2013 NFL Draft

Here are 86 players w/ my projection on where they will be drafted based on the Caste System. My projections are actually higher just as everyone else on this forum’s would be. The total number of picks in this draft is 254. IF these 86 players were selected it would comprise 33% of the total draft class. Trends over the past few years have been about 25% of players being drafted. A rough estimate of the number of players drafted (non-punter/kickers) is between 55-65. If 65 of players on this list were drafted that would put the percentage of players at roughly 25%. Leaving 21 of the players listed below as UDFAs. I will revisit this list post draft and compare to the actual results. I am betting that at LEAST 20 of these players do not get drafted.

This QB class is interesting. 5 years ago Barkley, Jones, Bray (if he did not have off-field concerns), Glennon would all be viewed as very good and compelling prospects and their wouldn’t be a debate as to whether or not they are first rounders. I believe this is a very good QB class. With the NFL having time to prepare for the spread option and eventually figure it out I believe that these QBs will have the ability to succeed since they have the tried and true abilities of playing within the pocket that have been the cornerstone of the position since the forward pass became a staple of NFL offenses.

The running back position was greeted with some optimism at the beginning of the college season. Unfortunately Burkhead hurt his knee the first week of the season and did not have that great season where he put up great numbers. Zach Line was quietly consistent and one of the best RBs in college the past 3-4 seasons. Both these guys put up good numbers – ran 4.6s at their prodays yet for obvious reasons will not be considered as full time running backs. Kyle Juszcyk seems to be gaining some late round momentum as an H-BACK type.
RB/FB - 4
1. Rex Burkhead Nebraska 4[SUP]th[/SUP]-5[SUP]th[/SUP] Round

Every year their seems to be 6 or 7 guys that should get drafted yet every year only 2-3 do get drafted and not until the later rounds. These rankings are admittedly dashed with some wishful thinking. Swope really surprised a lot of people with his 4.3 40. Vernon has the best hands I have seen since Mike Hass. McGuffie has to be the most ignored elite athlete after running a 4.28 40 – not a word has been spoken of that. Hopefully all these guys do get drafted as it would be a nice addition to the static numbers currently in the NFL.

TE has been a bright spot. I think these guys have a very good chance of getting drafted and making an impact as this position has been blossoming (I use that term loosely) over the past few seasons.

Three guys are projected to go top 10 which is always good. It seems like a mini-rebirth at the Tackle position. Pretty good depth as well. Some of these guys such as Pugh and Kyle Long may be destined to move inside at the next level. Quessenberry is probably a top 3 fav prospect of mine in this draft.

This is a somewhat weak position but considering some players I have listed at tackle might be moving inside makes it somewhat more bearable. Barrett Jones is being criminally underrated. He can play any position along the line. Brian Winters is a nasty player with a mean streak.

Center is a position that is somewhat underappreciated. Schwenke has been a riser and should be a 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] round pick. Frederick is a mauling type and will hopefully get picked early as well.

Defensive end is getting a little harder to project with more teams going to hybrid systems where these guys would play standing up as OLBs. Werner and Hunt should both go fairly early. Again, it looks like the number of players with the possibility of getting draft is fairly low as it has been for awhile.

DT is probably one of the most obvious CS positions. None of these guys have been rated very high by the media, scouts or “expertsâ€. I would recommend to compare Rob Lohr (who played in the SEC), Joe Vellano and Scott Vallone’s career stats and workout numbers to those of Shariff Floyd and Sheldon Richardson and see the disparity between them. It’s pretty eye opening – yet Lohr, Vellano and Vallone were not invited to the combine and are more than likely going to be afterthoughts.

OLB has decent depth. Alonso is an athletic LB that excels at playing in space. Chase Thomas is not being talked about enough due to the 4.8 he ran at the combine yet Jarvis Jones who proved to be less athletic is still getting a first round grade – just some food for thought there.

Pretty standard year for the safety class. Cooper Taylor is being talked about by no one and should be a 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] round pick yet will probably drop for obvious reasons. Motta did not have a great pre draft season due to running slow but should still get drafted. Cody Davis seems to be a late riser and created a lot of buzz with his proday workout. Boyett is a wildcard due to his knee injuries – he is a guy I had pegged as a 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] round before missing the whole season.
S - 5

Yes Cooper Taylor should be a first rounder. How many dbs are 6'5 228 pounds with sub 4.5 speed? that have the ability to flip their hips like dbs under 6 foot. The big cornerbacks the Seahawks have aren't even as athletic as him, yet they get plenty of praise.

