Since 2005, Notre Dame has had 10, 11, 11, 11, 10, 10, 11, 11, and 9 white starters. They fall once down once again, this time to 8. Brian Kelly has fallen in love with black QBs and all three scholarship QBs on the depth chart are black, a shocking revelation for a historically white school and football team. Furthermore, Kelly has a polynesian freshman TE that he is reportedly in love with. Expect Notre Dame to fall to 7-8 starters for the next two years with the majority of white starters being on the o-line, although a good portion of the younger lineman are black. On the positive side, Koyack, Hegarty, Martin, and Lombard should all have NFL futures. RB senior Cam McDaniel was a standout last season but appears to be third on the RB committee behind two sophomores. Expect him to once again outplay these two men and earn some carries this year.

The defensive end of the ball features a true freshman starter in Andrew Trumbetti and a senior LB in former walk on Joe Schmidt. Austin Collinsworth returns at the safety position. Notre Dame has some solid white defensive depth which will make be the only thing watchable about this team in the near future.

Offense -
TE -Ben Koyack
OT - Steve Elmer
OG - Matt Hegarty
C -Nick Martin
OG - Christian Lombard

Defense -
DE - Andrew Trumbetti (true freshman)
LB - Joe Schmidt
S - Austin Collinsworth

Back ups who will very likely see playing time include TE Durham Smythe, OT Mike McGlinchey, OT Quenton Nelson, OG Connor Hanratty, C Mark Harrell, DT Jacob Matuska, DE Anthony Rabasa, LB Greer Martini, LB Ben Councell, and S Nicky Barratti.

**** Brian Kelly and the Fighting Zulus

Just read a story in the Washington ComPost this morning about a breaking academic scandal with Notre Dame football. Evidently four of Kelly's student afroletes, including the leading returning receiver, were caught not doing their own work. The investigation is ongoing. According to the university president discipline could range from an F on an assignment to an F for the class to dismissal from school, depending on what is uncovered. Supposedly Kelly is "devastated" by the news.

This is the second major academic scandal to hit Notre Dame football in three years. Last year black quarterback Everett Golston was suspended for the year for academic dishonesty.

Maybe Kelly shouldn't keep recruiting low IQ, low morality blacks, and actually start giving opportunities to white athletes who won't let him down like this. One would hope he'll eventually learn his lesson. Stop grabbing the damn stove if you keep getting burned.

Notre Dame had a record of 7-0 in games where Tailback Cam McDaniel led the team in rushing! Winning is everything right?? So WHY then would he only be 3rd string?
