The Packers already got Jordy and Brett Swain. I would rather have other white wrs go to different places to have a chance instead of competing with each other for roster spots.

GB was the only team to bring Swann for a personnal workout I think, but now that they drafted to they may not sign him too, I was just speculating

the guess here is he'll get signed by the packers, I hope they also get Justin Beaver

Funny how both white WRs drafted went to the same team the Packers that is already deep there. I smell a conspiracy to keep the white WR talent off the field here...conspiracy, conspiracy...It's almost as obvious as the JFK conspiracy theories!

Yes. How about DE Chris Harrington going to Arizona when they drafted, I believe, a couple of black DE's (Calais and someone else), and they have Travis LaBoy.

I think they will cut Harrington or something, and then he can go to another team.

Anthony Russo, Washington - Seattle Seahawks.

I smell Holmgren's next mini-camp practice body/practice dummy. I have never heard of this guy and I sincerely think Holmgren and the Seahawks management have already made their mind up on his fate. I smell about two or three plays on the field in Pre-season if he is even still on the team at that point.

It could have been worse though. They could have signed Luke Swan or Todd Blythe (who have a better chance of making a team) with the sole intention of cutting them; this is Mike Holmgren we're talking about here.

We need to see Justin Beaver, Steve Korte Jr., Luke Swan and Todd Blythe go to teams that will do more than just use them as practice dummies. I also hope some team gives CBs Adam Shada and Nick Sanchez shots. CB may be even more pro-caste than RB though. I am more knowledgeable of white WRs and RBs anyway.

I`ve got to believe that Jets` fans will look more favorably on the prospect of Danny Woodhead being a real contributor for them in the coming years because they have just finished a decade with a great white WR in Wayne Chrebet, who no one took seriously til he made them with his star receiving skills.

Can you imagine teams like Blacksonville under Black Jack Del Rio giving Danny a chance? Or the Steelers under Mike Tomlin? I can`t.

If Woodhead is as good as we think he is, he`ll be a great story in NY for years to come.

From others` posts, it sure looks like the numbers game bodes well for Danny from the get-go.

Good luck, Danny!

I think the important thing to keep in mind about Rocky Schwartz is the severity of the knee injury he had a couple of years ago. From all reports I saw this year he played very well, but he has to prove he can stay healthy to an NFL team. I don`t think I would`ve risked a draft choice on him, either.

I think teams were justified in not drafting Jamie Silva because of his workout numbers. He has to prove his value at the NFL level in training camp. I think he will, but running a 4.7 to 4.8 would make me skeptical until proven otherwise, if I were an NFL personnel guy or coach.

Several others that we were rooting for who didn`t get drafted like Blythe don`t make any sense when you consider some of the black receivers who went late.

Where oh where is the Luke Swan signing? Let's get a chant going...
Caste footballers: "Swan, Swan, Swan, let's hear it!"
Drunken white fans respond: "Swan Song, Swan Song, Swan Song, let's hear it!"
Don sorry to copy you're idea, but I thought that was funny!

Update: Army FB Mike Viti signed by Buffalo, FB Rolly Lumbala signed by Miami, FB Mike Cox signed by Kansas City, DT Brian Schaefering & DE Chase Ortiz signed by Cleveland, SS Jamie Silva now officially signed by Indianapolis, TE Wade Betschart & DE Erik Bakhtiari & DT Keith Shologan (the later already mentioned by backrow) signed by San Diego. San Diego is looking pretty white friendly by NFL standards, but that's not saying much.

Luke Swan officially signed by Kansas City!

Any news on Nebraska LB McKeon (better than Ruud in my opinion) or Sam Keller? Also is Luke Lippincott available or is he still at Nevada?
