Having used the 19th pick on Shea McClellin, shocking many people, expectations will be very high. Even though the Bears' have a good d-line, which could mask some of Shea's inexperience/rawness as a linebacker, the fans will have to be patient. However, will they be?

Jay Cutler's Bears' are a team that I watch whenever I can, so Shea being a member of the Bears now is indeed interesting.

The Bears should probably start Urlacher, McClellin, Conte, and Steltz. I would not be surprised if they drafted Tank Carder if he's available in round 3, he reminds me of Urlacher in a way and they don't have anyone besides Urlacher and Briggs.

On offense they should start Cutler, Carimi, Clutts, maybe another OLman, and possibly Sanzenbacher in a copy-cat Welker role.

If so, they could be a team to root for in most cases.

Nice to see the Bears draft Shea McClellin first. I'm shocked that they picked up Brandon Hardin, and I hope they don't refuse to start him like they have with Craig Steltz. Chicago would be a much improved team if they just let some of their Whites play instead of being a poster organization of caste system football.

Here's an article about the drafting of Shea McClellin. It is complimentary while at the same time has the requisite caste speak which shows that Phil Emery is a certified caste-o-holic, as nearly everyone in the NFL is.

I'd still really like to know what kind of motors they are talking about. Emery says McClellin is relentless with his motor. The way they put it makes me wonder if he isn't talking about some dude with a bad-axe chain saw or just a man whose driving habits are really hard on his car's engine.

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Chicago Bears selected Boise State defensive end/outside linebacker Shea McClellin with the No. 19 overall pick of the NFL draft.
[+] Enlarge James Lang/US PresswireBoise State's Shea McClellin was the third defensive end taken in the first round of the draft.

McClellin recorded 20.5 sacks and 33 tackles for a loss during his four-year career with the Broncos.
Although McClellin lined up primarily at strong side linebacker at the Senior Bowl, Bears general manager Phil Emery said Thursday night the Bears will use McClellin at left defensive end.
"He showed us some natural pass-rushing ability the other defensive ends [still left on the board] did not," Emery said. "Shea is a high-level player. He's relentless with his motor."

The chance to join an organization with an illustrious history, such as the Bears, appealed to McClellin.
"I was definitely excited and happy to be part of a great organization," McClellin said in a conference call with Chicago media on Thursday night. "I really can't wait.
"It's awesome, unbelievable almost. Just to play alongside guys like Julius Peppers and Brian Urlacher, it's really going to great, and I can't wait to get out there."
Emery was impressed by McCLellin's versatility.

"He's got really quick feet and hands as a pass-rusher," Emery said. "He has natural hips as a pass-rusher. In his normal starting role at Boise was as a middle linebacker, and he would come down and rush on third downs or in sub-package situations. There is a lot of versatility with this player.

"If there is one area that stands out for me as an evaluator and evaluating Shea ... it's that we all came away from looking at him (believing) he has a high-level of football instincts. This is a very natural player."

Emery said the Bears sent defensive line coach Mike Phair to put McClellin through a private workout during the pre-draft process.

"I thought I might have a chance to go to Chicago and I just ended up there," McClellin said. "My private workout went great. I thought I did good and that the defensive line coach, coach Phair liked me. I thought they liked me and that I had a shot. They ended up picking me, which is great."
With a void opposite Peppers, the Bears will be counting on McClellin to deliver as a rookie. He says he's up for that challenge.
"I think I can (produce right away)," McClellin said. "That's why they picked me up. I think they believe in me and I think I'll get after the quarterback. I think I'll be able to make an impact."

Maybe Clay Matthews, Connor Barwin, Brooks Reed, and Ryan Kerrigan paved the way for McClellan to be drafted earlier than expected. Whites have made a niche in recent years as slot receivers and as OLBs who are pass rushing specialists. We might also have 5 White receivers starting outside this season if things break right, which would be the most in decades. Derrick Wolfe and hopefully Jared Crick will succeed at tackle or maybe end in Crick's case, following J. J. Watt's monster rookie year last season. A high rate of White success year after year contrasted to a high rate of black failures is helping the cause, albeit very slowly.

left defensive end is probably the worst spot to put him, he is 255-260 pounds. They would be better off putting Julius Peppers over there and him as the RDE, Peppers is close to 290, left tackles tend to have less strength (plenty of sumos at this spot) so it would be better for him to be going against them instead of a RT. I hope he doesn't end up like Connor Barwin who didn't fit until the Texans switched to the 3-4. Rob Ninkovich wasn't the best fit as a 4-3 end either but has been doing well with the Pats lined up in a variety of spots.

now imagine this, if Conte plays as well as he did down the stretch and Hardin goes to SS, Lovie's Bears may have 2 starting white safeties! :

Brandon Hardin - DB - Bears

The Bears reportedly projected third-round S Brandon Hardin as a starter "in the near future."

Young FS Chris Conte and SS Major Wright have shown promise, but Hardin wasn't drafted to play special teams. A former college cornerback, Hardin goes 6-foot-3, 222 and is being projected internally as a free safety. Look for Conte and Wright to start this season, and Hardin to push for a first-team role in 2013.

That is some bad news. The knock on Hardin was his injury history though - either way its one less white DB to support this year.

Besides Hardin going to IR, the Bears released Matt Blanchard (QB) and Nick Pieschel (G). I guess that's not too terrible, 9 blacks/polys cut, 2 whites cut, 1 white placed on IR.

With an 8-5 record the Bears are in the running for a playoff spot. If they do make the playoffs they'll be eliminated early.

Lovie Smith is a bad game day head coach. His coaching has cost the Bears many victories.

Smith is a drag on the team. Having him as the head coach is like racing a speedboat with the anchor down.

The Bears will never win a super bowl with Smith as the head coach but it looks like he'll be holding back the team forever due to black privilege.

Could be the end for Dane in the NFL. . .

Bears waived WR Dane Sanzenbacher. Sanzenbacher would've had a better chance this year if the Bears had retained Mike Martz, whose offense heavily utilized a slot receiver. Instead, the Bears went with Mike Tice and Sanzenbacher managed to appear in just four games, securing one pass for seven yards. He had 27 grabs as a rookie in 2011.

Plenty of NFL teams could use a sure handed slot receiver. Who also posseses "under the radar" speed. Off the top of my head Jacksonville, Minnesota, Arizona, Cleveland, Tennessee, and Oakland all have horrid receiving corps.

You forgot the NY Jets, probably the worst group of all.

If the Browns had any sense they'd grab Sanzenbacher. The Browns need help at receiver.

Sanzenbacher showed promise in his first NFL season. Sanzenbacher played college ball in Ohio and would be popular with the fans too.

What complete BS. They had to find a scapegoat for their recent loses, so they waive Dane with one game left? Minnesota has Percy Harvin in the slot, but rumors are he might be gone next year. Jacksonville has Shipley, who probably has secured his spot for next year. Not sure about Cleveland, is Cooper playing in the slot? The Titans had been playing Mariani. The only teams I can see giving him a chance are Detroit or Carolina.

Sanzenbacher was picked up by the Bengals, which should prove to be a terrible team for him. Shipley royally screwed, Whalen not used, Brian Leonard way underused. Then there's all the White safeties they've had on the roster in the last half dozen years or so, none of whom ever started or even lasted longer than a season or two before being sent on their way.

Dane needs to stay in the best shape possible and hope he eventually gets an opportunity somewhere.

Another example of a white skill player ending up on a super black team. A team like Minnesota could use a player like Dane.

Yes he is essentially auditioning for other teams or to be invited back in 2013 as a 6th receiver who can work his way up the roster.
