I wouldn't mind seeing the Cardinals versus the Athletics. Basically as long as the Tigers and Dodgers lose I'll be happy.Figured we needed a thread. The MLB playoffs seem to be the whitest they've been in a while with Boston, St. Louis, Oakland, Atlanta and the Rays having very pale teams.

Atlanta started 6 whites tonight. I didn't see one black for St. Louis (though they have a few Hispanics).
Thought I saw 6 whites for the Rays last night but not 100% sure.
Are the Rays that White friendly? They seemed pretty hispanic to me but I didn't watch much of them during the season and just caught most of the last two games.
Good to see the Red Sox - who often start 7 whites - make the ACLS. Hopefully they will play the A's who are doing their best to hand the series to the repulsive Tigers.
Would rather see St. Louis play the Dodgers but the Pirates have enough white talent to make me support them as well if they play LA.
They can start as many as 5 whites if they wanted to. Yes, they have lots of Hispanics too, but they have some talented young white players, such as Pitchers Alex Cobb and Matt Moore, also OF's Matt Joyce and young Wil Myers, who put up similar numbers to Puig, but you'll never here about it because of the melanin deficiency he was born with, to go along with 3B Evan Longoria and the dependable 2B Ben Zobrist.

Two clear caste matchups with obvious teams to pull for.
Go Red Sox and Cards.
2013 Cardinals | .327 |
1996 Rockies | .311 |
2007 Tigers | .311 |
1975 Red Sox | .310 |
2000 Rockies | .309 |
2006 White Sox | .307 |
If they are Hispanic, they are Hispanics like Cameron Diaz and Rich Rodriguez (former coach of Michigan). They look like all the other white Red Sox (only Ortiz stands out in this lineup - even Victorino is half white, half Hawaiian). The spelling of Gomes (rather than Gomez) leads me to believe he might be of Portuguese extraction (lots of them in Rhode Island and Massachusetts).
Bottom line - this is a great white team to cheer for and maybe the two whitest teams in MLB will meet in the World Series.
The Tigers are horrendous from a caste standpoint. They had two whites in the whole lineup last night!
