I'll be honest. The only team I am vaguely interested in winning the title is Dallas. A dominant Alpha is the only thing that makes a statement in my book. Or rather its requisite for me to be invested in a team at all. At least at this point. Otherwise its watching a movie with a black lead and one or two goofy white sidekicks.

I'll start to pay attention if the Mavericks get a couple rounds deep…though this was not supposed to be their year, so not holding my breath. And the Spurs are a tough first round opponent even if they are now up a game.

A pretty good assessment Gibbon. I agree, but I am following some of the action. There are some others out there like Dirk, Gortat of Washington, who has called his teammates soft, will get his shots and boards, Gasol from Memphis, David Lee, Golden State and occasionally, Dunleavy and Chandler Parsons..

Parsons 26 points and 8 rebounds in Houston's OT loss to Portland.

I'm happy to see the Spurs win tonight. Despite loving Nowitzki, the Spurs are a better team from our perspective. Ginobli, Splitter, Bellenelli and Bonner are play quality minutes. Especially the first 3 guys I mentioned. Dirk had a great game but didn't get enough help.

Would rather see Brookly win that Toronto but at least the Raptors have one or two guys.

We need to continue to root for Golden State in the West.

"The Spurs!" Staring Parker, Duncan and their beta-orbiters! You guys definitely have stronger stomachs than me. The impressions is still clearly conveyed that blacks are superior in the sport and, because there is a mental taboo on admitting their general intellectual inferiority, superior in general.

You almost have to wonder if the teams with a few token white guys are worse than the all black teams. After all, outside of the very successful teams, white people are probably less inclined to watch an ALL black team. A few token whites and the team suddenly becomes more relatable. Nevertheless the narrative is effectively the same: blacks are superior… at least athletically…or at least in those attributes that make a better basketball player (and football player).

Of course, using this logic, arguably the worst team is a team headed by an Alpha white in a league dominated by teams headed by Alpha blacks. This is especially true if the one or two teams with the Alpha whites (Mavericks, Timberwolves) are failing to win the championships, as is nearly always the case (the recent exception being 2011 since the Bird years). Then the alpha-white becomes a shiny lure for semi-conscious or even fully conscious whites to follow a league that, certainly, in its totality, adoringly venerates blacks.

I understand having a distraction as a break from more serious matters. And certainly, I suppose, one can focus on and root for the white players (and the blacks that help the teams with more whites win). Though it seems safe to say that no money should be directed toward this league (or the NFL for that matter). Indeed, even clicking on a website whereby the league might gauge interest, receive advertising dollars because of these clicks and invest in promotions in order to grow seems like something one might even think twice about.

Then again, one could argue that one's own participation in clicking on NBA or NFL related websites has such a nominal impact (because people who think like us are such a tiny minority) that it just doesn't matter at this stage. Maybe with the same sort of cynicism one uses when one decides not to vote because all the candidates are completely worthless. Though in the voting scenario nothing is being given to one's adversary, however small. Certainly, the only way to mitigate this is to make Caste Football-like comments in the mainstream site comment sections. Only then can a negative be turned into a positive.

Dallas ties series with San Antonio 3-3 behind Dirk's 22 points!

Splitter had 19/8 for the Spurs.

I've been following these playoffs on and off, and admittedly, it's been very competitive so far. We've had a lot of close series, close games decided on the last possession, and now a whole bunch of game 7s coming up to wrap the first round.

But there's nothing to cheer about demographically. It reminds me of the NCAA tournament. There are a handful of teams with 1 white starter, several with none, and a few others with 1-2 guys coming of the bench. The few so-called white-friendly teams are all gone. Houston lost a tough one last night, Atlanta is out, GS and Memphis likely out as well.

It's beyond ludicrous the way the NBA figure-heads were all self-congratulating each other during the Sterling controversy about how wonderfully diverse the NBA is.

Diversity = complete (or near complete) elimination of white people.

Racist black on white attack cost Memphis the series as their star black player, Zach Randolph, was suspended for game 7. He claims it was not a punch but a closed fist shove.