I think Kovacs should go higher but like Jaxvid said, his attitude and him making fun of himself really doesn't sit right with coaches. Even though he is White, I don't think I would want a guy like that on my team. If it were high school Id have to scream at him and ask him what the hell is wrong with him.

as far as rbs, its a shame that Burkhead and Line aren't ranked higher, look back at 2011 at some of "top" guys that people thought would have a big impact.

Murray had a few great games and put up 1k from scrimmage but has had injury problems, the same with most on the list. Jones was a small schooler that I knew wouldn't translate well to the NFL level as a runner they are now trying to put him at corner. Lets not forget about others like Delone Carter, Shane Vereen, Daniel Thomas, Alex Green. Stevan Ridley has had the most impact and I would say Burkhead has more explosion than him, and can catch much better and pass protect.

Mike Catapano seems to be a big sleeper that I can see making a huge impact.

I will use this list as a reference point. I guess Ericksen is not expected to get drafted which is a shame due to his speed. I think Zach Rogers will get drafted ahead of McGuffie and I am not positive Sam M will actually get drafted. Hope all these guys get drafted though one way or the other. I like the speed of this wide receiver group and a few real good looking safety propects.

Ray Holley might be considered a late round pick. He's small(5'8) but no white runningback is ever considered the perfect size. They're either too big, slow,small,short, or stiffed hipped!

Jordan Roberts who was mentioned here by members almost 5 years ago is an intriguing prospect! Luckily he got the hell out of WVU and ended up with a great career at Charleston.

Leonardfan, great work on this list. My fear is that most of the players you are projecting at 7th round won't actually be drafted. I'm thinking more like only 3 or 4 white WR's will be drafted, but agree that there will be lots of tackles, QB's, and tight ends taken.

I supported Kovacs for his time at Michigan against the wrath of many a maize and blue DWF, but there was no sarcasm his self deprecating remarks at the post season banquets or with the reporters that covered the team. I really do wish him the best and hope his hard work, lunch bucket, work ethnic, and not being the best athlete out there, leads to some success. But frankly after hearing this crap for years I'm tired of it. Personally I think he would have done better to just keep his mouth shut about his perceived lack of afleticism but that was the role he was pushed into and he played it to the hilt. Maybe he can get some more mileage out of it.

Incidentally while looking up some info on Kovacs I found out about the Burlsworth Trophy. He was a candidate for it until the U relented and finally decided to give him a scholorship. I think they should call it the Caste Football Trophy as it seems 90% of the guys we follow are non-scholorship.

Yes, excellent work by Leonardfan, and I agree with Referendum that there will be a lot of disappointments as far as players not selected, because there are every year. The NFL is nothing if not completely predictable when it comes to maintaining its extremist affirmative action policy.

But this is the weakest draft ever in the Caste System era as far as "sure thing" blacks, as even all of the most highly touted ones have glaring weaknesses. Can you remember a year when the first round mock drafts were so divergent leading into the Draft as this year? I can't. I take it as another sign that the pool of black talent continues to shrink at a fast pace. The Caste System is no different than a lot of other economic and social problems the ruling class is trying to ignore or paste over -- the "center" (meaning the fanatically guarded status quo) may not hold much longer. The best thing young White football players can do is work harder than ever to make themselves stick out in a black sea of mediocrity and worse.

I totally agree with this draft being a disappointment. The draft is perennially a disappointment. I do realize that 20+ of those players I listed will not get drafted, it was just the most realistic prediction I could make of the players I think have the best chance being drafted.

I am just looking forward to being validated when my prediction on how many white players get drafted proves to be very close to what actually happens. Although its not like I am going out on a limb.

I am sure I will have plenty of ranting posts after the draft and am looking forward to contacting the NFL league office.

I too want to give Leonardfan props on a outstanding list of info on the football players that we love and follow. I know it took alot of time and energy. Your very valuable here and we really appreciate your effforts in contributing to this great message board. I've been busier than ever working but I need to find time regardless. Two others guys missing for a while now are C. Reb. and J. Chittwood. I hope they are both doing ok and that they come back soon. They are sorely missed. Keep up the great work Leonardfan.

As far as the draft goes, I'm excited to see some huge playmakers with speed on the offensive side of the ball. If we can get more Jordy Nelson type receivers, it will really help our cause at fighting the stupid 40 times stereotypes that we face. I also think that Burkhead and Line are both too good to be ignorred. I'm going to try and stay positive that maybe somehow this time will be different. It can't get much worse than where Leonard and Gerhart went. Is is Thursday yet?

