Does anyone on here do brackets? if so, how close to perfect have you come? Warren Buffet is offering 1 billion dollars for a perfect bracket, seems almost impossible which is probably why he is offering that much.

SEC Basketball

The SeC is not a conference to watch. I am really tired of seeing good basketball players passed over because they aren't "athletic". It's disgusting.

Especially when I watch a team like Alabama or LsU play. No rhyme or reason for whatever they are doing. It's just go to the hole, make a poor decision, or kick it out to the only kid on the team that can actually shoot.

i will be paying a lot more attention to the teams and athletes mentioned earlier in this thread.

one of my favorite current players is Nik Stauskas, the do-it-all guard for Michigan. below i've posted a video he put online of himself shooting with some of his buddies in the rain. in it, he puts the stop watch on 5 minutes and attempts to make as many 3-pointers as possible (shooting with only one ball).

he makes 70 of 76 3-point attempts, including 46 in a row at one point. all i can say is, "Wow!"

A very entertaining Michigan State - Iowa game right now... along with Iowa's compliment of white guys, Michigan State has been playing 4-5 white guys at different time as well - with 2 of them starting!!

Yea, Michigan State won which I don't really mind as this is the Whitest unit they've had in sometime. Matt Costello and Kenny Kaminski were both espn top 100 recruits 2 years ago. Costello is really starting to settle in after struggling last year. His 11 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks last night was his best game as a Spartan. Kaminski red-shirted last year, which was good, as he now has 4 years with playing time accessible to him. He is a sharpshooter. With Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan and Michigan State all in the top 25, the Big 10 is a great conference to follow.

I caught the 2nd half of the Creighton vs St Johns game on Fox1 last night. Doug McDermott had to do it all, scoring 39 out of Creighton's 63 points. The 39 was a season high. The Blue Jays lead by 18 at one point but let the affletic and hand-eye coordinately deficient Johnnies tie it at the end. Well Doug got open and hit the game winning 3 pointer with 2 seconds remaining. Great finish! Highlights in the link...

some interesting happenings in college basketball over the weekend … including a record-setting performance by the Flam3 Thrower, Travis "Darth" Bader.

MILWAUKEE -- Oakland's Travis Bader set the NCAA Division I record for the most career 3-pointers on Sunday against Milwaukee, surpassing the previous mark of 457 set by Duke's J.J. Redick.

Bader, who entered the game two behind Redick, missed his first 3-point attempt but made his next four. He broke the record with a shot from the right corner with 6:17 left in the first half, pulling Oakland within 29-28.

"I was in rhythm, caught it and shot it in the corner. It went in," Bader said. "I practice those shots all the time. It's just constant repetition and confidence that I'm going to make every shot."

He made his second attempt with 11:45 left in the half despite being fouled, converting the four-point play.

Bader, a 6-foot-5 senior guard, tied the record with a 3-pointer from the right wing with 6:58 left.

Bader scored 18 of his 21 points in the first half, making 5 of 7 3-pointers. He was 1 for 4 beyond the arc in the second half, pushing his career total to 461.

"You've got a guy sitting in the room that's the greatest of all-time at something," said Oakland coach Greg Kampe. "And we're not talking about flipping a tiddlywink or something like that. This game's been played for a long, long time and he's the best ever. And, he's still got seven, eight games left."

i don't think Ryan Spangler has been mentioned on the forums before, but he should've been. the 6-foot-8 sophomore power forward is a rebounding machine for the Oklahoma Sooners. (as an aside, he played at Gonzaga as a freshman before transferring.)

he's currently averaging a double-double for the year, and he's gone for double digits on the glass in 7 of Oklahoma's last 8 contests.

i hear you. in their loss to Syrcause, Duke (zero White starters) started fewer White players than the Boeheim-led Orange (1 - Trevor Cooney) … that's simply awful.

as a former Duke fan (because they no longer play my people), it makes it all the more blissful when the newly-minted all-black Dukies get beat.

a couple of late night match-ups were also appealing. previously-undefeated #1 Arizona fell to California, and the best player on the court for each team was a big White man.

for Cal, the high-flying David Kravish had a double-double (14 points, 11 rebounds) while also blocking a game-high 4 shots and dishing out 4 assists in a stat-stuffing performance for the win.

in the loss, Arizona center Kaleb Tarczewski had a strong outing, scoring a team-high 18 points (with a perfect 12-12 from the free throw line) and corralling 6 rebounds.

BYU has rang up back-to-back wins since losing at Gonzaga, led by the scoring of Tyler Haws. Haws went for a game-high 33 against Saint Mary's on Saturday (10-17 from the floor, 11-12 from the free throw line) while also chipping in with 7 rebounds.

combo guard Kyle Collinsworth added 20 points (6 of 13 from the floor) and a game-high 9 rebounds in the win.

