Rams continue to add to what was the Whitest defense in the league last year along with Cleveland:

Rams signed DT Justin Bannan to a three-year contract. The Denver Post's Mike Klis reports former Broncos HC and current Rams OC Josh McDaniels played a part in luring Bannan to St. Louis. Bannan should be given a chance to start on the inside after tallying 35 tackles, one sack and forced fumble for Denver a season ago. Though Bannan is 32 years old, he remains a quality run stuffer and adds needed size at 6-foot-3, 310.

The Rams best receiver is again compared to Wes Welker by Weenieworld.

Danny Amendola was the starting slot receiver in Sunday's Rams scrimmage.

Amendola racked up eight catches for 70 yards with a touchdown. Now playing the Wes Welker role in Josh McDaniels' offense, Amendola has major PPR upside. Even without McDaniels last year, Amendola averaged 5.3 catches per game.

Amendola is actually the one guy who could reasonably compared to Welker. Similar size and quickness; both went to Texas Tech; both excelled in kick and punt returns as well as receiver; both had to fight the caste system; and now both under a Josh McDaniels system. Truly a poor man's Wes Welker. (Although there have been plenty of similar size and skill set black players who never get compared to Welker or vice versa.)

Anybody that bothered to watch Rams games late last season knew that Amendola was the guy who made the offense go. The Seahawks certainly figured it out, their strategy in the season finale last year was taking Amendola out of the offense by double and triple-covering him on every snap. For some reason however, the supa affletic outside receivers still couldn't get open with mostly man-to-man coverage.

It's being reported that the Rams are adding yet another white player to their defense, Ben Leber. I think they are getting precariously close to breaking some sort of caste law that will cause the dispersal of the team.

Bartell says he's out for the season: Rams DB Ron Bartell, who suffered a fractured bone in his lower neck, confirmed to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that he is out for the season. "My goal is to play again," Bartell said. "I'm fully prepared to play again. I'm approaching it as such that I will play again. There's absolutely no way I could come back and play this year. It takes time just for the bone to heal." Justin King is now expected to move into the starting lineup to replace Bartell.

Ah You needs wrist surgery: DE C.J. Ah You, who drove away from Rams Park on Monday with his left wrist in a brace, will need surgery to have pins inserted and will miss at least one game. Ah You’s injury means rookie DE Robert Quinn will likely see his first playing time on Monday.

well, at least we found out that Salas is indeed being treated as a white player (regardless of his possible mixed heritage, he looks pretty white to me)

he was inactive yesterday after not playing well in his first NFL start (replacing injured Amendola), had he been black, plenty of excuses would have been made for him.

Fantasy Analysis

Kendricks has been a highly-disappointing player in 2011 after he looked great in the preseason. He was struggling even before QB Sam Bradford got hurt, so we have no excuses for Kendricks' poor play. He has minimal Fantasy appeal when healthy, so look to healthier alternatives for Week 10.

He was a 2nd round pick, a player that was supposed to stretch the field (at TE) because he's lighter. We learn that his hands aren't so good..

The Rams are quietly approaching Houston Texans levels of white players, reaching four whites on O-line tomorrow due to injuries and Tony Wragge taking over at center. If Amendola hadn't gotten injured this would really be a team to root for. As it is I'm pulling for them to finish the year strong, so that there isn't a huge housecleaning next year. I believe they will be around 11-12 white starters tomorrow.

Laurinaitis was held out of practice, but they expect him to go on Sunday: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/563624/james-laurinaitis

Laurinaitis held out as precaution: An MRI revealed no serious damage to Rams LB James Laurinaitis' injured foot, but he was still held out of practice Wednesday in prep for Week 12 against the Cardinals. "It's still bothering him a little bit and we just didn't want to overdo it today and have him not be full on Sunday," Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said. "The hope is to have him as healthy as possible."

Fantasy Analysis

Laurinaitis needs just 16 more tackles for his third straight season of 100-plus tackles. He continues to be a standout playmaker and high-end Fantasy LB, so continue to track his progress.

Now that Jacob Bell, sumo guard, is on IR, we may once again be looking at four whites on O-line for the Rams. Its amazing how fast these O lines can flip around racially because its really a "battleground" area with lots of whites and blacks out there competing for spots.
