I like seeing Brees destroying defenses with excellent movement in the pocket and accuracy with a group of receivers that would be nobodys if they had landed anywhere else. Robert Meachem for instance, he went to the Chargers and didn't do jack after doing well for the Saints. I just wish he had a White guy to throw to, hed be even more dominant. Mike Hass would be 10x better than Lance Moore (both were on the practice squad, one is about 1/16th black, Hass isn't) Moore is smaller and slower, gets no yac but put up 1k last year. Hell Brees put up 5k passing 1 year without one single person getting 1k receiving.
getting rid of the Snow Patrol was a real bummer, they turned that defense around. The MLB was up there in age but Shanle and Fujita were always hated on and were the best on d. Chris Reis should have gotten a shot at safety over Roman Harper, a guy that can only blitz, can't tackle/play the run and sucks and coverage. He picked off Sam Bradford and got caught from behind, by Sam Bradford, could you imagine dwfs laughing at a White db if that occurred?
So it seems injuries aren't the only way to get White players into starting positions, completely rebuilding teams seems to have a similar effect. The Saints were really dark before Payton. He knew they have guy could start and be above average having been around the Cowboys, which is wherehe got Shanle and Fujita from, guys that might not have gotten a chance to start for a long period of time.
Its a quick, cheap and easy way of rebuilding a franchise. You'd probably have to spend the most on o line and qb. I mean Jeff Saturday was out of football before he got a shot with the Colts, only to become one of the best centers in the league. Think about how many guys there are like that out there. TONS.
It was cool to see Jeremy Shockey and David Thomas split out wide in some formations during the Superbowl run.
Everyone is pumped up about Ingram because he finally had a good game after several years against a depleted Giants D, this is a first round pick, the guy who beat out Gerhart for the Heisman. It looks like the White linebacker for the Falcons aren't going to let him get anywhere. The guy can't cut, his shuttle time is the same as his 40 time, 4.62, yet this was a first round pick, who they traded back into the first round to get. He is a north south runner in a literal sense, if he has to make a small cut its going for 2 to 3 yards after the most.
