It's back to track time on Friday. This meet has some really big names in it. Rytis Sakalauskas is in the national 100 race along with Spearmon. Adam Gemeli is in the main 100 meters race and he just might have the competition to pull him closer to a sub 10! Hopefully we can find a link to watch this meet. I wish Christophe had entered it as well.

Shubenkov ran a time of 13.13 today to finish 2nd to only the p.e.d. man David Oliver. I still don't know what happened in his semi final heat as he ran a time in the mid to high 13 second range. This russian hurdler is world class with out a doubt. With him, the two english hurdlers and some others, the future of the 110 hurdles is looking very bright! The exciting thing is that the 2013 World Championships in being held in Russia! What better spot for Shubenkov to make history!

Sergey Shubenkov ran 13.09 in Austria today.
I think that ties his NR set earlier this year.
I would really love to see this guy go sub 13.00.

There is a good meet in England tommorow. No mens 100 meters but there are still alot of good events to see. Gemeli will go for a new p.b. in the 200 against a strong field, Ukhov and Gabraz in the high jump, Rutherford and Watt in the long jump, and Borlee over the 400 meters. Hope to see some fast times.

Christophe ran a 10.07 today and Gemeli ran a 10.15 in the B race.

I just want to vent about the yamaicans. At Zurich today, it was like a Jamaican National Track Meet. Everywhere you looked they were winning in the sprints. In the mens 200, they swept the top 4 spots with Bolt on top. They run sub 20's like a job in the park. Then you have Blake running times like he is Bolt Jr. The women are no different. On top of that, most of the sprinters from around the world are slowing down alot now because they are way past their peak. Not the Yamaicans. Damn it's all about the Yams!!

Wake up IAAF. Wake up WADA. Come on drug testing agencies. CATCH THESE PEOPLE!

agree Wl. but unfortunately the iaaf corporate buddies will not allow cheats to be outed ,it would totally bring iaaf in question , but we know that ..recently posted on other athletics sites .. but people are dellusional and afraid of the truth ...at least a book like the "dirtiest race in history" is putting the yamaicans/black yanks in focus.....also look how blakes upper body has exploded in the last 18 months...lots of critics avoiding this obvious "improvement" but hey as long as there is caste football ,,ignorance can be fought against ....especially among the white middle classes... i think the black population understand exactly whats going on...i myself continue to educate the ignorant or those afraid of facts.....:amen:
