia page for the women's singles, there is a list of all the seeds, with their losing rounds listed in brackets. To get an idea of how rotten this draw was, and how heavily it favoured Serena Williams, just look at the calibre of her opponents. Her only top 20 opponent was Madison Keys (the #19 seed). Everyone else she faced was unseeded or related (Venus). That has been typical of her run at the slams in 2015. Out of 27 matches, only three of them were against top 10 players! Two of those were against Sharapova, whose mental block in this matchup is notorious. It's absurd. When Steffi Graf won the Golden Slam in 1988, I think she faced seven players from the top 10, including Navratilova (at Wimbledon, where the Czech is quite clearly the WTA GOAT), Sabatini and Evert. I'm sure Serena fans would have gloated before this result that Graft was facing a washed-up Navratilova at Wimbledon that year, but lulz at that. Navratilova also reached the Wimbledon final in 1989, and won it in 1990. Both of her finals against Graf went to three sets. It's definitely true that Navratilova was past her peak, but she was still a great player. Not even remotely comparable to facing a below-par Muguruza in the final.

Anyway, bring on the mens' semi-finals! I hope Federer or Wawrinka can take the title, but I think all four of these semi-finalists are great to watch when they are playing well. It's a win-win outcome whatever happens.

Williams' quest for a "Calendar Grand Slam" was mentioned so often this summer by the corporate media, you'd think women's tennis was the all-time favorite sport of DWF's across the nation. Her recent (extremely non-competitive) match against sister, Venus, was also given a plethora of hype a few days back. It's so great to see her upset by a little known European player...

I'm sure there were millions and millions of people, including well-known ones, who were secretly hoping that this most manly of females wouldn't be the first since Graf to win all four Grand Slam events in the same year. The absolute refusal of the media to ever question whether Williams juices makes today's upset all the sweeter.

That's an interesting point about Graf not bothering to join the ceremony. If you think back to the start of 2014, when Nadal was still viewed as a favourite at major events, which ex-player did they get to participate in the award ceremony at the Australian Open? Why, it was Pete Sampras! The man with 14 grand slams to his name, willing to show his face when Nadal was a serious contender to match his record and a hot favourite once Djokovic was defeated by Stan (he had 13 slams at the time).

This passing of the torch-style moment never came, of course, thanks to Wawrinka's insane level in the final. I don't blame Graf for not wasting her time with the absurd arrogance of Serena "panic room" Williams' cult. I know there are questions about Nadal, which may well be legitimate, but it's not even a question with Serena.

The mixed-doubles final looks like it's about to go to a super tiebreak. Querrey is serving at 5*-3 to level the match. Should be a tense decider.

Serena Williams would never apologize for winning.

Serena has NO RIGHT to be anointed champion just because she's Serena Williams and the PC community thinks she deserves it.

It's win, or go home. Everyone is trying to win. This year Serena didn't win, so now she should go home like a good sport and be gracious about it.

Now of course the PTB will asterisk the final by saying that "the real final should have been Serena vs ____, and Serena of course should have triumphed..."

Just like the Pats' perfect season a few years ago. They SHOULD have won the SB, but didn't. On the big day, the Giants were just a little better. We shake hands and congratulate the winner. Now we've moved on.

Serena of course, won't, and whenever people ask her about it, you can be your ass she'll play coy and let OTHER people make the excuses for her, and if they don't, she'll come right out and claim she was playing injured, etc.

She will NEVER say, "on the big day, the other player was just better than me. Congratulations to her. I look forward to a rematch and next time I'll take it to her!"

That would be an appropriate comment. Instead, I know we'll hear the sob-story. Perhaps even a racist conspiracy.
