This year, like usual, he have an exciting season filled with talented wide receivers and tight ends. Personal favorites of mine like Conner Vernon and Ryan Swope are gone but studs like Alex Neutz, Michael Campanaro, Jared Abbrederis and Alex Amidon are back. Hopefully some young and up-and-comers will emerge. We need more stars.

Here's the top 75 receiving leaders after week 2

#2 - Alex Neutz (SR), Buffalo - 15 catches for 295 yards & 2 TDs
#14 - Alex Amidon (SR), Boston College - 18 for 239 & 2 TDs
#33T - Jared Abbrederis (SR), Wisconsin - 10 for 184 & 3 TDs
#36T - Domonic Rufran (JR), Wyoming - 16 for 181 & 3 TDs (his ethnic composition is questionable)
#40 - Travis Van Leeuwen (SR), Utah St - 11 for 177 & 1 TD
#45 - Chris Humphrey (JR), Kent St - 10 for 172 & 2 TDs

#53T - Nelson Spruce (SO), Colorado - 12 for 161 & 1 TD
#62 - Chase Cochran (JR), Ohio - 9 for 151 & 1 TD

An update after week 3, albeit a late one.

Top 75 receiving leaders after week 3

#8 - Alex Neutz (rsSR), Buffalo - 25 catches for 338 yards & 3 TDs. Down 6 spots after a high catch, low yardage week.
#21 - Jace Amaro (JR), Texas Tech - 20 for 281 & 1 TD. Didn't list him last week, thought he was a mestizo but he appears to be a "White Hispanic".
#22 - Jared Abbrederis (rsSR), Wisconsin - 16 for 271 & 3 TDs. Up 11 spots after a solid 87 yard game.
#23 - Domonic Rufran (JR), Wyoming - 25 for 268 & 4 TDs (his ethnic composition is questionable). Up 13 spots after solid game.
#25T - Michael Campanaro (rsSR), Wake Forest - 21 for 263 & 1 TD. New entry after monster 16 catch / 177 yard game.
#28 - Alex Amidon (SR), Boston College - 20 for 262 & 2 TDs. Down 14 spots after USC held him in check.
#31T - Richard Mullaney (rsSO), Oregon St - 15 for 258 & 2 TDs. New entry (may have missed him) after a monster 142 yard game against Utah.
#48 - Jaxon Shipley (JR), Texas - 19 for 228 & 0 TDS. Up 21 spots after a solid 83 yards again Ole Miss.
#50 - Travis Van Leeuwen (rsSR), Utah St - 13 for 226 & 1 TD. Down 10 spots after quiet game in blowout win.

Including a few extra guys since the Clemson / NC St game has skewed things:
#77 - Max Morrison (rsSO), Cincinatti - 9 for 190 & 2 TDs. New entry who seems like a promising big play threat averaging over 21 yards per catch!
#78 - Chase Cochran (rsJR), Ohio - 12 for 189 & 1 TD. Down 16 spots after an uneventful game against Marshall.

Dropped out:
Chris Humphrey (JR), Kent St - shutdown by LSU
Sean Fitzgerald (rsSR), Utah - only 1 catch in a high scoring game?
Nelson Spruce (rsSO), Colorado - game was postponed
Dan Vitale (SO), Northwestern - slot back
Troy Niklas (JR), Notre Dame - only 1 catch against Purdue

Some pics of the "new entrants":

i know this thread is focused on the FBS receivers, but there's a new name at the FCS level to keep an eye on.

Riddlewire and i (among others) have talked extensively about Eastern Illinois wideout Erik Lora (arguably the best player in the FCS; already has 9 touchdown catches and 607 yards receiving thru 4 games), but he has a teammate at wideout who has seemingly come out of nowhere and exploded.

