It's clear now why the otherwise coal black Bucs kept three White safeties on their roster -- tokeep aroundas permanent scapegoats. Cody Grimm is now getting the same treatment Sabby Piscatelli received last year -- being singled out for blame for a loss in which the defense gave up 38 points. And Piscatelli is still "deep in the doghouse" because he dared to do what black athletes do all the time -- speak out against what he considered (and rightly so) unfair treatment. Bucs coach Raheem Morris defended new starting FS Cody Grimm after the rookie struggled in his first NFL start in Week 3.
Grimm missed numerous tackles and was victimized on a Mike Wallace 40-plus yard touchdown. "(Grimm) played too well the rest of the game to even talk about that right now," said an apparently delusional Morris. The Bucs will return from their Week 4 bye as a pass defense upon which to feast.

So a former defensive backs coach is delusional and doesn't know what he is talking about? He probably doesn't have a clue about how to coach a team but I am sure he knows a thing or two about the secondary. He played safety at Hofstra and was a defensive backs coach since 1999 until his AA promotion to head coach.

So Grimm is the only one that plays defense? the only one in the secondary? I guess no other player has gotten beat on a big play.

How about this guys, Sabby Piscitelli and Cody Grimm led the Bucs in tackles on Sunday but also had two crucial Interceptions each. Cody's was in the 2nd quarter which he returned for a TD and Sabby's was right near the end which set up the winning field goal. Funny how two white safety's can have such dominating performances on such a dire black team. Only in the NFL can such a dire team be 3-1.

Unfortunatly these stella performances will go unoticed (Magic Freeman and Morris will get all the credit) and the DWF's of Tampa will circle around Cody and Sabby like vultures waiting for their next 'minor' mistakes.

Huggins out for the season? : Tampa Bay RB Kareem Huggins, who got some early touches in the Week 6 game against New Orleans, left the game in the third quarter with a knee injury. Huggins rushed three times for 7 yards and added one catch for 7 more yards. The St. Petersburg Times said after the game that Huggins may have torn knee ligaments and could be done for the year.

The Bucs have two 25-point home losses this season, but that doesn't matter to coach Raheem Morris.

"I like where we are. We're 4-2. We're the best team in the NFC. Yeah, I said it. We're excited," Morris said after another stirring comeback from quarterback Josh Freeman.

Perhaps Morris just meant they have the best record, but that's not true anyway. (Atlanta is 5-2.) And the reporters on the scene didn't really indicate they thought that's what Morris meant.

This is a young, confident, excitable Bucs team that competes hard and has a true franchise quarterback whose potential looks unlimited. They aren't the best team in the NFC, but that's part of the fun of a parity-filled conference with only uncertainty in front of us.

Morris can say whatever he wants. It's sorta awesome he's even in position to consider saying that after seven weeks.

As I stated in the Week 7 thread, Tampa Bay is the worst 4-2 team in the history of the league. Our local Fox affiliate carried the Rams v. Bucs. It was an atrocious abortion of a game. The Rams are horrible on the road. The Bucs were brutally anemic on offense and committed multiple penalties. Freeman is big with a strong arm, and that's all I've seen so far. Most of his completions were to Kellen Winslow, Jr. They have a good kicker, who made 4 field goals. They completely mismanaged the clock on the game winning drive, but the Rams defense was obviously exhausted in the 90 degree heat and missed several tackles. The stadium was half empty. The best team in the NFC and they have a -30 point differential. Wasn't Denver 6-0 last year? Raheem should be praising the NFL's schedule makers.

St. Louis had a 17-3 lead, but failed to score another point after that; failed to put Tampa away.

There's NO evidence that Tampa played "great"... and Freeman had dink-and-dunk numbers -- 212 passing yards on 23 completions. They struggled against a team with a rookie QB (Sam Bradford).. FACT!

The Bucs and Steelers are the two surprise coal black teams so far this season. The Steelers look solid now that Roethlisberger is back, but I'll be surprised if Tampa keeps up the pace. They've won some close games against less than stellar competition and as Icsept mentioned they lookquite mediocreand boring doing it.

With Legursky now starting for Steelers, they are actually up to five white starters if all are healthy, which unfortunately is just under the 5.5 or so average for white starters league wide.

The Steelers started the season with just9 White players on their roster, tied for the worst ever, which is why they qualify as one of the coal black teams from my perspective. Jack Lambert also graded them out at F- in his preview. Big Ben made it 10 when he returned. Both White starters on defense are long in the tooth and no White defensive players are being drafted or developed. And Aaron Smith is injured and Keisel has been banged up as well. In a couple of seasons it's likely to be Big Ben (if he isn't driven out of town by then by more false accusations from sluts), Heath Miller (who almost was dumped last year to save salary), and maybe Legursky or another token White lineman. It looks like Bucs will have two starting o-lineman as Larsen will take over as either guard or center, to go along with Trueblood, with Vincent getting cut. Also, a new white o-lineman replaced him on roster.Edited by: referendum

Its surprising to see Tampa released Stevens and promoted Ryan Purvis from the practice squad.Purvis is another very good recieving tight end so hopefully he gets a legit shot.Some team needs to come by a bit of common sense and sign Chase Coffman ASAP.

They didn't draft a single white player last year and two whites in 2009, A.O Shipley a center and Kraig Urbik a guard. Urbik was easily one of the top guards for the 2009 draft yet he was waived in September of 2010. Shipley was also waived by the Steelers and is now on the Eagles practice squad. Mike Tomlin is racist, plain and simple.

Looks like Eric Lorig will start at fullback tomorrow, which will actually raise the white starter level to a staggering five, assuming Trueblood is back. Of course the three white starters on offense are in safe, caste approved positions.
