The Paul Johnson led Jackets return from a 8-5 season ended with a Sun Bowl loss to Utah. Their option, run-happy offense is more suited for the black quarterback (at least according to the caste ma$ters). On offense, Whites starters are RB Zach Laskey, T Ray Beno, OG Will Jackson (pre-season All ACC), T Morgan Bailey & C Jay Finch.

The "BlackJackets" defensive starters are nearly coal black :angry:. However, LBs Tyler Marcordes & Daniel Drummond and Safety Corey Dennis may get some decent reps. Special teamers include PK Justin Moore, Punter Sean Poole and LS Tyler Morgan.

That is a significant drop from last season and below average for GT since we've been tracking them. Since '05, the Ramblin' Wreck has started 6, 6, 7, 5, 6, 3 and 7 Whites. This team used to be a lot Whiter and they had better looking uniforms too. They *were* a much more fun team to watch back then.

Just a small update for Georgia Tech. Their latest depth chart on Rivals I saw has Daniel Drummond as a starter at an ILB spot.

Also, BB Zach Laskey is 3rd on the depth chart at B-Back, Georgia Tech's primary ball carrying position. Laskey will also be the Yellow Jacket's Punt Returner (Phil Steele has him as a 3rd team All-ACC there.)

In the BlackJack(et)s loss to VaTech, RB Zach Laskey had 7 carries for 28 yards. Only two White defense players drew any stats...DB Coray Carlson w/ 2 tackles and LB Nick Menocal w/ one tackle. :thumbdown:
 
I cannot recall the last time GT didn't have a black quarterback. Even their backups are black quarterbacks.
 
During the "BlackJackets" win against Presbyterian yesterday, RB Zach Laskey lead in rushing w/ 116 yards a 1 TD. :D

On defense, LBs Daniel Drummond, Nick Menocal and Kyle Travis had a tackle each in limited action/reps. :mad:
