i had the chance to watch "my" in-state Arkansas Razorbacks (or should it be RazorBlacks?) play today against the Cal Golden Bears in the Maui Invitational. why would this be an interesting game from a Caste perspective? well, i'm glad you asked!
the relevant storyline concerns two Cal players, who are both from the state of Missouri, and Arkansas head coach Mike Anderson, who coached at the University of Missouri when the two White kids were in high school.
Ricky Kreklow, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard who was Mr. Show-Me Basketball in Missouri as a senior, is the ONLY White player (that i'm aware of) who has ever been offered a scholarship to play basketball by Mike Anderson since Anderson has become a collegiate head coach (if you'll recall, he was a long-time assistant to outspoken racist coach Nolan Richardson). despite that distinction, and his uncanny ability to knock down shots, Kreklow barely managed to see the court under Anderson's regime and transferred to Cal.
David Kravish, a high-flying, athletic 6-foot-9 forward from Lee's Summit, MO, is one of the better shot blockers and rebounders in the country. despite this, he wasn't even recruited at all by Anderson and ended up way out in California. "weird," huh? one wonders what quality an athletic leaper who shines on the defensive end of the floor and can really run could lack in order to not be noticed by the in-state coaching staff who favors a fast-paced, defensive-minded philosophy … well, you'd wonder if you didn't know anything about Anderson, that is. if you do, the quality that Kravish lacks is quite obvious.
i would guess that tonight's result really eats into what passes for a soul within the black shell that is Anderson's body, because the two White kids who weren't good enough to play for him WERE good enough to beat his ass.
David Kravish is clearly rayciss, as he is seen here clearly holding anotha brotha down
Kravish finished with a team-high 19 points (on 8-12 shooting, including a few highlight caliber dunks), game-highs of 19 rebounds and 3 blocked shots, and chipped in 1 assist and 1 steal with ZERO turnovers in 35 minutes to lead Cal past the Razorblacks.
Kreklow finished second on the team with 17 points (on 3-7 shooting and 8-10 from the free throw line), while adding 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and some clutch ball handling against the Arkansas press.
if you think that their performance will change the afrocentric mindset of Anderson, you'd be wrong. he currently only has one non-black on the entire roster:
Kikko Haydar, whose parents are professors at the UofA and are from Lebanon. it just so happens that Haydar, a former walk-on, is also the best shooter on the team. and academically he is in a league all his own, at least compared to his negro teammates. Haydar is only the third Arkansas athlete to earn a Bodenhamer Fellowship. competition for the prestigious award is intense, as students must score 32 on the ACT or 1400 on the SAT and have a 3.8 high school grade point average just to be eligible to apply.
of course, Haydar's minutes are sparse under Anderson's "leadership." and i bet the future doctor feels right at home in the ghetto, er, locker room with his barely literate teammates. also, all of the current scholarship offers by Anderson's staff are to black players. so clearly, the situation isn't likely to change.
i wish him and the Razorblacks the worst this season.