Tyler Haws is on a scoring tear, going for 20 or more in his last 4 games: 48 against Portland, 23 against Gonzaga, 38 against Pacific, and 33 against Saint Mary's. he is currently #3 in the nation in scoring, averaging 24.6 points per game, just behind Doug McDermott of Creighton at #2 (25.0 ppg).

Notre Dame, playing with as many as 4 White athletes on the court at a time, gave undefeated #1 Syracuse all they could handle tonight before falling, 61-55, and if it weren't for Syracuse's lone White player the Irish likely would've pulled the upset.

sophomore guard Trevor Cooney went for a career-high 33 points (11 of 15 from the floor, 9 of 12 from 3-point range), matched a school record by making 9 threes, and had 4 steals, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists as he carried the Orangemen past the Irish.

in a losing effort, guard/forward Pat Connaughton pulled down a game-high 8 rebounds but had a poor shooting night (3-10 from the field). he still finished with 11 points. center Garrick Sherman also pulled down 8 rebounds for Notre Dame and finished with a team-high 16 points (6 of 12 shooting). freshman guard Steve Vasturia, who has been getting a lot of minutes of late since being inserted into the starting lineup, added 13 (5 of 9 from the floor).

It doesn't appear that a racial slur has been used, there's no evidence based on all the witness interviews. Looks like the fan called him a "piece of crap" according to the latest.

Blacks use this lie quite often to justify criminal behavior. From the comments that I saw on various articles and some analysts on ESPN, most of the focus was "what was said", as if that should somehow make Smart's actions OK. Typical DWF behavior and pandering to those who cannot be criticized under any circumstances. This guy Andy Katz on SC was doing his best to defend Smart's character and how he's just frustrated because people are calling him a flopper and he's unhappy with the way the games are being called.

I don't know what this Smart thinks he's entitled to, but his latest series of poor behavior for really simple things goes to show he's weak mentally and combined with a hot temper and low impulse control, is not the sign of someone of high character. But just like Richard Sherman, when a black athlete gets himself in some trouble, the media will immediately shift into damage control mode and get on the defensive.

On a bigger scale, I think we're only a few years away from official laws in the books where any criticism of blacks will be outlawed and considered a hate crime. Right now it's an unwritten rule and people already walk on eggshells, wait until you're faced with the threat of jail

Ron Baker scored 26 pts for #4 Wichita State, now 27-0 after beating Evansville.

Mitchell Ballock class of 2017

We don't have a high school basketball section anymore but out of Kansas at 6'4 175 sleek super high rising athlete Mitchell Ballock is shooting up the 2017 rankings.
With the Dragon coming off a 40 point night for the Suns we NEED MORE exciting athletes who are in the 6-4 to 6-7 range and Ballock fits that profile. Ballock is that rare white athlete scouts identify as a top of the line athlete at such an early stage. We need more and more of this in all the major sports.

Travis Bader, mentioned earlier in this thread by Jimmy Chitwood, tore it up with 39 points and a brilliant draw of a foul in Oakland's win over Youngstown State in Horizon League tournament. This kid is one of the best pure shooters that I've seen. One wonders if he'll get a chance at the next level. Problem is, white kids somehow can't make the "jump" to the NBA. Even if they dominate blacks in college, it somehow doesn't count. Blacks, as soon as their name is called in the draft, suddenly, magically become better, just like that, while the white kids don't get the fairy dust or whatever causes the transformation from "college player" to "NBA player".

March Madness is in full swing as conference tournaments are starting up! One of the best times of the year for hoops fans!

Some performances from yesterday:

In the America East Quarter-Finals, Vermont guard Brian Volkel had a triple-double in the Catamounts' win over New Hampshire, with 14 rebounds, 10 points, and 10 assists.

Doug McDermott had a fitting end to his regular season college career last night at home. He had a career high 45 points, (going over 3,000 career points in the process) as Creighton demolished the Friars 88-73!

Nik Stauskas continued his Big 10 player of the year campaign with 21 points in the Wolverine's win over Indiana.

BYU got great games from Kyle Collinsworth and Tyler Haws in their quarter-final win over LMU, with Collinsworth leading the team with 23 points and 16 rebounds! Haws kept pace with the scoring, netting 22 points to go with 6 rebounds. A BYU-Gonzaga WCC final would be awesome!!

Though they may not be going to the Tourney, Butler's Kellen Dunham shot lights out yesterday, going 11-14 (7-7 from 3) for 29 points in the Bulldogs' blowout win against Seton Hall!!

On to today:

It's been a pretty good game between Mercer and FGCU today. It looks like Mercer's going to take down Dunk City and make it to the Tournament. Both teams I believe have 3 white starters and have been using 2-3 whites the whole game.
