2008 Undrafted Free Agent Watch

Luke Lippincott is still at Nevada. This kid is a very good and he will hopefully get an invite to the combine next year.

I'm glad to hear that. I thought he may have been a senior this year, and I couldn't understand why he hadn't been mentioned. He should definately be drafted. I think he may be slightly better than Jacob Hester was.

yup, just confirmed Swan's signing with KC.

Nebraska MLB Corey McKeon was invited to Bucs training camp (Barrett Ruud probably helped him to get an invite), he said there's more teams interestd so if he doesn't signed with TB there's a chance he gets on roster somewhere else.

QB Adam Tafralis signed with Colts

LB Jordan Senn from Portland State signed with Colts

DE Jesse Mading, Colorado State signed with Texans

DE Casey Tyler, Portland State - Patriots

DE Bryan Mattison, Iowa - Jets

TE Joe Reitz, Western Michigan - Ravens

DE Chase Ortiz, T.C.U - Browns

S Greg Hay, Toledo - Browns

DT Jordan Reffett, Washington - Steelers

Luke Lippincott is back at Nevada. He will have to have an absolute monster season playing in that conference to get interest as a RB from the NFL being a white RB. Despite having 4.5 speed and good stats running the ball as a HB; NFLdraftscout.com is projecting Lippincott as a FB and he isn't even in their top 10 FBs for '09.

We need to see white WRs Weston Dressler (slot), Ashton Gronewold, Brian Hernandez, Tommy Ellingworth and Andy Birkel given at least a mini-camp tryout by teams as well (they're the top 5 white WRs left in that order IMO) I also want to see "FB" Steve Korte Jr. a 6'1 225 pounder with 4.33 speed given a try out with some team. Despite "very" limited playing time playing in a deep backfield at LSU and fighting injury problems he deserves a shot based on his ridiculous H.S credentials and freak athleticism. Talk about an insane athlete!

QB Caleb Hanie, Colorado State - Bears

WR Ashton Gronewold, try out with da Bears

FS Steve Tate, Utah - Bucs

Good to see Corey McKeon got signed. Now Sam Keller should really be offered something.

its funny, the drunk white fans on the saints forum are opening up to Rocky Swartz, at first when commenting on the video they were all laughing at him saying he wasn't athletic and then they looked at his numbers and all of a sudden said "hey, this guy is good" why are people so indoctrinated to think a white player is unathletic even though they are seeing otherwise?

C Doug Legursky from Marshall to the Steelers.

I`d like to see him backup Justin Hartwig and move Sean Mahan to backup Kendall Simmons and Chris Kemoeatu at guard.

Three whites and a polynesian in the mix to man the interior O-line positions. This is the best-case scenario as I see it.

Thanks for the updates guys, I updated the first page.

I'm not really keeping track of the OL although tackle is fast becoming a caste position as well. I probably won't be posting mini camp invites much either unless the guy is a RB or a CB. We all know those camp invites are just a joke to get some warm bodies for target practice. If a guy hasn't signed a contract, he's most likely SOL.

Overall, I'd say not bad. A lot of our main guys have signed contracts which is great. Man, I really hope Woodhead sticks. So far, he's the only tailback the Jets have drafted or signed as UDFA.

Packers Add Free Agents to Draft Class
UW-Whitewater RB Justin Beaver will work out with the Packers this Saturday for a shot at a free agent contract.

Former UW kicker Kenny Debauche also signed as a free agent with the Packers. Here are a few more of Green Bay's free agent signings:

The following is from JSonline.com:
TE- Mike Peterson: agreed to a contract with the Packers as an undrafted free agent.
Peterson, who will be 26 in November, is 6-foot-2 and 247 pounds. Could play fullback and/or H-back.
A high school running back that graduated in 2001, he played baseball in junior college before quitting to go to work at a lumberyard and shipyard. He then decided to walk on at Division II Northwest Missouri State after five years away from the game. Has good athleticism but might fill more of an H-back role because of his height.
Had 38 catches for 536 yards and five touchdowns as a senior at Northwest Missouri State

LB Danny Lansanah, UConn: 6-foot and 243 pounds. Ran a 4.72 40-yard dash...After totaling 202 tackles, five sacks and six interceptions his first three seasons, had 121 tackles (14 for losses) in 13 games as a senior with two sacks and four interceptions....Known to have good instincts and is aggressive although he lacks top speed....Had a pre-draft visit with the Packers....22 years old....Packers were very interested in him because they signed him right after the draft.....Projected as an inside linebacker...All Big East first-team choice.

