2009 Cincinnati Bengals

WA 33 yeah DWFs like to justify affeletic anti social behavior. I am hopeful that alot of whites are waking up from their silent enabling ways and letting their voices be heard via the TEA Party.

Here is a bit from Walterfootball. The reason I'm posting this is to show exactly how the DWF's feel. This Walter Cherpinsky loves to refer to Matt Jones as Matt "Coke Zero" Jones yet doesn't say anything negative about Benson. Also no mention of Brian Leonard. What a surprise.

The line should help Cedric Benson carry the offense once again - if
Benson's even on the football field. Benson did a great job resurrecting
his career by rushing for 1,251 yards and six touchdowns in 2009, but
was arrested in May. He could be facing a suspension. If he misses
action, impressive second-year back Bernard Scott should do a good job
filling in.

Impressive second-year back? I didn't think Bernard Scott was that good. Isn't this the guy who is slow, out of shape, and perpetually injured?

No, you must have him mistaken for someone else Greenfire. Scott had 321 rushing yards last year but since he's black he's already labeled as impressive.

Scott is a mediocre black with a criminal history only the Bengals could love. Leonard is white. Who do you think will benefit in the unlikely event Benson is punished for his actions?

Here is what Rotoworld says about Scott. Leonard is apparently not explosive enough for the Bengals offense.

The Bengals have not approached contract-year RB Brian Leonard about an
extension this offseason.
<div ="s_pNewsTextMain"> The
team's third-down back, Leonard may cede the job to more explosive
Bernard Scott next season, if not this year. Though Leonard can pick up
the blitz, the Bengals aren't in any rush to increase his ball-carrying
duties.

Nope no double standard here. From Rotoworld:

Beat writer Joe Reedy reiterated that Cedric Benson appears unlikely to
face punishment from the league for his recent assault charge.
<div ="s_pNewsTextMain"> The league is still looking at the case,
but the information coming out of the bar fight appears to leave Benson
in the clear. Considering Benson was only charged with a Class-A
misdemeanor, it would be a surprise if he ends up suspended.

He's explosive enough all right (for a Kevin Faulk type role with the Bengals). I think he just doesn't have the right "gift" for "explosiveness" the Bengals are looking for (ie. the explosiveness to punch your coach, explosive gratifying Klepto Play Station stealing episodes at college, or explosiveness to try to "keep it real" and knock people out with haymakers you disagree with at bars). Benson and Scott, despite being spoiled with huge pro money, have the maturity and "explosiveness" of "Pop Warner" football players. Now that's "explosiveness".

Does anyone know who does the write-ups for the Pro Football Weekly Annual. Is it the teams own beat writers? The reason I ask this is because some joker who did the write-up for the Bengals actually wrote that Matt Jones was a possesion reciever and,get this, said Matt was not fast.#@(*&.I wonder if this guy knows who Matt Jones is.Oh,some White guy he most be slow.I have to find out who this "writer"is.

Good news for the Bengals and Cedric Benson. ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that
Benson will not be suspended by Commissioner Roger Goodell for his recent trouble. Clipped from the Adam Schefter tweet: "NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will notsuspend Bengals running back Cedric Benson for his role in a June altercation inTexas."

I guess the fact that he was yelling racist slurs against White employees at the time of his arrest merely cinched the deal. . .

This is good news for Shipley and whatever slim chance Matt Jones has of making the team:

<H1>Antonio Bryant isn't practicing at Bengals camp</H1>
<DIV =post-info>Posted by Evan Silva on July 31, 2010 7:19 PM ET
<DIV =post->The Bengals all but admitted that receiver Antonio Bryant's four-year, $28 million contract was a mistake when they signed Terrell Owens to start over Bryant last week. It's believed the team felt "buyer's remorse" after a poor offseason from Bryant, who is also rumored to be battling a lingering knee injury.

The Bengals repeatedly assured reporters at the outset of training camp that Bryant's knee was not an issue, and didn't place him on the active/Physically Unable to Perform list. According to the team's Twitter account, however, Bryant is no longer practicing.

It is commonplace for teams to limit players coming off injury to once-a-day practicing, but that's not the case with Bryant. He's missed four straight practices. The team has not revealed why.

With PUP no longer an option, releasing Bryant might be a growing possibility. The Bengals had planned to use Bryant in the slot, but drafted a ready-made slot receiver in Jordan Shipley, and still have incumbent slot receiver Andre Caldwell. Cutting Bryant would save $1.55 million. The alternative would be to keep Bryant on roster, hope his knee heals on its own, and perhaps use him in a limited role during the season.

Either way, Bryant is the early favorite for worst signing of the 2010 offseason.

After hearing Owens was going to the Bengals...was hoping Jones would get traded...however it likely won't happen with Bryant's knee problem.

You make a good point Truthteller!

Im hoping Bryant blows out his knee in traning camp...the guy is a low-life
