Here are the projected starters for new head coach Steve Sarkisan's Huskies. The Huskies had 9 starters last year, so they are down two this year.

Offense

QB Jake Locker
FB Paul Homer
TE Chris Izbicki
LT Cody Habben
C Ryan Tolar
RT Drew Schaefer

Defense
DE Daniel Te'o-Nesheim
DT Cameron ElisaraEdited by: Jack Lambert

I am curious as to how Jake Locker will do this year. Coming off an injury and now being drafted by a major league baseball team has to make life interesting for him. Whatever he does, I wish him the best. He's an amazing athlete!

<div>SEATTLE (AP) - Washington running backs Brandon Johnson and David
Freeman have been ruled academically ineligible for the upcoming season.

The announcement from the school came Tuesday.

Johnson,
a junior from Hawthorne, Calif., rushed for 194 yards in nine games
last season, making him the team's third-leading rusher. Freeman, a
sophomore from Inglewood, Calif., ran for 152 yards in four games with
the winless Huskies.

Neither player was expected to start for the
Huskies this season. After spring practice, Washington listed three
freshman - Chris Polk, Willie Griffin and Demetrius Bronson - on its
depth chart at tailback.

Also, white FB Paul Homer should start for Washington this year. His backup is white as well, Austin Sylvester.
