Since 2005, Illinois has started 10, 11, 8, 5, 4, 4, 6, 8 and 10 whites. This year appears to be a step in the wrong direction as they are projected to have 8 white starters. Thankfully that garbage quoataback Scheelhaase is gone - he was one of the worst QBs I have watched.
Wes Lunt will be a QB to watch in his first action since his freshman year at Ok St. where he played very well before getting injured. Hopefully he picked up where he left off and puts up great numbers.
Some white backups to look for are: QB Reily O'Tooe, WR Mike Dudek, TE Matt LaCosse, TE Tyler White, LT Pat Flavin, LG Chris O'Connor, C Joe Spencer, RG Scott McDowell, RT Christian DiLauro, WLB Mike Svetina, and SS Taylor Barton.
