Hillis may have only averaged around the league average (4 YPC) with his 3.8 YPC 102 yard performance, but he looked good! The guy basically never has negative gains and made yards this game with 8 men in the box and penetration into the backfield when NO REAL SEAM was there. Seneca Wallace looks like a below average starting QB (although he played pretty well for a while AT THE BEGINNING of this game he is very inconsistent). Hopefully Colt McCoy will emerge or Jake Delhomme will get his old grove back for the time being to help keep the D honest for Hillis.

Great points guys. I agree with your takes on the breast cancer vs. prostate cancer- men's colon cancer debate. Men go through lots of trials and tribulations too, but society only talks about how rough things are for today's women. Men are emasculated in our society and there are even double standards in the laws that are anti-male. I could list some, but I'll leave that for another day.
Back to football. The problem with Hillis right now is that he's basically the Cleveland's offense. Without him, the Browns would be in the same boat as last year, maybe even worse, and Wallace is mediocre at best. With play action, the Browns should be completing some big pass plays of 50 yards or more on 3rd and 2's as the defense has to really focus on stopping Hillis. But, Wallace is just not up to the task. So, Hillis will have to really play well and tough if the Browns expect to win. Hillis must have really played well today because the Browns actually squeaked out a victory over the twidiots. Hopefully, Jake will be able to play much better the Wallace. I think he will. Now, the Browns can really make some hay in the air with play action. Jake D. should be able to deliver in the current environment. Let's hope he's back next week.

It's hard to believe it's finally happened. But the Browns need to keep winning games, especially with Mikey Holmgren taking over as GM. The Browns got hot at the end of last year; they need to get it going sooner this season. They beat Cincy and the Steelers and Ravens are both tough but beatable. Their receivers look like "projects" and losers, so it'll be rough goingfor Delhomme. He may make Hillis more active as a receiver than Wallace did.
I'd like to see the Brownswin seven or more games this year. There's no reason now, barring injury or Holmgren going off the deep end, that Hillis shouldn't rush for at least 1,200 yards. Edited by: Don Wassall

Hillis is already at 322 yards. We have to take into account the very limited number of carries he got in the first two weeks of the season. If he stays healthy 1,000 yards rushing is in the bag.

I like watching Mariani return kicks. He does it like it's supposed to be done. Get the ball, run really, really fast, and the odds are good that the defenders will not be able to react quickly enough, or get off of their blocks fast enough to get you. Good returners like Josh Cribbs and Devin Hester return kicks like this as well. That's one thing that drives me nuts watching Jordy return kicks, he slows down and looks around for holes. It rarely ever works, even if you find a hole, it's gone by the time you'd get there, and it gives defenders a good look at the ball, making it easier to "punch" out. Jordy needs to watch a tape of Mariani and follow suit.Toby Hillis said:

I'm ok with the NFL supporting breast cancer. And while the pink did look out of place it wasn't overbearing.
As long as we are the ones wearing pink to support a women's issue and not the women wearing blue to support us it means we are still in charge. When women start wearing blue to support us then we have gone from the top to 2nd class citizens, like women are(yes, they still are).
Same holds true for court decisions involving kids and divorce. When the judge starts catering to the mans needs then we are truly done.
And I doubt there is anyone here who would have any self respect if the government gave us all the hand-outs it gives minorities.
As it stands now, all we want is equality for all parties involved.Edited by: GWTJ

I don't remember any Cultural Marxists disapproving of Lance Armstrong selling yellow bracelets to support cancer research. And he, ironically, did have testicular cancer.
I do understand your feelings on divorce and custody rights. I know I am in the minority when men express their views on this subject. But take away the blacks and the percentage of people who are married would no doubt go up significantly.

Anyway, for the Monday nite tilt against the Dolphins, the Patriots' Fred Taylor did not make the trip to Miami, so that leaves BenWhatshisname-Green Jarvis, Sammy (who?) Morris, and Danny Woodhead as the RB's. There is an excellent chance that "Woody" will get quitefew touches tonight. I might actually tune it to this game, a rarity for me on Monday night.

I think being a man or a woman is not a happy circumstance today after 40 years of intense feminist indoctrination has broken the natural bonds between men and women and devastated the family unit in the U.S. Your individual situation may be different and if so I'm glad for you, but that's no longer the norm, not even close. Spot on post Don. I do support breast cancer research as you do too, but we need compassion for men with prostate cancer too. We need to have compassion for BOTH men and women when they go through tribulations.
The Michael Vick coverage is so overblown. I'm trying to get some pregame coverage of the Monday night game, and all the buffoons on ESPN and NFL Network want to talk about Vick. He won 2 games against 2 scrub teams, yet he is the single biggest story in the NFL this year. It is non-stop nauseating Vick coverage. I wish he didn't get hurt so he could lose a few games and shut everybody up.
