Tonight's early top performances.....

Vucevic, OR. 25/14, continuing to be a beast for coal black Orlando.

Dragic, PHX. 22/6/7 assists
Bogdanovic, BRK. 22 pts.
Parsons, DAL. 17/9/6

Nowitzki, only 13 points in limited action.

Mozgov, DEN. 14/11

.....and finally Kevin Love. After leading his team in scoring and of course rebounding, 20/10, with 3:37 left in the 3rd quarter, Love seemingly disappears from the action over the last 15 plus minutes!

Love takes 2 shots and grabs one more rebound as Cleveland loses to the 3-7 Denver Nuggets!

I have been after Love early in the season for his horrendous shooting, but he was 7-11 and 20 pts. in the 3rd quarter, saying he needs to take advantage of his opportunities, however, I may have to stand corrected if this continues as it seems Irving and James must have became crazed at the fact that Love may lead the team in scoring and decided to keep the ball to themselves at the expense of losing the game.

Irving and James combined to shoot 13-30 and 8 TO's

James probably told Love even indirectly when he came there, to NEVER outshine him, or else. He'd turn all the bruthas against him and the media would follow suit. If Love doesn't play second (or third) fiddle, he'll be labeled as selfish, or a troublemaker, or whatever. And while I'm at it, as you know Carolina Speed, I am a Bible-believing Christian and I always found the nickname "King James" for this clown to be irreverent and wicked. The King James Bible is a Holy Book and it's my Bible of choice and has been the Bible of the greatest reformation and evangelism in the history of the world. The irreverent and godless media dopes shamelessly put that name to him. I will be glad when he is gone even though I haven't watched b-ball for years...

Orlando's not too coal: don't forget the Frenchman, Evan Fournier, having a breakout season averaging 17.6 pts per game. Also, Luke Ridnour gets significant minutes off the bench. Vucevic is a beast for sure, having his best season.

I don't consider Fournier White, but what do you guys think? I'll add him if there is a consensus. To me, he looks a little like Noah on the Bulls.

The Bulls won a tough road game against the Clippers without Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol. Impressive. Dunleavy, Hinrich and Mirotic all had good games. The Bulls are 8-3 and first place in the Central. I think they are the best team to root for this year.

The best team in the West is the Grizzlies at 10-1. They are lead by Marc Gasol and Leuer, Koufos and Udrih are key members of the rotation. Dallas, with Dirk and Chandler Parsons, are right in the mix at 8-3 too.

Tyler Zeller had his best game last night with 19 points on 8-9 shooting with 7 rebounds. On the season he's shooting an absurd 86% from the field. If he qualified in attempts, he'd be 1st in the NBA. It's a shame Boston's only 2 White players (both good) play the same position.

Neither do I. If you look on the team roster page, he's as dark or darker than Aaron Gordon, who is black.

The only 2 obviously white players are Ridnour and Vucevic. I consider 2 of only 15 players white, or 87%, to be coal black team. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe coal black means 100% black.

Anyway, I haven't ever mentioned Fournier, because he wasn't on the list of white players Freethinker posted, and looking at him, I didn't consider him white either.

I absolutely consider him "whiter" than Brook and Robin Lopez, who's uncle was a dark-black Cuban MLB pitcher in the 1960's -- think Yasiel Puig. Search "Marcelino Lopez and Topps" for photo proof....I also consider him much whiter than Aaron Gordon, who also has a dark black father.

I remember seeing Fournier's parents when he was drafted. His dad is a dorky white dude and his mother was either Arab or lighter skinned Indian? I'd say he's the spitting image (male version) of his mother, but somewhat lighter-skinned because of his white father?

Former NHL star Bill Guerin, who was always considered white, comes from a similar looking mother and has a very similar look to Fournier.

Here's a photo:

Here are photos of a woman I "assume" is Fournier's mother. Her surname prior to marriage appears to be Algerian?