McGuffie most likely doesn't get drafted. What a shame. He's an even better athlete that the midget Tavon Austin that all the scouts are hyping up. Had his production been better in college he would probably be a late round pick. Maybe he'll make it as an UDFA like Woodhead.

I know Sam McGuffie was home sick after his freshman year at Michigan but I still wish he would have stayed there. Rex Burkhead gets alot of credit and publicity because he played in an major conf. against high caliber defenses. It would have helped out McGuffie more in my opinion if he could have toughed it out. He would have become a household name. Oh well. The kid is a freak athlete with measurables that are off the charts. Some team just has to take a chance on him. If speed is what all of the teams want, he runs a 4.28! Draft and play the kid. It's not rocket science!

Wr's watch most important

The wide receivers hold most interest for me. Yes the Tight Ends look pretty good and some DE's like Margus Hunt are intiguing. The safeties Cooper and Davis are very athletic and Boyett could be a sleeper . The QB's are not inspiring from an athletic standpoint. But the wide outs draw the most attention. I like the speed here. Spadola has all the tools. Lenz, Swope and Rogers have blinding speed and are really good. Moe who is quick and Vernon don't have that kind of speed but the scouts are high on both of them. Kaufman has size and McGuffie has the measurables which is ultra important. I see him as a return man though. Having seen him in college at Mich and Rice I have to honestly say he was a dissapointment. His instincts seemed off but as a return man he might electrify. I pray he gets drafted. ND John Goodman is getting some chat up but he rarely played at ND for some reason but he has good measurables.
Lets hope for a big draft for the wideouts.

This is a somewhat weak position but considering some players I have listed at tackle might be moving inside makes it somewhat more bearable. Barrett Jones is being criminally underrated. He can play any position along the line. Brian Winters is a nasty player with a mean streak.

I would recommend to compare Rob Lohr (who played in the SEC), Joe Vellano and Scott Vallone’s career stats and workout numbers to those of Shariff Floyd and Sheldon Richardson and see the disparity between them. It’s pretty eye opening – yet Lohr, Vellano and Vallone were not invited to the combine and are more than likely going to be afterthoughts.

Motta did not have a great pre draft season due to running slow but should still get drafted. Cody Davis seems to be a late riser and created a lot of buzz with his proday workout. Boyett is a wildcard due to his knee injuries – he is a guy I had pegged as a 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] round before missing the whole season.
S - 5

Another article discussing the stereotyping of white players - their have been more of these types of articles this year then I can remember. Swope, Burkhead and Vernon have all had articles written about them - maybe this is a small step in the right direction - it's not the most aggressive method of exposing the caste system but it's a start.

This discrimination has been existent for the past 30 years in sports so at some point it will reach its boiling point. Hopefully this is the beginning of mainstream America acknowledging the problem.

As a Dolphins fan I am absolutely dreading this draft. There have even been rumors that Caste Whore GM Jeff Ireland wants to give our 2nd round pick to the Chiefs for affletic sumo supaman OL Brendan Albert. Watch him pick nothing but black offensive and defensive lineman. The only silver lining to this is, this will almost guarantee another sub-500 season and being that this is the last year of Irelands contract, he will most certainly not be brought back next year. Maybe then we'll get a less caste-ian GM next go-around. I apologize for constantly harping on the fins. I know CF is a site dedicated to promoting white athletes as opposed to rooting for certain teams. I just grew up a huge Dolphins fan and I grew up loving the nearly all white teams Don Shula put together, especially during their time playing in the Orange Bowl. This crap masquerading itself as the Miami Dolphins these days is not the team I grew up with. I would love to see all of these interlopers ruining this team roto-rootered on out of South Florida for good.

Glad y'all missed me, although I haven't received a non-reply PM from anyone in many months. I miss hearing from people through those like in the early days of my time here. I still check the boards, I just don't usually have time to post. These days, it is post on CF or try to sleep, and I need sleep for everything that I'm doing now. I knew (back when I was constantly posting as a broke single grad student) that this day would come, I just didn't know when. Well, it is here. I know have a more than full time job that I'm very thankful for and that I enjoy reasonably well. My job isn't my life, but it pays the bills. As much as I have enjoyed CF over the years, and learned so much from the posters here, it isn't my life either. I do hope to have more time to post this summer. I appreciate the work that Leonardfan has done, as well as everyone one else who keeps CF going. I know Don has sacrificed a lot for our cause over the decades, and I'm glad that this avenue is available to us.
