After an semi-impressive 7-6 first year in 2008 with former Buffalo Bills coordinator Steve Fairchild at the helm, the Rams were relegated to the cellar of the MWC compiling 3 straight 3-9 seasons in additional to major darkening of the team. CSU had started 15, 16, 17, 15, 14 and 13 whites since 2005 but only started 10 last year!

As a result, Fairchild was fired and new AD Jack Graham promised a Bold New Era of Rams football with the hiring of high profile OC of the national championship Crimson Tide, Jim McElwain. Things got off to a rocky start for McElwain as 3 players (2 black, 1 white) were involved in an off campus fight and removed from the team during April (and later expelled from school as a police investigation later found heroine and steroids in the players apartment).

The Rams are traditionally one of the more white friendly teams in college football (although this status diminished with Fairchild as HC). Let us hope and pray that this Bold New Era that Jack Graham has envisioned for Rams Football does not turn into a Black New Era in a hurry thanks to the hire of a former SEC coordinator entrenched into the paradigm of recruiting "superior black affletes"

****

They should have 12 white starters to start the season

Offense
QB Garrett Grayson
H-Back Jake Levin (when they use one)
TE Crockett Gilmore
SG Jordan Gragert
C Weston Richburg
WT Joe Caprioglio
RT Jared Biard

Defense
DE John Froland
DT Zach Tiegen
ILB James Skelton
FS Austin Gray
DT Alex Tucci

Claimjumper, I'm looking forward to this team preview. The Rams used to be a fair team for Whites to be on. I hope they return to being that again soon.

A couple of weeks back there were also a couple of black players charged with misdemeanor sexual assault. They entered some female's dorm room while she was asleep and did who-knows-what to earn that charge.

I read quite a few angry comments on the Denver Post about this, one female alumnus saying she would no longer donate to her former alma mater and made a negative reference to the "SEC'ing" of the Rams "with their new SEC coach." It's the AD that's causing all of this.

So far, CSU has signed five White players for their 2013 class, although that will probably darken quite a bit later on as they continue on with their "Bold New Era" paradigm.

It'll be interesting to see how hard CU and CSU go after in-state phenom, Christian McCaffrey, for the class of 2014, who's even a better prospect/athlete than his 3-star rated brother who signed with Duke this year to play WR.

I had forgotten about that. From what I heard ( I have some friends in the sororities on campus) they broke in to one of the sororities and tried to flirt with (and probably eventually muh dik) the girls to no avail. Sadly the girls in the sorority did not want to report the incident so it took awhile for it to get out

As an aside, two years ago one of my friends that went to CU had her house broken into by a couple black football players

Updated 8/2/2012 to include the depth chart

Many thanks go out to Colonel_Reb for finding and compiling the initial depth chart. It was no where to be found (at least that I could find) on the internet yet.

There might be one more white starter for Colorado State... CFN says DE Joe Kawulok will be starting at the other end position. I'm not sure where Colonel got his depth chart from, but I have also heard too that Kawulok or Zach Tiegden will start at the other end spot. So that would bump them up to 14!!

The depth chart is from Phil Steele, Jack. According to him, Kawulok and Tiedgen are 2nd and 3rd on the depth chart at one of the DE spots. That would be great news if Kawulok ends up starting though! CSU should have some more definitive info up within the next three weeks and we can find out for sure where everyone lines up.

There is a tremendous walk-on / transfer making heads turn at fall camp at CSU. Corner back , CJ Glenn of Windsor Colorado is pushing for playing time early and often. He is a transfer from Northern Colorado and his high school times have him in the 4.4 range with a 38 inch vertical jump.

they finally put up a media guide, so these should be there projected starters for tomorrow against CU

They had a few small tweaks, losing a starter on offense, but gaining on defense but the number remains at 12, which, is low for a CSU squad
