I was going to mention that sunshine. Why is Grimm now listed as running a 4.64? Why isn't Toby listed as a Top Performer in the 40?
When they ran at Virginia Tech, Grimm posted a 4.57. This wasn't hand timed, a Virginia Tech Engineer major went through the video and electronically timed. where he started and stopped. I highly doubt the track in Indy is that much slower than other tracks so it is a little fishy, especially since he has been training and should be faster than what he ran previously. Its also fishy that nfl.com doesn't have Toby when its been verified by people inside the building that he ran 4.55, but I guess they don't want dwfs to look at top performers and see a White rb in every category, I wonder if there is a way to call them out on it. Maybe I am just being paranoid, but I am thinking on that video of top performers, thats why they put him running from the front angle, I dont think someone could go and see what he actually ran electronically. There was 1 other with the same angle, but its possible he didn't run as fast as they would have us believe, and it was shown right before Toby
Malcolm Jenkins ran a 4.56 last year and was allowed to play cornerback. Grimm should be able to play safety at 4.54/4.57. Even if he did run a 4.64 it would be fast enough to play SS if he were black.
Looking at some of these dbs, their stats and times, Matt O'Hanlon was really screwed over with no invite. 6 picks 62 tackles, 6 pass deflections and 2 sacks. Always seemed to be around the ball.
Joe Haden the number 1 rated CB ran an UNofficial 4.6
Taylor Mays ran an unofficial 4.24, it took him 30 yards to catch up with Toby, thats having an angle.
Kyle McCarthy ran a 4.63, only .03 seconds slower than the number 1 rated corner. Should definitely be fast enough to play SS at the next level, espescially since Myron Rolle who is rated higher just ran an unoffical 4.69. Its going to be hard to discriminate against White players because of their 40 time with some of the times these affletes are running. They just said an unofficial 4.53 is a GREAT time for a safety, which is close to what Grimm ran, unofficially.
Cody Grimm's teammate, a cornerback just ran a 4.7 unofficially. They had Grimm playing SS/LB in the 4-4 and the slower afflete playing corner.
