Here's a nice article on Chris Prosinski, other than the part where it's a given that he'll have to serve a racial apprenticeship as a WSTD before he can play regularly as a safety. Every season there are blacks who start as rookies at safety, but Whites can't. Must be that huge IQ deficit Whites have in comparison to blacks.
smiley29.gif
Eric Weddle didn't become a full-time starter until his second season. Even John Lynchwasn't allowed tostart until his third season. Jacksonville's safeties have been horrible so hopefully Prosinski's apprenticeship will be shortened out of necessity.

<H1 id=article_line>"He's got all the tools"Â </H1>
<H2 id=article_sub>Prosinski led the way at Wyoming </H2>

Dave Christensen wishes it had lasted longer.

When he thinks about Chris Prosinksi, Christensen â€" now entering his third season as the University of Wyoming football coach -- said that was the overriding emotion as the senior safety prepared to leave for the NFL.

Christensen coached Prosinski two seasons, 2009 and 2010.

And as he sees it, that wasn't long enough.

"I wish I'd had four years with him,"Â Christensen said of Prosinski, who the Jaguars selected this past weekend with a fourth-round selection in the 2011 NFL Draft, the 121st

selection overall. "He continues to get better every year."Â

Prosinski (6-feet-1, 201 pounds), who played at Buffalo (Wyoming) High School, started 37 of 49 games for the Cowboys, finishing his career as the school's fourth all-time leading tackler.

"Obviously the fans thought the world of him, as our coaching staff did,"Â Christensen said.

He finished with 373 tackles, five interceptions and 21 pass breakups, and Jaguars General Manager Gene Smith said he has "legitimate range for a safety."Â While Smith said he perhaps is more of a free safety, he also said he can play either position.

Christensen said when it comes to describing Prosinski on the field, it's relatively simple.

"He's a hitter,"Â Christensen said. "He played safety, so he'll come up and try to put the hit on you. He's very athletic and very explosive. He's a guy who is probably going to take some time to learn how to play safety at that level. He'll probably come in and contribute right away on special teams and give great effort on that.

"He'll develop into a player."Â

Prosinski, who is expected to contribute quickly on special teams, ran a 4.4-second 40-yard dash, and Jaguars Director Player Personnel Terry McDonough said he has the ideal height, weight, and speed for the position.

"On tape he likes to come down to the alley and fill,"Â McDonough said. "He'll look the part when he gets out here. He'll learn it, he can run and we like productive guys that are smart and tough that can run and like football. We're trying to building a team full of those guys. "

Christensen said it was what Prosinski did before his junior season â€" and in preparation for it, actually â€" that he will remember.

Christensen took over for Joe Glenn, who had recruited Prosinski.

"He was an established player when I got there, and he just continued to work hard,"Â Christensen said. "He was one of the players I inherited that was a returning starter. He really bought into what we were trying to do, changing the culture.

"He was a soldier of the program."Â

Christensen said such a transition can be difficult, particularly when it comes to upperclassmen accepting a new coaching staff. There were no such issues with Prosinski, Christensen said.

"He never was an issue in any way whatsoever,"Â Christensen said. "He was 100 percent in the entire time he was there. It's difficult. The guy who had recruited him had lost his job, and I was brought in. He never faltered. He was always 100 percent and just did a tremendous job of being one of the hardest workers on the football team."Â

Christensen said it was clear from physical tests that Prosinski had the measurables to have a chance to play in the NFL.

"It was a matter of putting it on video and having a chance for NFL scouts to see it,"Â Christensen said.

He did so, and this winter and spring while preparing for the NFL Draft, Christensen saidProsinski approached it with diligence and dedication.

"He changed his body drastically from the time our season ended until the draft,"Â Christensen said. "He went away and trained and came back a different guy. He wasn't bad before that, but he was chiseled. He had to be low single-digit body fat when he came back for his Pro Day.

