Since 2006 there have been 5, 4, 3, 8, 4, 5, 5, 5 and 4 white starters at Alabama. Jacob Coker looks like the favourite for the job with his nearest challenger being another promising QB David Cornwell. Not much to write home about, no white starters on defense at all. Another poor showing from Nick Saban.

Offense -

QB - Jacob Coker Sr or David Cornwell Fr RShirt
FB - Michael Nysewander Fr RShirt ( When a FB is used)
LG - Ross Pierschbacher Fr RShirt
C - Ryan Kelly Sr
RG - Bradley Bozeman So

Back ups who could see time include C JC Hassenauer, TE Dakota Ball and the forgotten LB Dillon Lee.

Not a team to support apart from hoping for a good season from coker after loosing out on the starting job last year to Sims.

Alabama is gonna have a tough time keeping Dillon Lee off the field so I would expect him to see a decent amount of minutes

Alabama has a logjam at the Qb position behind Coker. They were also trying to recruit a black quarterback even though that have quite a few highly touted white freshmen and sophomore Qbs waiting in the wings. I still don't understand why all these white qbs decide to commit to the same school. I wish the ncaa would put a recruiting cap on how many players of a certain class level can be recruited. It's such a waste for all of these talented white qbs to be stockpiled and waste away on the bench.

I saw one article that said Dillon Lee would be a starter in a 3-4 defensive alignment, as one of the outside backers, but since Bama is often in a nickel package he wouldn't be on the field so much. Any white starter on defense in the SEC is miraculous of course.

He should see field quite a bit then. There are a few teams that are run heavy ln the SEC still.

Hopefully we see Dillon Lee on the field alot when looking at ourlads bleacher report and another he wasnt a starter. In a fair situation no doubt he would flourish!

Former oregon state WR Richard Mullaney has transferred to alabama. If he has a big year that will be a victory for us.

Can't remember last time Bama had a white boy at WR!

This is truly a shocking development.

I'm not sure how to feel about it. If Mullaney starts he will star and put up big numbers on a national title contender. On the other hand, Saban could screw him over with playing time, stealing his last year of eligibility and hurting his NFL draft chances.

You have to wonder why he commited there with their long history of discriminating against white players. I think Kiffin may have had something to do with it. I think they may realize they have a need at WR and Mullaney can come in and provide an immediate impact. Personally I am cautiously optimistic that Mullaney will get decent playing time - get 40-50 catches for 600 Yards. I have been wrong many times before though.

I don't think that ass Andersen was going to give him much playing time at Oregon State and Nebraska with its scattershot black quarterback would not have been a wise choice either. Alabama may have been his best shot - maybe they offered him playing time, maybe he thinks that a strong senior season will get him drafted. This is probably the biggest college football story for the upcoming season from our perspective.

This article sheds some light on the decision. It looks like the Wr position is very thin - this bodes well for Mullaney as he should be able to start right away: http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2015/06/oregon_state_graduate_transfer.html

Typical DWF or black supremacist comment from that article:

@gusmanzierre He's no threat to Foster or Black because he will be in the slot since he has no speed for the outside. He's strictly a possession receiver and after 4yrs at Oregon State, he has few highlights because he's hardly played.

Also:

Sam Adams This guy looks ok on film and I think he'll help with depth. Doesn't look to be NFL caliber though. I think he'll help though.

@Sam Adams His size is NFL caliber. He has good hands and speed. What exactly do you think is NFL caliber? Is he too white?

Been lurking for awhile now.. Having been born and raised in Alabama I can honestly say I cant remember when Bama has started a white receiver so I am absolutely thrilled for this upcoming season even though their defense other than Dillion Lee is coal black. Lets kill it Mullaney!!!

During the Spring of 14' Saban was very high on the versatile LB-Dillon Lee..who was on the way to becoming a Starter. BUT got in the dog-house after his DUI arrest...so he stayed mainly on special teams & limited spot-duty last season.....Lee who runs well at 6'-4" 242...his team mates refer to him as a "beast" & "wildman"...has been compared to AJ Hawk & patterns his game after Von Miller. Lee should see the field plenty in 15'!

Redshirt freshman OLB Keith Holcombe could be one to watch in the future...runs well...and was self promoted by forcing recruiters to take another look at high-profile Summer Camps!

Soph. LB-Walker Jones(younger brother of OL-Barrett) isn't on the two deep yet..but won't count him out

Alabama recently got a commit for 16' from 3-star LB-Riley Cole...interestingly one poster(dwf) on a chat board said "we don't need any black QB's or any white Linebackers"...this chump doesn't realize that white LBer's in the NFL have been amongst the Top Tacklers over the past several seasons??

Looking forward seeing transfer Mullaney make an impact and score some TD's! Walk-on WR Parker Barrineau scored a TD in the Spring Game.

They actually don't know that. I've had that conversation with a rabid Bama fan. He had never heard of Luke Kuechly, Kiko Alonzo, or Chad Greenway. He was willing to concede that Clay Matthews was pretty good, but had not a clue as to who the others even were. If he hadn't heard of those guys, there wasn't much point in continuing on to somebody like Ryan Kerrigan. They really don't know.

Just goes to show how obtuse the dwfs are who buy into and feed the caste system. Sometimes it's easier just to tell them how much their precious affletes suck when watching games with them rather than point out all the elite white players out there.

It sounds like Alec Morris is slightly edging out Coker right now. Coker has missed time due to a to injury. Saban doesn't sound like he has mad a definite decision and the competition may continue into the first game of the season next week vs. Wisconsin.

Good news!

Alabama's official depth chart has Mullaney as a co-starter at WR, Dillon Lee starting at SAM LB. also lists two TEs with Dakota Ball starting at one of them.

Keith Holcombe and Walker Jones both back up LBs

Mullaney had 2 catches for 38 yards. I think he can probably get 40-50 receptions and around 600 yards this season which should put him on the radar of the NFL.

I can't say enough good things about Coker though, really hopeful he stays healthy and is the starter for the year. Excited about his season and maybe heisman dark horse canidacy.

If I wanted an all expenses paid college education I'd become the 5th string quarterback. Just saying.

I totally agree with you. It's up to the individual and depends on their motivation and future aspirations.

As a fan though it is Frustrating seeing really talented guys just sit on the bench while scattershot black quarterbacks are playing and it hurts the pipeline of qbs to the pros.
