I just wanted to start a thread for the free agents that will be signing around the league. I'm hoping David Lee ends up in either Phoenix, Utah or Dallas. Any of those three would be great. We will also know be mid week what Dirk Nowitzki is going to do.

You would like to see Lebron come to NY? What for? The Knicks are my team right now because of Lee, Gallinari, and Sergio Rodriguez. I'm sure that will change now that Lee is most likely on his way out. The last thing I want is "Pig" James playing for the Knicks.

The way the media covers 2010 Free Agency, you'd think Lebron was the only free agent available. The amount of coverage this prima donna gets on ESPN is ridulous.

That aside, David Lee to Phoenix or Utah would be great. I wouldn't mind seeing Nowitzki going to either of those teams either if he leaves Dallas.

The latest rumor for the Mavs is they are very confident to sign Dirk and they think they can sign Joe Johnson from the Hawks to team with Dirk and Butler. Not overly excited by that move, would rather sign Lee or even Bosh to team with Dirk.

apparently the only free agents who may sign a contract this summer are Lebron James, Dwyane (not a mis-spelling) Wade, Chris Bosh, and Amare Stoudemire. at least, that's the only guys i see when i turn on ESPN ... *puke*

I would never watch ESPN until Lebron, D-Wade (blacks always seem to have nicknames like this.) and Bosh sign. The only reason I do is because the World Cup is on ESPN.

Counting out the times I've watched ESPN's coverage of the World Cup, I have a streak of 10 times I've turned on ESPN, only to see the same recycled Lebron highlights and the "reporters" talking about Lebron and/or Wade.

The local paper here hasn't mentioned David Lee once in the past few weeks. It's all about Lebron James and the Knicks plans. You would think they would give some respect to the Knicks best player Lee but it hasn't happened.

About 95 percent of the time Tiger Woods is in a golf tournament, guess what the first image is I see when I turn it on?

I've seen enough of Sports Center over the last month to agree with you wholeheartedly about the Lebron worshipping, Jack. It's so over the top there's really not an adjective to adequately describe it.

You would like to see Lebron come to NY?  What for?  The Knicks are my team right now because of Lee, Gallinari, and Sergio Rodriguez.  I'm sure that will change now that Lee is most likely on his way out.  The last thing I want is "Pig" James playing for the Knicks.

Gallinari could still be on the court with Lebron and just move to SG, they'd just probably switch it defensively and have Lebron guard the SG. I actually would like to see the Knicks keep Lee if they can, but if he goes elsewhere and the Suns lose Amare, I'd like to see him go to Pheonix and help them whiten the team more AND win a championship.

Why NY for Lebron you ask? Because he's a special player and I could see a lineup with 3 whites on the floor at times that could win a CHAMPIONSHIP. An NBA championship team that puts 3 whites out on the court at times (and gets huge media exposure in DWF NY) would really screw with the ESPN, YAHOOligan white RIVALS caste master's heads.

PG: Rodriguez if Duhon or Douglas isn't out there
SG: Gallinari
SF: Lebron
PF Al Harrington
C: David Lee

They could even sign Chris Bosh and it wouldn't be a bad thing because they could play him alongside Lee!

Tough, the thing is that the lineup you posted will never happen. The Knicks will not keep Lee. The best player in the NY/NJ area isn't wanted anymore. Rodriguez started some games last season but I doubt he'll be a starter this season.

<div>I would love to see Dirk go anywhere -- just leave Dallas! Ever since that a$$ clown Mark Cuban ran Steve Nash out of town in 2004 -- was unwilling to give him a "fair deal" for a player of his stature (particularly in terms of years) --  I've hated the Mavs with a passion.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Point blank: If the Mavs have Nash and Dirk, they beat Heat in the NBA Finals, no problem.  They might have even won more than one NBA title with the duo. Only thing that would've prevented that from happening is if Stern fixed the series -- much the way he fixed  (using his corrupt refs) the Kings/Lakers Western Finals in the early 2000's, when the Kings had an almost majority white team
smiley16.gif
</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Also, Nash and Dirk were best friends. Couldn't pry the two apart. Had Nash been around, perhaps Dirk would not have gotten that troll  pregnant, and marred his life.....Nash would've taken less money to stay in Dallas, but Commrade Cuban, like a good Marxist soldier, couldn't make the NBA "look bad", having Nash and Dirk dominate all the scrubs in that league, so Nash went on to be Phoenix's token white, while Dirk stayed behind and remained the Mavs' token white.</div>

Nice rant. I agree with most of it except the part about Dirk leaving the Mavs. He is still the man there and would prefer he win a title there with him being the top dog instead of maybe signing with the Bulls and Rose gets all the credit. In other words, while Dirk still has two or three prime years left, I don't want him playing second fiddle to anybody but maybe he doesn't care about that as long as he gets a title out of it.

Dirk has opted out of the final year of his contract so we will have to wait and see what happens. I'm guessing he will resign a four year deal with the Mavs. The only way I see him leaving is if another team with an almost definite chance of making it to the NBA Finals gives him an offer.

Some good news for David Lee to the Suns.