"He looked like a million bucks and performed like a million bucks. He put out some really good test results, and some really good numbers. That's where his stock really started to climb."Â

Prosinski, who Christensen termed a quiet leader, spent his senior season as the Cowboys' captain, a role many Jaguars rookie played in college. Christensen said that wasn't surprising from a player who contributed to the program in far more ways than just on the field.

"He certainly led by example," Christensen said. "He's got all the tools, all the intangibles. He's going to be successful in whatever he does. He's going to play football for ‘X' amount of years, but he's going to be successful after that.

"He was a great guy in the community. All of the things a coach looks for in a player he possesses. I'd take him for five more years."Â

Yet another episodein the long-running smash hit series, Highly Drafted Black Busts: Jacksonville moved up in the '08 draft to take Derrick Harvey 8th overall. He's responded with the grand total of 8 sacks and88 tackles in 3 seasons, including a sterling 12 tackles for all of 2010. From Weenieworld:

Jaguars GM Gene Smith reiterated his disappointment in former No. 8 overall pick Derrick Harvey. "You hope at some point he's going to be able to make a move," said Smith. "He did not make that last year during the season. We had some guys earn the opportunity to play over him." The Jags traded up to select Harvey in 2008, giving Baltimore the No. 26 pick, two third-rounders, and a fourth-round pick in 2008. Not to mention a five-year, $23.8 million contract, 72 percent of which was guaranteed. The Ravens used No. 26 to trade back up for Joe Flacco. Edited by: Don Wassall

Sometimes when I look back at past drafts on Sports Illustrated or USA today I'm simply amazed. A lot of these blacks that get drafted in the earlier rounds are out of the league within a season or two or have been so unproductive I have never even heard their names.

I can't blame these affletes though. Of course they are going to take the biggest payday they can get. It's totally the owners faults for giving enormous salaries to these thugs who usually quit on the team immediately after signing a contract. With the tremendous amount of blacks busts and tons of character issues one would think the owners would be a little wiser.Edited by: whiteathlete33

I'm wondering if any black QBs have the "eye of the tiger" in them. Laziness, although never put in that blunt a way, is a recurring lament heard from "club officials" about black quarterbacks. Josh Freeman perhaps? The jury is still out on him. I want to see if Tampa repeats its success from last year first. They had a lot of luck, including an easy schedule, I still don't see them as a perennial threat to make the playoffs just yet.

The Jaguars believe David Garrard lacks the "eye of the tiger" and a "commitment to excellence and winning," according to NFL Network's Michael Lombardi. Lombardi suggests Garrard is missing the "innate intangible" that drives elite QBs. "They feel when David Garrard leaves the facility, then football is behind him," explains Lombardi. Coach Jack Del Rio, offensive coordinator and Dirk Koetter, and owner Wayne Weaver have hinted as much the past two years, calling Garrard out for his inconsistent play and suggesting he's not an elite field general. Garrard is the heavy favorite to start Week 1, but he's now just a bridge to Blaine Gabbert.

Excellent point, Don. Garrard, the "dink and dunk" king has never seemed to have a desire to really learn defenses. Perhaps Warren Moon is the only black QB I can think of that has put in the time.
A big part of QB Dog Killer's success last year was, according to teammates and team sources, dedication to film work and defense study. Whether or not he continues those good habit this year remains to be seen, but I kind of doubt it. Josh Freeman was a film-room addict at K-State from what I've heard, so he might have what is necessary for success at this level, but like you, I want to see a repeat performance.

Well, the Jag's defense just got whiter again, as they signed MLB Paul Posluszny from the Bills. I like what I'm seeing from the Jags.

From Rotoworld:

NFL Network's Jason La Canfora and the Florida Times-Union report the Jaguars have agreed to terms with MLB Paul Posluszny on a six-year contract.

The Bills "fought hard" to keep Poz, but he wanted to get back to a 4-3 defense. A now-aggressive Jacksonville front office budgeted for big signings at middle linebacker and safety, and they just reeled in one of their big fish. Posluszny figures to regain IDP stud status if he can stay healthy. Kirk Morrison will have to move to the weak side if he re-signs with the Jags.

