If this story about the Jaguars under new owner Shahid Khan is to be taken seriously, then they will be whitening up in a big hurry. I guess it's time to bring back Matt Jones, also.

NFL Team's 'Marriage Test' For Free Agents
One NFL team really believes the saying that behind every successful man is a great woman.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have decided to employ a new strategy when it comes to evaluating free agents. Forget the bad boys. Above all else they want players with outstanding wives
.Free agent QB Chad Henne was accompanied by his wife, Brittany, on a free agent visit to the largest city by area in the contiguous United States. The Henne's have been together since junior high school. In a comment that figures to draw sarcastic reaction on social media, Brittany tells the Wall Street Journal she helps her husband study his playbook
and memorize QB hand signals.Kat Robinson and Brittany Henne were each given special tours of the team's facility, as well as a few special perks. The ladies visited the beach and grabbed lunch with Mularkey's wife, Betsy. In addition, the Jags hooked the women up with massages at the hotel.
All things considered, having a wonderful wife has never been so profitable. Jacksonville rewarded Henne with $7 million for the next two years. Robinson picked up even more, grabbing a $32 million contract for five years.
Mike Mularkey, the Jaguars' new head coach, stressed free agents that have a good family life would become a priority. "If you're happy at home with your wife at home, I think the energy level is higher," Mularkey told the Wall Street Journal. "It's very important to me ... There's a lot that goes with being married. I just believe the happier you are with your wife, the happier you are on the field. I really believe that."
Executives in the Jaguars' front office believe good football players have happy and healthy marriages.
Shahid Khan, the Jaguars' brand new owner, took the concept he'd used to make his riches in the auto-parts business. Khan said he attempts to meet all of the spouses of his employees, even going as far as to take the significant others on company retreats.
The Wall Street Journal reports GM Gene Smith, in a way, took the concept from college recruiting. On the NCAA level, parents are always involved with top recruits, and now the Jags have substituted wives for parents.

Receiver Laurent Robinson was traveling around the NFL last month when he was stunned to find out the Jaguars wanted his wife to come with him on the visit. "I never planned to go," Robinson's wife, Kat, told the Wall Street Journal. "They asked him to bring me. We've been in the league five years; I never knew of anything like that. They said, 'We want your wife to come.'"… "He doesn't go out, we're homebodies, we're both in bed early at night and live a simple life.

He even helps out around the house; he does the dishes."

[h=1]With the amount of D-ends drafted high in the last two years, I think this is probably the end for Kampan.

Aaron Kampman released by Jaguars[/h]
The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Thursday that they have released veteran defensive end Aaron Kampman.

Kampman began his career in Green Bay, and he recorded 458 tackles, 54 sacks and forced 12 forced fumbles in eight seasons with the Packers. He had 27.5 sacks over the course of back-to-back Pro Bowl campaigns in 2006 and 2007, including an NFC-best 15.5 sacks in 2006.

It looks like Russell Allen will be starting for at least the start of the season as linebacker as Clint Session will be out for awhile. Yet another white undrafted player makes it through to actually start for a team.

Andre Branch was the Jags' second round pick this year, the DE hyped by the media as the most "NFL ready," and was given an immediate starting job but has been a big-time bust in his rookie season. Jacksonville has wasted numerous first and second round picks in recent years selecting black DTs and DEs from the SEC, and they've all been busts. That's quite a pattern of failure, but one the media will never pick up on. Articles and shows about the biggest draft busts will continue to focus on a few perpetually infamous Whites picked in the 1990s rather than the continuing epidemic of blacks picked way too high year after year.

Hint for fantasy footballers: When the corporate media hype a black player as "NFL ready," stay the hell away from him. Branch joins Brian Robiskie and Aaron Curry as recent "can't miss," "NFL ready" busts.

The Jaguars have demoted DE Andre Branch out of the starting lineup. Branch, a second-round rookie out of Clemson, had six tackles and no sacks in the first five weeks. He'll now play behind Austen Lane, a former fifth-round pick that has two sacks in 19 career games. The 1-4 Jags are grasping at straws as they come out of the bye.

Good points Don. Not only did they waste all those high picks on SEC bums but they took Pacific Islander DT from Cal, Tyson Alualu, 10th overall in 2010. In fairness, the draft experts called him a reach. So far, in 2 and a half starting seasons he's only managed 7 sacks, 1 forced fumble and 2 passes defensed. His tackling numbers are ok for a DT but he's hardly any force against the run as evidence of Jacksonville's always poor run defense. Compared to his darker hued teammates, he looks like a star but I'd rather see how he stacks up against an unheralded White athlete, Karl Klug.

Klug was drafted in the 5th round and is basically the same build as Aluala albeit a bit lighter. Last season, Klug played as a rotational player, never starting and never seeing the amount of snaps as Aluala has. His production: 7 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 4 passes defensed. Remember this is one season of limited snaps versus 2.5 seasons starting. Aluala continues to start of course but Klug this season has inexplicably seen his playing time decreased to virtually nothing. This is the life of a White footballer in the Caste NFL. :frusty:

I was just scanning Weenieworld and there's the usual negative blurbs about White players, but this one really sticks out. Even when White players are breaking records, they still suck:

Paul Posluszny set the Jaguars unofficial franchise record for tackles (231), breaking Hardy Nickerson's 2001 record of 230. The Jacksonville coaching staff was liberal in their tackle count, also awarding WLB Russell Allen (201) the third-highest total in franchise history. The Florida Times-Union suggests there may have been some "fuzzy math" on Posluszny's total, as he broke Nickerson's record by one tackle. Posluszny graded out near the bottom of Pro Football Focus' ratings for 2012.

How are those tackle totals from? NFL.com and pro-football-reference.com list Paul Posluszny's tackle total as 106 and Russell Allen's tackle total as 107/105.

They're combining solo and assisted tackles. I don't think there's a single official source for tackle numbers, as different sources have different numbers for players. Also, the home team is responsible for recording tackles and assisted tackles during each game and there are large variances in how that's done. Some official scorers are very generous in giving assisted tackles while others are very stingy. It's hard to believe the NFL can lack such uniformity and consistency when it comes to such an important statistic, but it does.

Lets hope for the Jaguars sake that he is simply a 'Rooney Rule' interview and nothing more. Jacksonville has gotten quite a bit whiter since Shack Harris left. Lets hope that trend continues.
