Figured we needed a thread. The MLB playoffs seem to be the whitest they've been in a while with Boston, St. Louis, Oakland, Atlanta and the Rays having very pale teams.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Cardinals versus the Athletics. Basically as long as the Tigers and Dodgers lose I'll be happy.

Are the Rays that White friendly? They seemed pretty hispanic to me but I didn't watch much of them during the season and just caught most of the last two games.

Atlanta started 6 whites tonight. I didn't see one black for St. Louis (though they have a few Hispanics).

Thought I saw 6 whites for the Rays last night but not 100% sure.

Ive been a huge baseball fan nearly all my life and I can say that the playoffs have been getting whiter in recent years, however the rays are not a team to cheer for. As it stands right now the Rays currently start only two white position players (3 if you count longoria) with a rotation that only has 2 white starting pitchers.

The A's, depending on if the pitcher they face is right or left handed, and who they start at pitcher(colon only non white SP) start 6-8 whites and the Red Sox always start 8 as well. The Cards will always start 6 whites, and depending on whether or not Gattis remains in the lineup, the Braves may start 5-6 whites once again depending on who is pitching that day (Garcia and Teheran are two non white SP on the Braves). Pirates are about 50-50 and the the Rays, tigers, and Dodgers start majority black and latino players.

Last year was the whitest the playoffs have been in awhile with the Reds, Cardianls, Nats, and Giants all starting 6 white players and in the AL the A's and Orioles starting 6-7

Good to see the Red Sox - who often start 7 whites - make the ACLS. Hopefully they will play the A's who are doing their best to hand the series to the repulsive Tigers.

Would rather see St. Louis play the Dodgers but the Pirates have enough white talent to make me support them as well if they play LA.

On a side note, it is amazing to see how far baseball has slipped in popularity. The stands are still full but when I was a kid baseball was as popular as football and all my friends followed the playoffs and talked about the games at school.

I also noticed the trend toward filling teams with Dominicans and Puerto Ricans has slowed dramatically. Even with the heavily caste Dodgers and Tigers, the playoffs seem to be 2/3s white.

A Red Sox v. Cardinals series will be about 75 - 80% white depending on the pitchers.

They can start as many as 5 whites if they wanted to. Yes, they have lots of Hispanics too, but they have some talented young white players, such as Pitchers Alex Cobb and Matt Moore, also OF's Matt Joyce and young Wil Myers, who put up similar numbers to Puig, but you'll never here about it because of the melanin deficiency he was born with, to go along with 3B Evan Longoria and the dependable 2B Ben Zobrist.

Congratulations St. Louis. Glad to see Holliday, Wainright, Freese and co. moving on to the NLCS!

Joe Maddon is a total a$$hole, plain and simple and I hope Tampa never, ever wins anything with this jerk as their skipper. He's a progressive wing-nut, who has gone out his way to advertise his pro-illegal alien agenda. ESPN's midget, communist dirt bag Jeremy Schaap has done several features revolving around Maddon's desire to welcome "Undocumented Immigrant's" to the town he grew up in - Hazleton, Pa.

Of course, Hazleton is the town of ex-minor league baseball player (now U.S. congressman) Lou Barrletta, who has bravely fought for America and American's against this tide of invaders that have helped destroy this nation. Maddon, also a ex-minor league player (never made the majors), no doubt is doing this garbage to thumb his nose at Congressman Barletta, who he might've known or played against grown up?

As far as potential World Series match ups, I'll take the Cards in the NL.....And Boston or Oakland in the AL. Anything except a LA vs. Detroilet series.

Longoria is hispanic, his dad is a Mestizo from Mexico.

As far as the Red Sox go, Jacoby Ellsbury is part Native american but is soft spoken and humble enough for me to root for him. The media also portrays him as white as far as I know as you hardly ever hear about his Native American heritage. Victorino is part Hawaiin but once again is humble and hard working, so I'm a fan of his.

Definitely rooting for a Red Sox - Cards world series.

Two clear caste matchups with obvious teams to pull for.

Go Red Sox and Cards.

I understand the broader caste considerations in rooting for Boston to win the AL.. but damn, it's hard to root against Verlander. 8 shut-out innings last night. I think 15 shut-out innings since the start of October.

I watched game 5 last night, and my man Verlander made it look easy, even with a herd of DWFs behind the plate tossing yellow towels in his line of vision ~

I wouldn't mind seeing Detroit and the Dodgers win it all. Sherzer, Verlander vs Kershaw, Greinke.

No question, I'm no Red Sox fan, but if I'm watching the World Series, it'll have to be at least the Cards making it. I'm hoping for a World Series Championship to reside in St. Louis, but if it's Boston/L.A., I will be pulling for Boston.

Cardinals now up two games to none on the Dodgers after winning 1-0 today.

Yasiel "Porky" Puig struck out in all four of his plate appearances. Anointed a future Hall of Famer by the corporate media after a fast start to his rookie season, Porky ended the season at .319 and just 42 RBIs in 382 at bats to go along with 97 strikeouts.

Yes! the BoSox come back from being down 5 runs to win game 2 by a score of 6-5. I really, really do not want to see the Tigers in the WS. I don't think there's a single white player in their lineup, yet they skate through the playoffs thanks to whites Verlander and Scherzer. Cards up 2-0 on the negro and latino packed dodgers (also benefitting from 2 great white pitchers Greinke and Kershaw). The cards have to be the whitest team in baseball and one of the best teams in baseball. Folks, I knew from spring training this cardinal team would be something special, better than the last 2 cardinal teams that won the WS. They have an insane crop of under 25 year old white shut down pitchers, a huge white rookie first baseman in Matt Adams that hit 17 hrs in part time. David Freese, a post season specialist, Holliday, and the emergence of Matt Carpenter who led the league in hits, doubles, and runs. I have to give props to the Latino Beltran, he's a great player and I don't mind whiter Latinos like him as much as I mind latino blacks. Beltran is about as dark as it gets on the Cardinals !!!

Lots of whining by the Hollywood homos and the media about Hanley Ramirez getting a boo boo and not being able to play the last game. So let's take note of who the Cardinals had injured this year: Rafael Furcal SS, Chris Carpenter ace P, Jaime Garcia SP, Jason Motte Closer, and Allen Craig their best hitter (all out for the season, Carpenter is done for his career) Craig sounds like he needs surgery, but there is still hope he could be a PH or DH in the WS if they make it. Matt Adams has done an amazing job filling in for him.

Are Johnny Gomes and Daniel Nava of the Red Sox white? They certainly look like they are, but the last names kinda throw me off.

If they are Hispanic, they are Hispanics like Cameron Diaz and Rich Rodriguez (former coach of Michigan). They look like all the other white Red Sox (only Ortiz stands out in this lineup - even Victorino is half white, half Hawaiian). The spelling of Gomes (rather than Gomez) leads me to believe he might be of Portuguese extraction (lots of them in Rhode Island and Massachusetts).

Bottom line - this is a great white team to cheer for and maybe the two whitest teams in MLB will meet in the World Series.

The Tigers are horrendous from a caste standpoint. They had two whites in the whole lineup last night!

Two whites? You must be counting Avilla as he fits your description of white looking hispanics and Don Kelly starts once in a while. (to the immense anger of the DWF fan base)
