Since '05, Baylor has started 6, 5, 9, 9, 10, 3, 6, 8 and 8 whites. In 2015 they are projected to start 6. It's a step in the wrong direction but they do have some decent depth.
QB Seth Russell is the third QB since the media's messiah RGknee was at Baylor. Florence and Petty put up better numbers than him - Petty fell to the fourth round although he had the biggest arm in the draft, was accurate and threw great deep balls - he was labeled a system QB. Petty's treatment is proof of the caste system. Florence was written off as just a product of the system while at Baylor and never sniffed the NFL.
Seth Russell is the next in line and should put up huge numbers - he should be a stud QB and light up the big 12's pourous defenses. He could be a heisman candidate with a big year. Behind him Baylor has landed a huge recruit in Jarret Stidham - a dual threat highly regarded QB.
OT Spencer Drango is one of the best left tackles in the country and should be a first round pick next year.
DT Beau Blackshear is underrated and gets no credit for the Baylor defensive line play. Hopefully he stays healthy, has a strong year and makes it to the next level.
An interesting player to watch who is currently buried on the depth chart is Colorado School of Mines Transfer RB Wyatt Schrepfer. I assume this kid is going to be getting some carries considering he transferred to Baylor from a smaller school. Looking forward to seeing him.
Players to watch include QB Jarret Stidham, WR Jacob Humber, WR Cole Edminston, RG Sean Muir, C Blake Blackmar, LT Tanner Thrift, TE Gus Penning, DT Andrew Morris, LB Harrison Miner, LB Kendall Ehrlich, NB Lee Bristow.
Offense
QB Seth Russell
WR Lynx Hawthorne
LT Spencer Drango
LG Blake Muir
Defense
DT Beay Blackshear
LB Grant Campbell