Adam Drake, a redshirt junior, only had 24 catches for 353 yards in his collegiate career entering this season. in four games this year, he's already surpassed those marks. the big target Drake has become a big play threat, with current totals of 29 catches, 430 yards (a 14.8 yards-per-catch average), and 6 touchdowns.

this duo was uncoverable in their near-upset of Northern Illinois (and the magnificent Jordan Lynch). the D-I affletic defensive backs were able to "cover them" by "only" giving up 14 catches for 198 yards and 3 touchdowns to the "hustling, precise route running," Lora and 8 catches for 137 yards and 2 touchdowns to the "blue collar, over-achieving" Drake.

these are names to remember.

FYI, the best receivers in Div II and Div III are also white.
JR WR Austin Willis of Emporia State leads D2 in receiving yards (548) and receiving yards per game (182.7) and is second in TD catches (6).
JR WR Holton Walker of Hampden-Sydney leads D3 in receiving yards (553), yards per game (184.3), and receptions per game (12.3).

--------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd love to mention yardage averages, but the NCAA has royally screwed up their statistical website this year, leaving out important information and making other data cumbersome to compile.

Post week 5 leaders

Let me first say that there were 3 games Thursday night that skew my leader board a bit, but I shall proceed none the less.

#5 - Jared Abbrederis (rsSR), Wisconsin - 33 for 572 & 4 TDs. Up 16 spot after a monster game against the "top CB in the country". Got the attention of NFL scouts now.
#21 - Michael Campanaro (rsSR), Wake Forest - 32 for 429 & 2 TDs. Up 4 with a decent game against a tough Clemson team.
#25 - Domonic Rufran (JR), Wyoming - 36 catches for 415 yards & 6 TDs (his ethnic composition is questionable). Down 11 spots after a poor game.
#26 - Alex Neutz (rsSR), Buffalo - 27 catches for 414 yards & 4 TDs. Up 4 spots after low reception, high yardage game. Has a TD in each game so far.
#29 - Richard Mullaney (rsSO), Oregon St - 25 for 399 & 2 TDs. Same spot after a so-so game.
#31T - Matt Miller (rsJR), Boise State - 35 for 388 & 2 TDs. Up 22 after a 100+ yard game.
#37T - Jace Amaro (JR), Texas Tech - 29 for 367 & 1 TD. Down 18 spots after a bye week.
#73 - Alex Amidon (SR), Boston College - 27 for 304 & 2 TDs. Down 5 spots. Needs to break out in a big way this week.
#77 - Tanner Gentry (FR), Wyoming - 27 for 297 & 0 TDs. New entry who would have been top 75 if not for my laziness. Was a stud HS player in Colorado but yet his only offers were Wyoming and Air Force. Another case of the Caste System in action.

Dropped out:
Chase Cochran (rsJR), Ohio - 16 for 273 & 1 TD. Bumped by the bye, should jump right back in with a good game.
Jaxon Shipley (JR), Texas - 27 for 288 & 0 TDS. A bye and now poor effort Thursday will keep him out.
Travis Van Leeuwen (rsSR), Utah St - 21 for 287 & 1 TD. Hasn't had a "big game" since week 1. Maybe the last we see him on the list.

big game for BYU's big sophomore wideout Mitch Mathews tonight against Utah State: 5 catches for 112 yards and 3 touchdowns. he simply abused the smaller, affletic corners who vainly tried to slow him down.

i've been (im)patiently waiting for a breakout performance from the physically gifted, 6-foot-6 youngster with the terrific physical tools (HUGE hands and a 37-inch vertical), and tonight was the first time his big-time talent has translated into big numbers on the field.

hopefully this will be the start of a terrific second half of the season, but with erratic-throwing, but dynamic running, Taysom Hill at quarterback for BYU there are no guarantees.

while the below video doesn't show Mathews route running and destruction of the opposing corners of Utah State, it is nice to see him scoring at will.

Post Week 7 Leaders

I missed last week so the risers and fallers will reflect their jump from 2 weeks ago.

on Tuesday the Mackey Watch List (for the nation's top tight end) was updated and narrowed down to 29 players. some things i noticed regarding the players on the list.

- Jace Amaro isn't on it. i guess they consider him a full-time wideout, regardless of how Texas Tech lists him.