RB Kregg Lumpkin, Georgia: 5-foot-11.5 and 242 pounds...Ran a 4.64 in the 40 at the combine. Sat out the 2004 season after tearing the ACL in his left knee, and he missed much of his senior year because of a broken right thumb (two games) and a torn lateral meniscus and sprained posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee (four games).....Was always in a rotation or stuck behind Knowshon Moreno and Thomas Brown...Played in just six games as a senior and rushed 12 times for 44 yards after carrying 162 times for 798 yards and six touchdowns as a junior....Tough to take down but doesn't have great speed and has durability issues.

WR Taj Smith, Syracuse: 6-foot-0 3/8ths and 187 pounds. Ran a 4.58 40....Set the school record at Bakersfield Community College with 53 receptions in 2005. He enrolled at Syracuse in 2006 and had season ended after four games with a collarbone injury. Smith started all 12 games of the 2007 season finishing with 44 catches, 822 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns. Turned pro with one year of eligibility remaining...Will turn 25 in September...Has great vision and is good after the catch....Reportedly has character issues stemming from high school and junior college.

My take: I don't know why the heck the Pack had to sign a crappy unproductive, injury prone slow player like Lumpkin to a FA contract over a home-state Div. III record setter like Beaver. I could tell you "almost for a fact" from what I know about the two's credentials that Justin Beaver would be a better player in the NFL.

I almost wonder if Thompson was worried about looking foolish for "only" picking up WRs and RBs that were white. It's a sick society where you can be branded a fool or worse a racist for just being fair minded and taking a couple white WRs and a white RB in a 70% white country.

I couldn't agree more. Other then Danny Woodhead, Justin Beaver will be the next great caste buster in the NFL.

Especially in Wisconsin!! They have 5 cold games down the stretch, and the last thing you need is some cane cutter, shivering on the sideline, dreamin' of waddymelon.

Packers | Team signs Beaver
Tue, 29 Apr 2008 13:38:55 -0700

Josh Buchanan, of NFLDraftBible.com, reports the Green Bay Packers signed undrafted free-agent RB Justin Beaver (Wisconsin-Whitewater) Tuesday, April 29. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

not sure whether they actually signed him, but that's what kffl reports. also, AJ AJ Raebel is going to Vikings camp, not Packers. that was a last minute change.

Bryan Bergman a local tight end {Carthage University d3} has gotten an invite to the Browns camp. He's 6'2 248 and will most likely be an hback player.

Patriots | DeVree to workout at rookie minicamp
Tue, 29 Apr 2008 17:52:48 -0700

Mike Reiss, of the Boston Globe, citing the Longmont Daily Times-Call, reports the New England Patriots will have undrafted rookie free-agent TE Tyson DeVree, of Colorado University, in for a tryout at the team's rookie minicamp.

Lions | Gliatta signs with team
Tue, 29 Apr 2008 20:46:05 -0700

Josh Buchanan, of NFLDraftBible.com, reports the Detroit Lions have signed undrafted rookie free-agent FS Vince Gliatta (Youngstown State). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Oh where oh where is the CB Brad Mueller tryout. Brad runs a 4.28 40 yard dash. Brad would make a great CB or RB if given the chance. He was a standout RB in H.S, and then was snubbed on the recruiting trail.

Anybody that runs a 4.28 should be given a chance. That's freakish speed. But since he's white, that's just probably straight line speed and he doesn't have enough swivel in his hips.