I thought the standards were relaxed a little for the NBA, being an 80% black league. Yao Ming and Jeremy Lin are caste busters with Asian blood. Israelis Gal Mekel and Omri Casspi get a pass. Turkish players have been deemed white. South Americans with a little something, like Ginobili and Prigioni are in the club. Fournier is 0% black, and 50% or more white. He's a caste buster. He's not Devon Allen, octaroon. Which magical gene will get credit for his success? I'll count him as white, for NBA purposes.

I think we had this discussion on what is considered white and what is not on one of the threads about about a year ago.

I try and give reports on the performances of the guys in the NBA as deemed in the opening post of this thread. If someone wants Fournier's stats posted then do it.

I'm all for someone helping with posting white players stats every evening as I can't always get to it.

Back to whose white and who isn't. I guess I don't know anymore who is and who isn't. I'm of German/English descent with light brown to blonde hair and blue eyes and gets burnt if I look at the sun. So, I think I'm white?

.....and just because there's a picture of a guys dad, doesn't necessarily mean it's their biological dad, if you know what I mean.

Fair point. I've certainly been very generous counting the Lopez twins, Kanter, Prigioni, Humphries, Adams, Varejao and maybe another guy or 2. I've never questioned Ginobili and the 2 Israelis are certainly not my favorites but they pass the "eye test". I'll add Fournier to the list, after all the DWFs surely will see him as White as will the black players.

Edit to add: So I did some roster updates and moved some teams around based on corresponding moves. While doing this I couldn't help but notice the 3 worst teams in my ranking (each only play 1 White athlete off the bench) are having bad seasons thus far.

Charlotte is 4-7.
LA Lakers are 2-9 for the worst record in the West.
Philadelphia is 0-10, worst in the East and NBA.

They should be awesome since they are not hampered by nonathletic White guys, no?

The Mavs beat the Knicks in overtime tonight as Dirk went for a season high 30. Jose Calderon had 7 3's as he went for 21 points, 10 boards, 4 assists in his homecoming. Parsons also had a nice game for Dallas. Pablo Prigioni with 12 points, 6 assists off the bench.

Kevin Love had a decent game with 21 and 5 as Cleveland beat Washington.

Memphis plays the Lakers tonight on NBATV. The Griz are just about the best CF team right now along with the Bulls, so that game is worth watching.

Ginobilli wih 28 as the Spurs beat Indiana.

Hayward with 24

Korver with 19.

Love had 28 points in his last game. Maybe he's turned the corner and will start pouring in 20+ outings nightly.

Kevin Love 20/7 at halftime! He has brought his season FG% to .439, almost to his career average of .451, thus he's scoring more of late. Hopefully he continues to shoot better. He's 7/9 at halftime!

Wow Freethinker! A great night for our guys!

That Mike Dunleavy kills me. He could have been a career 20+ pts/game player, if he wasn't so passive!

Kevin Love had only 11 points tonight against the Knicks on 4-11 shooting. He's had some good nights lately, but it's obvious Love is going to have to make the most of his opportunities every night to get 20 points much less average 26 points as he did last season. It's sad to see. It's almost like he's just a role player some times.

Anyway, Love finishes 11/11

.....and last night

Redick, LAC. 20 points
Kanter, UT. 19/9
Hayward, UT. 16
Parsons, DAL. 14/8/4 assts.

I've been pleased with Hayward and Montiejunas this season. They have both made big strides towards getting up to the next level. Utah
is lucky they matched the offer on Gordon Hayward. He is becoming the face of the franchise. As for the Houston Rockets, they are also fortunate to have Montiejunas playing better with the loss of Chandler Parsons to the Mavs. I hope both of these guys continue to light it up and help their teams.

I would love to see New Orleans find a way to get Jimmer some more minutes. What a waste that he is on his 3rd team in a few years and he still barley plays. So sad. One other bit of bad news. Doug McDermott is having knee surgery.

I flipped on Sportscenter for a moment and it happened to show the Celtics vs 76ers highlights. To my surprise, the whole segment was Kelly Olynyk doing his thing. He scored with an impressive array of three pointers, post moves, finger rolls and fad-away jumpers off the dribble! Unreal for a 7 footer. His upside is Dirk Nowitzki.
