we have another contender for Caste Football's College Basketball Moment of the Year ...
today, Louisville was trailing heavily-favored, and #1-ranked, Syracuse. it was Louisville's final home game of the season, and the final game ever at storied Freedom Hall. any chance at victory was slipping away, and things seemed dark for the home team when cramping negro (as an aside, what kind of athlete is so out of shape that he's cramping at this time of year?!?!? can you say, "too much pot smoking?") Reggie Delk left the game.
that is, untilunheralded,under-utilized sophomore guard
Kyle Kuric stepped onto thecourt for the first time with 16:11 left in the game ... Kuric, despite lacking the "playmaking pigment," has a vertical leap of well over 3 feet and is regarded within the program as one of the best
dunkers on the team. he rarely gets any burn, but today's performance will go down as legendary.
Kuric went 9-11 from the floor, hitting 4 three-pointers and showcasing his aerial prowess with 4 dazzling dunks, and finished with a game-high 22 points as he led Louisville to the comeback, upset win. not bad for a kid who has averaged only 13.4 minutes-per-game this year.
Pat Forde wrote a
complimentary article on the performance. surprisingly, it doesn't have much caste speak in it.
just imagine if Kuric had some athleticism.