- two freshmen made the list. Arkansas' phenom Hunter Henry (who is averaging 19.7 yards-per-catch to lead the nation by a tight end unless i'm mistaken, is second on the team in receiving yardage, and has the longest pass reception on the team) and Oregon's Johnny Mundt (had 15.5 sacks at linebacker as a senior in high school, earning first-team all-state in California, before making the move to exclusively play offense in college).

- Zane Fakes (sr., Ball State) was a record-setting, all-everything running back in high school as well as a state qualifier in the 400-meter relay. pretty impressive speed, considering he's 6-foot-3, 237-pounds.

- Ted Bolser (sr., Indiana) is on the list for the third-straight year. he's already set the Hoosier's record for receiving touchdowns in a career by a tight end, and he leads the team with 5 td catches this season.

- Colorado State has two players on the list, including Crockett Gilmore (sr., 6-foot-6, 255-pounds). he is in only his third season playing tight end, beginning his collegiate career at defensive end and playing d-end and wide receiver in high school. Gilmore was a district champion in the high jump and ran a 4.72 in the 40 when he left the prep ranks.

- Jake McGee (jr., Virginia, 6-foot-6, 250-pounds) was a first-team all-state quarterback AND defensive back (wow!) in high school and was recruited to play quarterback before changing positions. now, he leads the Cavaliers in catches, receiving yardage, and receiving touchdowns.

- Troy Niklas (jr., Notre Dame, 6-foot-6 1/2, 270-pounds) is perhaps the biggest man on the list. he began his career for the Irish as a linebacker, after finishing his high school career as an offensive and defensive lineman. he switched over to tight end before last season and has exploded. he is tied for the team lead with 4 td catches and has a long of 66 yards.

- Rob Branchflower (sr., Massachusetts) is a team captain.

- the Big Ten and Pac Twelve each have 5 players on the list.

- 17 of the 29 nominees are White men.

Anthony Warrum

a name to remember: Anthony Warrum.

Warrum+3.jpg

Warrum is a true freshman wideout for Illinois State and had a BIG day today, totaling 3 catches for 145 yards and 1 touchdown (from 68 yards).

the real story isn't revealed by today's explosive showing, though, as that happens on a routine basis. Warrum averages over 27 yards-per-catch on the year and has 3 touchdowns on just 11 catches. he also has returned 1 punt for a touchdown on just 9 returns. no, his big play potential is a given.

the real story is how a player this talented (he was rated as a 3 star prospect by Rivals and a 2 star by Scout) ended up at lowly Illinois State. in fact, he only had 4 scholarship offers coming out of high school (Eastern Illinois, Indiana State, and Western Illinois were the others), despite shattering virtually every Indiana high school state receiving record.

check out these numbers:
- career receptions (269), touchdown receptions (62) and receiving yards (4,942)
- his career yardage total also ranks ninth all-time nationally
- finished senior season with 90 receptions and set a state single-season record with 26 touchdowns
- amassed 1,813 yards in final season, third most in a single season Indiana history
- hauled in 71 passes for 1,268 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior
- posted 59 catches for 1,233 yards and 14 touchdowns as a sophomore
- was a 3-time all-state performer at wideout
- was also a standout on the basketball court, where he scored over 1,000 career points

in the world of the Caste System, it's easy to see that this guy wasn't "good enough" to receive a single FBS offer. imagine what his numbers in high school would have been if he'd had "talent" or some of "dat upside" we hear so much about ...

North Dakota State junior wide receiver Zach Vraa has improved his 40 time and is making a significant impact.

In-depth scouting report for 2012 second team All-A.C.C. wide receiver/N.F.L. prospect Michael Campanaro. (Compared to Welker LOL)

**On a side note I saw a draft "expert" compare UM WR Jeremy Gallon to a white man in Cole Beasley..

Erik Lora had another big day for Eastern Illinois of the FCS. possibly the best player at any position at the FCS level, Lora finished the game with 12 catches for 119 yards and 3 touchdowns and added an 80-yard punt return for another touchdown.

his White wideout teammates also played well. Adam Drake finished with 5 catches for 58 yards, and Jeff LePak caught 4 balls for 42 yards.