ESPN's Ric Bucher said Thursday that the Suns and Amare Stoudemire are no longer in contract talks.

Amare is going to get a big offer from someone, and every team with cap space available is going to hit him with offers. It's still possible he could return to the Suns, but that's looking very unlikely at this point.

I agree with Truthteller's rant. It's in your name, you tell it like it is! I was really pissed when the Mavs lost Nash. If what you're saying is true and Nash was willing to take less money (how much less I don't know) this makes this even more reprehensible. I think the Mavs with Dirk and Nash would have beaten the Heat in 2006 and I think they would have beaten the Spurs and then Cleveland in 2007 (the "Dirkless" Suns might have beaten the "champion" Spurs if not for dictator Stern's suspensions). The Mavs might have had 3 (4?) NBA championships by now if Billionaire "Cuban" had simply written the check and rolled some "Cubans" to smoke with Dirk n' Nash in some of his Benjamins lol. The last 3 years would have probably been a race between Boston, LA and the Mavs (with a Nash-Dirk duo) for titles.Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

That's the thing in the NBA. You can never have more than one "token" white guy that stands out for a team. Some examples: Nash for the Suns, Dirk and the Mavs, Kaman with the Clippers, Manu with the Spurs, Bogut for the Bucks, Gasol for the Lakers, and Bird-Man with the Nuggets. Sure, some teams play more than one white, but usually he's not a well known guy, which means, in the eyes of the DWFs, he's expendable. I know there's teams like Orlando, Utah, and Toronto that start and/or play more than one white, but they seem to have a black guy or a mullato that gets most of the attention. Like with the Jazz, Boozer and Derron Willaims are the guys your average white idiot hears about, Chris Bosh with the Raptors, and Dwight Howard with the Magic. It seems all the teams that actually play more whites than 2-3 league norm have black "superstars" that get the attention diverted to them, usually, no matter how good said white players do.

That's why I think the league could never let David Lee go to the Suns. Having him and Nash starting, and with Lopez and Dragic off the bench, that would be way too much for today's league. I'd love to see it happen, don't get me wrong, but I doubt it will.

Hopefully this year, that starts to change.

Milicic just signed a four year extension with the Twolves. David Lee is talking to four teams at the moment and none are the Suns. I hope this changes soon. Phoenix is going to miss out if they don't hurry up and make a decision.

The Lakers got whiter today. They signed PG Steve Blake to a 4-Year deal.

Point guard Steve Blake, who played for the Clippers last year, has agreed to a four-year, $16 million deal with the Lakers.

This probably ends the Lakers' discussions about Mike Miller, although there's a slim chance he could come over in a sign-and-trade from the Wizards. As it stands, Blake was a top point guard in this free agent class, so not only did the Lakers get him to help replace Jordan Farmar, they kept another team from signing him. And our guess is Lakers fans couldn't be happier about replacing Farmar with Blake.

TJR, as I remember, Nash absolutely did not want to leave Dallas. I think he was only like 30, when Cuban decided to "go younger" with Terry at point guard...The link below confirms Nash did everything he could do to stay....and Cuban words to Letterman are total bull$hit -- Nash played great for Dallas, his success in Phoenix should only surprise a total fool.

But as I noted before, a Nash &amp; Nowitzki tandem dominating the league would've been too tough for the Marxist that run the NBA to take, so Commrade Cuban was just doing what he "had to do", by splitting up the pair...By the way, MarcusChabenisky (Cuban's real family name) showed his true colors last year when he handed 37 year old point guard Jason Kidd a fat 3-year deal. So much forneeding a"young point guard"

Good news on Blake going to the Lakers. At the very least,he should take Farmar's minutes and, more importantly, he's away from the woeful Clippers. And who knows, with the age they have at point guard, Blake might get a chance to start?....Actually, I was "really hoping" the Lakers would trade for Kirk Hinrich last spring, as rumors were running rampant they wanted him. Turned out once the Bulls traded Salmons, Hinrich stayed.

With Wade possibly going to Chicago, it looks like Kirk is going to the Wizards. Amazingly, media reports claim Wizards' GM Ernie Grunfeld has coveted Kirk for his defensive skills since he was at Kansas...it's a surprise, because Grunfeld has never seemed to like trading for or drafting white players, dating back to when he ran the Knicks in the 1990's.Edited by: Truthteller

If Amare goes to NY then David Lee going to the Suns makes sense.

Any word on what Reddick is gonna do?

I never understood all the hype Jason Kidd received during his career. In his prime he was pretty good but never what the media made him out to be. His career shooting percentage is only 40 %. That's pretty poor if you ask me.

Maybe a bit off topic as it isn't a white athlete but it is getting amazingly crazy what people are doing to woo Lebron. Fans have put in a website begging for Lebron to stay in Cleveland along with a rally. Friend and Rapper Jay-Z brought his wife Beyonce to talk him into the Nets. The New York Knicks have brought in Fortune 500 executives and even Mayor Bloomberg will personally meet with LeBron. I understand that he may bring in tens of millions of dollars to which ever city he ends up but are you kidding me?
