This is the first Matt Ryan game I've watched in around two years. He was impressive!
Need to go check how you guys rated the Falcons caste-wise. Maybe it's been long enough since Theisman was shoving Vick down my throat that I can stand to watch this team again.

I followed the game via the internet play-by-play on CBS Sportsline... it was heart-wrenching!

I didn't really mind that Flacco threw a TD pass to Heap (to take the lead), but I was glad that Matty Ice performed what seemed to be magic! I need to see the highlites.

Atlanta really needed this win. How is Atlanta winning without Vick? Perplexing... (That's another reason why I wanted Atlanta to win.)

The two games I'm looking forward to watching on Sunday are the Browns-Jets and Patriots-Steelers.

If Peyton Hillis has a big game against the Jets, he'll have proved conclusively that he can run on any team in the league. The Jets take pride in their smashmouth defense and the Browns are playing smashmouth offense so it should be a "throwback" game. You can bet the Jets defenders will be very psyched to stop Hillis.

The Steelers and Patriots are playing Sunday night in front of a national audience. Hopefully Danny Woodhead will get a significant number of dumpoff passes and runs and be able to make some plays against a defense that has allowed just one running back to go over 100 yards against them in the last 42 games, a very impressive stat. Would be nice to see Wes Welker be utilized more, too. It's also a contest matching a team that's among the league's relatively Whitestversus a team that thinks the Rooney Rule means everyone below the rank of GM should ideally be black. The refs virtually handed the Falcons the win by helping them at least three times on 3rd and long situations on their final drive. The non-call on Roddy White when he threw down the DB and scored was the icing on the cake for the NFL. It's the type of comeback I have seen before too often for it not to be an NFL agenda.

I have no idea. I don't claim to know why the NFL would want one team to win over another team. But I have seen it happen again and again and I don't watch very many games.

The answer might be as simple as a Hollywood movie. Everyone likes a happy ending so why not have the home team win. The crowd going crazy no doubt excites the home audience as well. But again, I have no idea about the why of it.

I will add that it's not just football where I have seen this. When I used to watch basketball if a game was heading for a blowout early a few timely foul calls and the game got close again.

Or how about the epic series between the Lakers and the Jazz back when Mark Eaton was the Jazz center. He had been the Laker killer throughout the series but in game 7 in Los Angeles he suddenly picked up three quick fouls in the 1st quarter and was a non-factor in the game which Los Angeles won handily. Ask any Jazz fan if the Lakers were or were not handed that series on a silver platter.

The only way to eliminate this kind of manipulation is to allow challenges for penalties or for non-calls which should be penalties. But this will never happen.

Again, I don't claim to have any insider info or any explanation for any of it. I only know what I see.

Not to mention that I have heard a million times how the Steelers always get the calls in the playoffs. I have heard it for decades and after watching the Steelers get a gift wrapped Super Bowl win against the Seahawks I completely sympathize with the many frustrated fans out there.

I think its much easier to rig a basketball game than a football game. I think the refs can influence a game to a certain extent to maybe try and cover a spread but to have a script would take a lot of people in on it, and someone would have leaked it by now. WGA can't keep their mouth shut. Overall, you can't control much in a football game, bad calls, non calls, yes those can deflate a team but you can overcome that if you try hard enough. Michael Vick would have won a Superbowl and the Saints would have won the Superbowl right after Katrina, unless they knew an oil spill would be coming and gave them a win before that hah.

Kornheiser described the Falcons like this "The Falcons have good to very good QB, and a very good to GREAT wide receiver".

So Roddy White commits an illegal push off for offensive pass interference to get separation from the defender and it isn't called and he is great because of it? But Matt Ryan is just good to very good.

Okaaaaaay.

Oh yeah, and if football is fixed why did the Bills go to the superbowl 4 years in a row and never win and now they are 0 - 8? Did they guy pushing for the Bills to go to the superbowl and lose pass away or something? And why has Detroit sucked for, oh, 20 years? And why haven't any of the refs come out and exposed a multi billion dollar industry as a fraud when they are making but a pittance compared to the players, coaches and owners?

During the Thursday night game, the crack announcing team (really- could they dream up a more nightmarish duo than Theismann and Millen?) managed to take two seperate swipes at Atlanta's mostly white offensive line. First, I believe it was Joe Papa who stated "they won't win any beauty contests" when the faces of the OL were first flashed on the screen. Later, after giving them a bit of credit, Millen declared, "they're not the best looking group."

How gay is this? These idiots were not merely deflecting credit from white players, as is their normal wont, but on two different occasions remarking on the perceived physical appearance of the Atlanta linemen. I guess they prefer that sexy, handsome sumo look that is so popular now around the league.

As for Theismann, he was remarkably restrained most of the night, actually saving most of his mawkish praise for Matt Ryan. I expected a Ray Lewis slobberfest, but other than his ridiculous remark about Deion Sanders being one of the 5 best players of all time, he was about as inoffensive as he can be.

Theismann and Millen- I'm sure they will provide a lot more fodder for the posters on this forum during upcoming broadcasts.

I also heard these completely unessential and downright peculiar statements regarding the physical appearance of Atlanta's 4/5 white offensive line. Millen also stated that "they aren't the most athletic bunch"Â￾ later in the broadcast. Ugly and unathletic"¦.how tragic.

I find it comical whenever white NFL players are described as unattractive whatsoever. Any rational person, no matter how inundated with cultural Marxist venom, need only to look upon the monstrous faces beneath the helmets of nearly every single black player to find the truth. I've never once heard an announcer mention the gelatinous, sumo-wrestler physique of nearly every non-white offensive and defensive lineman notorious of the past 15 years.

As the caste system continues to crash, the Useful Wiggers need to conjure fresh vernacular.

It would've been nice to see a Browns game in prime time this year. Unfortunately, I checked their schedule and they do not have any in 2010. The only way I can see it happen is if CLE goes on an improbable play-off run, and one of their last two games, both at home (Ravens/Steelers), could have play-off implications. The NFL's flexible scheduling policy could then elevate one of those games to Sunday Night, as they would be eligible under the flex rules.

That would be a treat, to have the entire nation watch Hillis carry the football in a game of significance. I'm sure we'll also have the privilage of hearing Collinsworthless tell us how Peyton is a running back from the 1800s. I can't wait to hear what insults he has in store for Danny Woodhead tomorrow night.

Ive been spending alot of time watching the videos on NFL.com, and ran across Collinsworth, Warren Sapp, and Phil Simms disscussing which player the Broncs miss the most. Sapp said it was brandon Marshall. I was shocked that Collinswoth, and Simms said it was Hillis without question. Simms even got a little wound up about it. Bolth of these guys are usually caste clowns. Im gonna go see if I can find that clip again.

Without Aaron Smith and Brett Keisel up front, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Pats line dominate. Sumo Hampton will be getting plenty of plays off and oxygen in this one.

That's what it's saying to me too, but sometimes the connection isn't up until later in the game. It appears the Browns tried a surprise onside kick after their field goal, but the kick failed.