***********************

while i'm writing of the FCS, i should note that the top 3 wide receivers (and 4 of the top 5) in the nation are overachieving, precise route running, deceptively fast, blue collar White kids.

600

Lee Kurfis leads the nation in receiving yards, receiving yards-per-game, and receptions for his Lehigh Mountain Hawks. is he the next Ryan Spadola?

50a1d96798be1.preview-300.jpg

Erik Lora is second in the nation in receiving yards, receiving yards-per-game, and receptions. he's also leading the nation in receiving touchdowns.

Picture-1.png

Grant Gellatly is third in the FCS in receiving yards-per-game and receptions-per-game for the Big Red of Cornell. Gellatly is a former all-everything running back in high school and led all Ivy League rushers as a freshman before changing positions.

ek3ue.AuSt.36.jpeg

Idaho State's Luke Austin is fifth in the nation in receiving yards-per-game and receptions-per-game. you probably already guessed that he began his career as a walk-on.

*********************

a similar tale is revealed when looking at Division II, where seemingly the big-play threats are all Caste-inappropriate.

the most explosive wide receiver at that level is Saginaw Valley State's Jeff Janis. as of this posting, Janis has 1,145 yards and 10 touchdowns on just 57 catches. despite his small number of catches through 8 games, he is second in the nation in receiving yards and receiving yards-per-game.

sophomore Trevor Harman of Shippensburg leads the nation with 14 touchdown catches while also ranking fifth in the nation in receiving yards and receiving yards-per-game.

despite just 46 catches on the season thus far, John Schademen of Slippery Rock averages 22 yards-per-catch in order to rank among the nation's elite in receiving yards (6th), receiving yards-per-game (6th), and receiving touchdowns (4th).

*********************

White cats do the same thing at the D-III level, as well.

Holton Walker leads the nation in receiving yards-per-game for Hampden-Sydney.

Bridgewater St.'s Matt Green leads the nation in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns and is second in receiving yards-per-game. Green received some minor media attention earlier this year, when he caught six passes for 202 yards and a school record five touchdowns in one game.

freshman wideout Jordan Westerkamp had his first 100-yard game in memorable fashion for Nebraska. he caught a hail-Mary touchdown off a deflection with no time left on the clock, as the Cornhuskers escaped a home loss to the injury-decimated Northwestern Wildcats.

Westerkamp finished the game with 4 catches for 104 yards and the pivotal touchdown.

the ever-underrated Alex Neutz had yet another strong outing in virtual obscurity, despite playing on ESPN2 on Tuesday night.

Neutz finished with 4 catches for 79 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Buffalo win, yet nary a word was mentioned about him during today's schedule of broadcast "excellence."

He's another guy with a good blend of size, speed and strength. It looks like he'll get an invite to the combine he could sky rocket like Jordy did. He's got a lot of potential :icon_wink:

This thread is golden. Here's another speedster who slipped through the cracks. "speed kills."

Explosive Muhlenberg College junior Cody Geyer, who reportedly runs a 4.4/40, is dominating D-III opponents.

is there a more explosive receiving corps in college football, at any level, than the one featured by Eastern Illinois of the FCS? i've mentioned their wideouts before, but they don't get nearly enough credit.

NFL prospect, senior quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo powers the passing attack, but he has a quartet of weapons at his disposal that strike fear in opposing secondaries. even without (perhaps the nation's best collegiate receiver) Erik Lora who missed the game vs UT Martin due to injury, Garoppolo's passing totals didn't miss a beat, because Lora's fellow White wideouts Adam Drake and Jeff LePak picked up the slack for their missing comrade.

Drake finished with 14 catches for 225 yards and 3 touchdowns. LePak caught 7 balls for 196 yards and another 3 touchdowns.

Garoppolo threw for 477 yards and 6 touchdowns. the aforementioned overachieving duo accounted for 421 of those yards and all 6 touchdowns. just imagine what they could do if they had talent!

