I'm kicking off my section of the previews with what should easily be the whitest service academy team this year. Since 2005, the White Knights (a more accurate description of the team) have had 15, 16, 16, 14, 13, 15, 13, 15, 14, and 13 white starters. If a couple of white players win their position battles, there should be 14 on this year's edition!! I'm glad that Army hasn't shied away from playing white guys like Air Force and Navy have. This should be a fun triple option team to watch. Experienced QB AJ Schurr returns to run the offense, and should be a playmaker this year.
Backups include: TE/LT Ryan Alexander, C Joshua Boylan, RT Brett Toth, SAM Blake Goddard, DT Andrew McLean, DE Spencer Welton, RUSH Alex Auckerman, MLB Scott Washle, WILL Justin Fahn, BS Luke Proulx, and BC Michael McFadden. So unlike most teams, the defensive two deep for Army (with an entirely white front 7, with the exception of the MLB and the teams poly contingent at Nose Guard) is much better than its offensive two deep, which has no white skill players other than the starters. This is definitely a team to cheer for this year.
