Jets just added middle linebacker A.J. Edds to their 53 man roster, who had a tremendous pre-season. He did everything right for the Jets from the minute he signed as a low-priority street free agent last spring. Matter of fact, he wasn't even signed until he looked awesome in a try-out. Even New York beat writers, who are more 'fair' to whites than most here at CF would expect, wondered how the Jets could cut him after such a great showing?

Edds, who was a 4th round pick by the Dolphins a few years ago, has had his career derailed by some major injuries early. As a 4th round pick, he probably had a decent chance to start for Miami, had he stayed injury free. But after bouncing around the league (practice squads, injured reserve, ect.) for several years, he's probably going to have fight for any roster spot the balance of career and will likely be "week to week" for the foreseeable future with the caste-Jets, as far as having a spot on their 53 man roster.

Reality is, if Edds were black, he not only would've been a 53 man roster lock, but he probably would've been talked about as potential starter and a great "feel good story", coming back from serious injuries, to re-jump start his once promising career.

After reading your post, I went to a Jets DWF blog to see their reaction to Edds re-signing. They were unanimously in favor of it. They all said how awesome he played in preseason and how he deserved to make the team on merit. One person even said he "loved Edds". Another said he was happy Edds AND Reilly made the team. I was shocked.

Now of course Rex and Idzik could cut him before Sunday or he could ride the pine all year....

Edds never got a fair shot here in Miami. He was injured and ultimately cut right away by caste-ian buffoon Jeff Ireland. If he were black, I'm sure Jeffy boy would have kept him around due to "dat upside" As it stands right now injured white players get the shaft while black players will have every opportunity to ride the pine until they can prove what busts they really are, ala Dion Jordan. Good to see Edds getting an opportunity, even if it is with the loathsome Jets.

I'm sure both were clearly to blame for their teams' losses. :suspicious:

What bull****. Need more retard affletes with upside and room brightening smiles with rap sheets a mile long. Really dont understand Sorensen he was playing a lot of minutes but we all know treatment of.whites is especially harsh at safety/rb. Ah frustrating it is..

Daniel Sorenson was flagged for an offsides penalty on a punt that helped lead to a Titans field goal...you're fired!
