Kind of a frustrating team basically because they refuse to recruit or play white QBs lately.. besides that they have white guys everywhere. Troy Flutie son of Doug is listed as 3rd on QB depth chart. They will start 13white guys though!!

Yea it's a shame that Spaziani has blind devotion to black quarterbacks. Makes it hard to fully support this team. BC has been a pretty white friendly team throughout it's history.

I'll add BC (with NW) as a team to root for this season. Too bad they don't sit the black quarterback. :-(

I have always found it hard to root for a team with a black black quarterback. There is ALWAYS a White man that would be better for the job. I dont care if he is the teams only negro starter, I cant root for a team with an affirmative action QB.

It helps if they have a White Tailback. I have noticed that a lot of teams that have a stud white Tailback will often have a black quarterback as well. The Ohio Bobcats pop into my mind as I type this. They have had several good White RBs the last 15 years or so, but always seem to have a black quarterback that drags them down.

Catholic schools traditionally only recruited Catholics. Back when football was dominated by the rust belt states Notre Dame had a monopoly on the best ethnic White players because most were Catholics. Most Black Americans are protestants, so they never went to Notre Dame or to a lesser extent BC. Obviously denomination means little these days as Muslims play for these teams but back in the 50's that would never happen.