Jax is also reportedly going to make a strong bid for Eric Weddle, in addition to drafting Chris Prosinski. If Aaron Kampman is back to full health, the long-time blackest team in the league could actually have one of the Whitest defenses if Weddle is signed -- although three or so White starters is hardly anything to get overly excited about.

Jacksonville has signed vastly underrated wr Greg Ellingson. I dont know about the rest of the Jaguars recievers but this guy has the talent to stick and eventually start like Jordy Nelson with the Packers. Time will tell. I find it weird the Jaguars signed Cole Brodie, drafted Chris Prosinski ( possibly as a corner ) and are pursuing Eric Weddle who could still play corner. Ive always wondered before I die if I would ever see an NFL team start 2 white corners at once. Call me crazy but all 3 can play the position well.

It looks like a starting white linebacker for the Jags as well. From Walterfootball:

Jaguars sign LB Paul Posluszny (6 years, $42 million): C- Grade
As a Penn state fan and alumnus, I love Paul Posluszny, but $42 million over six years is just way too much. Posluszny is a good player, but he's not great. A team like Jacksonville, however, has to overpay a bit to land free agents, so I'm not going to give them a D or an F, or anything. Still though, I'm a bit confused. The Jaguars drafted for the future when they selected Blaine Gabbert with the 10th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. So why are they spending so much money now if they're in rebuilding mode? Seems a bit wishy-washy to me.

Jack Lambert covered the Poz signing in the post above mine. That's what my post was in response to.

Its good to see Posluzny signed but you guys are right, he is a good not great player and he is injury prone. I have perused the wr's of Jacksonville and none of them are that impressive other than Jason Hill who caught 11 balls for about 250 yards. I think Greg Ellingson is going to do well on this team. I caught him in a couple of games last year and he definitely has talent but time will tell if he makes a living in the NFL. I think guys like Kris Durham, Ellingson and Maehl are going to turn some heads. I like Sanzenbacher as he is a lot more athletic than people give him credit for but he is going against stacked odds and though it would be nice to see Fantuz and Dane playing on the same roster in the caste world its highly unlikely.

Poz is one of the top middle linebackers in the league. He's a tackling machine who is all over the field. His production is "great," injuries have been his only negative thus far.

One last note on the Jags. If I recall this is the team that gave Peter Ittersagen his first chance a few years ago. One of their coaches has got to be looking at this from an anti caste position. Ittersagen, Weddle, Prosinski and Brodie. All they need to do is get Steve Gregory and Colin Jones from San Fran and they will have cornered the possible white corner market.

Weddle re-upped with the Chargers for the largest contract ever given a safety. I hope some of the other names mentioned get an actual opportunity, but some teams sign Whites at "taboo" positions but never use them as more than training camp fodder and occasionally as backups, the Bears being a prime example. Prosinski would seem to have the best chance at eventually becoming a starter.

3rd in the league in tackles last year 23rd and 24th before that. What does he have to do to become "great"? Felony arrest?

The pressure is already being applied by the Caste media to Blaine Gabbert to excel immediately. He is being criticized for not doing well enough -- in the team's first training camp scrimmage. How absurd.

After performing miserably in the Jaguars' Saturday night intrasquad scrimmage, Blaine Gabbert will get a chance to redeem himself in the team's preseason opener with the first-team offense. David Garrard, out since Thursday with "tightness" in his back, is not expected to dress out. Gabbert went 12-of-27 for 76 yards Saturday night, good for a 2.81 YPA. He needs to step up quickly if he's going to make a run at Garrard's job.

"Your listening to the Caste System NFL, where the anti-white hits just keep coming!"

It sickens me to read snippets like this and think about the upcoming purge. I'm glad we have a few more skill position players to root for this season, otherwise it could be a complete downer of a season.

