In my observation, Slavic people, which is 90% of the Eastern European population are very tall (average height in Croatia is 6'1), have extremely broad shoulders, as well as thick and powerful legs.

Yes, the taller specimens often have long limbs, wide shoulders and narrow hips which are suited for basketball and tennis.Goran Ivanisovic (sp) a good example.

If the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes had spent more time shooting buckets instead of each other no telling how many great teams and athletes they could have produced.

In what I figured would be a close fought game, Argentina defeated Brazil 93-89. Thinking that Brazil would win was my only wrong prediction, although, most of the games (at the start of the knock-out stage) were obvious mismatches!

With Lithuania defeating China in the other game today, that sets-up a Lithuania vs Argentina game. These two countries played each other in the Bronze medal game at the last Olympics, with Argentina taking the Bronze medal.

It should be a good game.

Home-team Turkey handily defeated Slovenia.

One of the main points here is that the white RACE is incredibly diverse.

But back to basketball, if blacks are so good at it then why does Angola suck?
They have more citizens than countries like Slovenia.
Blacks only win when they are taken from a country (US) that is basically the size of a continent in terms of people.

Angola was ranked 12th in the world and made it to the World Championships. Sweden was ranked 67th in the world and didn't make it to the World Championahipa. It's all relative.
A team ranked 12th in the world out of 75 basketball playing nations doesn't really "suck."

I wonder if Durant had a mediocre game does the US even beat a relatively weak and relatively below the rim team like Turkey. The tournament seemed to be there for the US to win once Spain and Argentina were bounced out. One thing about these recent US teams they play a "White style" opposed to a "Black style" which could explain why they have been doing better. Coach K wouldn't take a donkey like a Sprewell on one of these teams.

Seth that sure is a bold second paragraph. I doubt you'll ever witness another blowout as seen in the '92 games. You have to remember that many of the other top countries weren't at full strength either, plus I think the knowledge of the game has spread to the point where most games will be competitive. USA has proven to be the favorite, but they will be the first to tell you nearly every game will be a challenge and they have to show up with their "A" game to win.
