Historically one of the least white friendly programs in the nation, Florida has started 6, 6, 6, 3, 3, 3, 2, and 2 Whites since 2005. In 2012, they even played a half with no white players after QB Jeff Driskel was injured. In a new offense, the aforementioned dual threat Driskel will look to lead Florida's return to SEC contention. Joining him will be pass-cathing Virginia TE transfer Jake McGee. They will move up to likely 4 white starters this year. There is some promise in that they have several key young white defensive players.

Offense -
QB - Jeff Driskel
TE - Jake McGee
LG - Trip Thurman
RG - Tyler Moore (in a fight for position)

Back ups on the two deep include QB Will Grier, C Cameron Dillard, OG Drew Sarvary, DT Joey Ivie, and LB Matt Rolin. LB Alex Anzalone and DE Jordan Sherit may also find their way into the defensive two deep.

Glad to see this. Skyar Mornhinweg confronts and punches a criminal black teammate who stole his cleats - despite giving up 40 pounds.

A few years ago, a local DC sports radio show called the Sports Junkies was talking about how Alex Smith punched out a black teammate for messing with him.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Florida coach Will Muschamp has another issue to deal with this week.

[h=2]According to the University Police Department, reserve quarterback Skyler Mornhinweg, son of New York Jets offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg, and teammate Gerald Willis got into a fight over a pair of missing cleats Monday night.[/h]

Mornhinweg sustained ''small lacerations on his lower lip'' and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to the police report. Willis had a ''small cut on his chin'' but did not get medical attention.
Mornhinweg told police the fight started Monday night after his missing cleats were located in Willis' locker. Mornhinweg said he asked Willis about the cleats outside Florida Field following practice, and their discussion escalated into a physical altercation.
Willis was no longer at the scene when police arrived, so an officer met with Willis at the football facility Tuesday. Willis told the officer he couldn't locate his cleats recently, feared being late to practice and grabbed the nearest pair to him.
Willis said the two exchanged words, adding that he felt threatened by Mornhinweg standing over him. Willis said he pushed Mornhinweg, who responded by striking Willis with a closed fist. Willis then struck Mornhinweg in the mouth.
Both players declined to press charges, closing the case.
The scuffle came hours after the team suspended quarterback Treon Harris. Authorities are investigating sexual assault allegations against him in an early Sunday incident.
With Harris out and third-string quarterback Will Grier recovering from back spasms, Mornhinweg could be the backup heading into Saturday night's game against LSU.
Mornhinweg, a third-year sophomore from Philadelphia, played in three games late last season after starter Jeff Driskel and backup Tyler Murphy were injured. The 6-foot-3, 212-pound Mornhinweg completed 70 percent of his passes for 344 yards, with three touchdowns and an interception.
Willis, a 6-foot-3, 255-pound freshman defensive lineman from New Orleans, has four tackles and half a sack in two games.

The skylar morningweg incident is comparable to when a mud shark gets abused by her boyfriend. What did he expect when he chose to go to Florida?

I kinda see what you're saying. But not really mud sharks don't fight back. He fought back like a man. Sometimes a punch to the face is what it takes for some people to be humbled. If anything this scuffle will get him street cred in the locker room.

I don't understand this. Players stealing cleats from teammates. Division I, Division I-AA, and as a matter of fact D-II football players are provided all the cleats they need. What is the reasoning behind this?

I'll do y'all one better. He's an afrolete, & that criminality comes quite naturally. Thus, the groidians are incredibly given to thuggery (of all sorts). That boy would likely steal a park bench if it wasn't cemented down.

Perhaps this was a case where a black targeted a white person for theft because they were white.

Theon Harris has been reinstated by Florida. He won't start, but I expect him to play as soon as Driskel crumbles yet again.