Well, the Jags just signed OLB/DE Matt Roth, which will give the Jags another white player this season. Jacksonville is quietly building a nice contigent of white defensive players. The Jags will have 7-9 white defensive players on their roster this year, hopefully. At any rate, the Jags have to be getting close to breaking the unwritten rule about having too many white defensive players.

DE - Aaron Kampman, Matt Roth
MLB- Paul Posluszny, Russell Allen
WLB- Kyle Bosworth or Slade Norris
SLB- Jacob Cutrera or Scott Lutrus
FS- Chris Prosinski

If I could when the time comes, I'd like to do the Jag's preview this season.

Jaguars signed OLB/DE Matt Roth to a one-year, $3 million contract.

It's a strange fit as Roth was thought to be seeking a home in a 3-4 scheme. But with his market bottoming out for unknown reasons, the edge setter appears to have settled. Roth fills a need for the Jaguars, who have compiled just 40 sacks over their last 32 games, dead last in the league. He's an underrated pass rusher.

I guess Black Jack is trying to save his job by employing some White players. Unfortunately, he'll still have to rely on Garrard at QB, or go with the rookie, Gabbert.

I was really hoping Gabbert would be the starter from the beginning of the season but that won't happen. The "incredible" David Garrard will be the starter.

Jack Del Rio confirmed Tuesday that David Garrard has successfully held off rookie Blaine Gabbert for the Week 1 quarterback job.

The Jags upped Gabbert's first-team reps last week, but he never made much of a run at Garrard's job with zero touchdowns and a minuscule 4.64 YPA in four preseason quarters. Del Rio isn't exactly thrilled with Garrard's work so far, suggesting the offense needs to show more efficiency in this week's "tune-up" game. Garrard isn't a desirable QB2 this year with Gabbert looming as an in-game replacement.

David Garrard was cut today. It looks like Luke McCown is the starter for now.

Jaguars release David Garrard, to start Luke McCown

By Nate Davis, USA TODAY
Updated 19m ago

In a turn of events similar to 2007, the Jaguars are making a last-minute change under center.

CAPTION
By Matt Detrich, The Indianapolis Star

FOXSports' Jay Glazer was the first to report Jacksonville's release of QB David Garrard just days before the regular-season opener and installation of Luke McCown as the new starter.
Rookie first-rounder Blaine Gabbert, who was recently demoted to third on the depth chart, would presumably back up McCown.
Garrard, who had actively embraced a mentoring role of Gabbert, was slowed by back problems in the preseason and was outplayed by both McCown and the rookie.
Garrard passed for 216 yards, one INT and a 56.5 passer rating in the preseason. McCown had 133 yards and two TDs (125.5 rating) while Gabbert finished with 365 yards, a TD and an INT (64.3).
McCown tore an ACL last September while mopping up for Garrard in a 38-13 loss at San Diego.
A Pro Bowler in 2009, Garrard led the Jags to one playoff appearance. He has thrown for 16,003 yards, 89 TDs and 54 INTs (85.8 QB rating) since being taken in the fourth round of the 2002 draft. He was alternately awesome and awful in 2010 but had the team in the race for the AFC South crown before going on injured reserve after undergoing fingur surgery last December.
He was due about $8 million in 2011.
Ironically, the Jaguars surprisingly turned over the starting reins to Garrard on the eve of the 2007 season, cutting former starter Byron Leftwich in the process.

Great news. Another black QB bits the dust. Does that leave Freeman and Vick as the lone "entrenched" starters? McNabb will be replaced at some point this season I predict. Campbell, Jackson and Newton could be replaced if (when) they suck.

:peace: I'm happy to see that the "dink and dunk king" Garrard was let go by Blacksonville. I'm not sure that Garrard ever bothered to go through his progressions before dumping it off to whoever was the designated outlet receiver on any given play. I guess that Black Jack Del Rio was amazed and flabbergasted by seeing QBs that threw the ball down the field once in awhile.