Steven Adams is the poster boy for White players with "punchable faces." This was the 5th incident of his rookie season. Vince Carter was suspended one game for elbowing Adams, Nate Robinson was fined for striking Adams, Jordan Hamilton was suspended for striking Adams, and Larry Sanders was ejected for elbowing Adams. I respect how Adams shrugs off the thuggery, but if he would retaliate and deck one of these guys, it would probably stop.

Yeah, I guess that's why I wasn't blessed to be in the NBA or NFL. I would have snapped and tackled Randolph and just just beat the $h!^ out of him and any other brova that tried that crap. Kind of like Ralphy did Scut Farkus in A Christmas Story......!

Anyway, J.J. Redick had 20 in last nights Clippers game over Golden State. LAC wins series 4-3.

David Lee had a double/double, 13/13/3 ast.

Too bad GS is done, Redick the only white player for the Clippers, I think.

Adams needs to fight back. Probably good he didn't here though since they were going to a game 7. Adams is a good basketball player. He just needs more minutes to continue to show his upside. Other than Randolph, it's a shame Memphis lost because they must have played 4 whites yesterday. They are a fun team to watch.

Houston losing by one point two days ago was the biggest dissapoinment of the whole playoffs. I really wanted to see them get to at least the 2nd round. They lost so many close games. Then Golden State also fell short again in a game 7. I guess it's down to San Antonio or Brooklyn as the best teams to root for. The Spurs would be my preference. Maybe they can make up for choking last year. The title should have been theres.

That 's sad considering Larry Sanders got the **** beat out of him in a club boy a skinny white boy. Sanders had to resort to throwing glass, because he kept getting knocked down.

I remember when I first posted on Steven Adams back when he was a top 20 recruit out of high school bound for Pittsburgh. One of our astute posters correctly pointed out that the New Zealander is part Pacific Islander. I responded that I would root for him if the media and fans treated him as White. Well, icspet clearly shows, the evidence is in. Steven is a hated, "stiff", "white guy" by NBA standards.

He's only a rookie, has a lot to still learn and still can bulk up quite a bit. I anticipate in a few years he'll be an enforcer in the paint, cracking negro skulls on a daily basis.

Ditto. I'd beat the black off those thugs. Most of those afroletes never had a real scrap in their life. Take away their trusty, TNB "sucker punch" (&/or their 'boyz' to back them up), & they're nothing but (grossly) overpaid pantywaists.

Yea Dixie, and Carolina they are big, but they have little to no training in any fighting discipline. Get them big punks on the ground and choke em out in no time.

True. There's alot of the YoBA'ers who're taller than me (6'8), but none have my mass (300+). I'd like my odds against most of those afroletes. If my cardio was better, I'd take odds against all of 'em (mano e mano) in a street or cage fight.

I just read this from another website. It explains why the Media is not screaming bloody murder over a successful black coach being fired.

Mark Jackson was fired for being Christian. Rick Welts, team president, is openly gay. That, in itself, was a big issue. Instead of allowing coach Jackson to be himself, the gay president wanted Mark Jackson to be a company man and keep his mouth shut on such issues. Make no mistake about it, Mark Jackson is an excellent coach. The ego of the gay president sealed the fate of Mark Jackson.

Wow very interesting stuff. The gay couldn't swallow his rainbow pride and it cost their franchise a legit coach. It'll come back to bite em in the ass.

NBA is really lacking in skill and fundamentals, to much emphasis on athleticism and not enough guys who can shoot!

The main thing Ive noticed during this playoffs is the extreme inconsistency in the way the games are called. SOOOO damn much holding and wrestling by off ball defenders. Over the back must not even be a rule nomore. Defenders hand check constantly, and rarely use good footwork. Lots of reaching in for a steal, and the ball handler will slap the reaching defenders hand away. And of course they are allowed to take 3 steps now. Thats just a given. These guys travel EVERY single possession. Its rough, and foul heavy. Then out of nowhere the refs might call a little nothing foul. Its pretty much garbage, and unwatchable.

Miami Heat go to 4th straight Finals

The last franchise to do it was the Boston Celtics, led by Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Robert Parish, who went to Finals from 1984 to 1987, winning titles in 1984 and 1986.

The record for consecutive trips to NBA finals is 10 held by the Boston Celtics from 1957 to 1966. during that run they won 9 NBA Titles including 8 in a row from 1959 through 1966.