Trevor Morning - D3 speedster

it seems like several of these guys pop up every year … White wideouts with phenomenal speed who "somehow" fell through the cracks.

Wisconsin-Stout's Trevor Morning is the most recent name to emerge in this trend. playing in virtual anonymity on a 4-6 team, Morning still embodies exceptionalism. he's been his team's big-play receiver for the past two seasons.

this season as a senior, he totaled 42 catches for 734 yards (17.4 avg) and 6 touchdowns. last year, he finished with 33 catches for 655 yards (19.8 avg) and 3 touchdowns (on a team that won just 3 games).

Morning burns a helpless db

the following profile piece does a good job of relating his tale:

UW-Stout's Morning ready to show his stuff for NFL scouts
By Jesse O’Brien Leader-Telegram staff

Like many boys who grew up in the long shadow of Lambeau Field, Trevor Morning always dreamt of playing within its confines.

A Bloomer native, Morning would spend hours playing backyard football with his dad and his brother, acting out the roles of Packers greats Robert Brooks and Don Beebe.

“It’s everyone’s dream as a kid,â€￾ Morning said. “I’ve been a football junkie ever since I was four years old, and I always wanted to have the chance to play on the field those guys do, have my family and friends come out and just do what they do out there.â€￾

In less than three months, he’ll finally get his chance.

Following his senior season at UW-Stout, Morning was encouraged to apply to participate in one of the NFL Regional Scouting Combines by his trainer, former UW-Stout running back Ryan Englebert, who owns ETS Gym in Woodbury, Minn.

So the wideout sent in the $245 registration fee along with his college stats, accolades and a short bio, and waited.

A couple of weeks ago, he heard back — he had been registered for the regional combine March 29 in Indianapolis.

“When I got the letter, just that I could get down there to the Indy training facility, I was ecstatic,â€￾ he said. “It’s pretty big time.â€￾

To look at him, Morning isn’t an archetypal NFL prospect — at 5-foot-10, 185 pounds, he’s never been the biggest player on the field.

But that didn’t stop him from becoming UW-Stout’s primary deep threat, averaging 17.5 yards per catch in his three years as a starter.

Precise route running and blazing speed helped Morning consistently get behind his defenders, and coach Clayt Birmingham thinks those are the attributes that are going to attract the NFL scouts in attendance.

“The name of the game at the higher level is speed, and that’s definitely what makes him appealing,â€￾ he said. “But he’s got good strength too. Trevor was just a good athlete, and he’s a high-character kid. So it’ll be interesting to see how he stands out.â€￾

In his senior year, Morning was a team captain and caught 42 passes for a team-high 732 yards and six touchdowns, earning him honorable mention All-WIAC honors.

“I know my speed is going to be my best attribute that hopefully will catch some eyes,â€￾ he said. “With the game becoming more pass heavy, and me not being the biggest guy, I have to concentrate on speed and my hands and running good routes.â€￾

Morning said part of the reason he chose the Indianapolis Combine rather than one hosted in Chicago was to have extra time to fine tune those numbers. When the season finished, he continued to work on trimming seconds of his 40 time, which he estimates being somewhere in the neighborhood of 4.4.

Morning hopes to trim that time down to a high 4.3, but also knows he’ll have to do some dazzling when it comes to catching footballs and running routes.

“Coming from a small-town school and a small place, you’re not going to be looked at very much, so I’ve got to stand out and show what I can do,â€￾ he said. “You’ve got to do some eye-popping things.â€￾

It’s a long shot that Morning will be drafted — of the 254 players taken in the 2013 NFL Draft, only four participated in regional combines — but 29 regional combine participants were on opening day rosters (either on the active roster, practice squad or injured reserve), and 10 made 53-man active rosters.

But it is a shot, and that’s all Morning is asking for.

“All I’m hoping for is a chance,â€￾ he said. “That’s all I need. To have that one chance to show what I can do.â€￾

So many outstanding white receivers that won't get a fair shot in the NFL. It's a shame.

The anti-whites have made headway in the world of football. It's time to start removing them from power.

A start is making white people aware of what's going on.
