The number of white starters on the Titans went up by one when veteran Kerry Collins took over for a Vince Young who is hurting physically and who apparently can't deal with the stress of being something he's clearly not, a professional quarterback. Young is the latest of a string of incredibly overhyped black quarterbacks who can't throw any better than your grandma, and probably doesn't read defenses any better either.

The NFL's Caste System is never more obvious than in the contrived attempt to make black the most important position in football and all of sports. Close to half of I-A major college programs now start black QBs, though only Donovan McNabb and possibly David Gerrard have amounted to anything over the past decade. Why aren't colleges also going out of their way to recruit and play white running backs, white wide receivers, and white defensive players, as they are with black quarterbacks? Why are racial matters always a one-way street? It's certainly not because there's any shortage of white football players excelling in high school to choose from. For a quarter century now and counting, whites have been systematically excluded from major college teams through the recruiting process, and then those few that overcome that obstacle are filtered out a second time by the NFL.

For example, close to 25 percent of starting wide receivers in I-A in the '08 season are white (most often walk-ons rather than scholarship players), but only 5 percent are in the NFL. White receivers who excel in college are routinely found to be "not athletic enough" for an opportunity in the NFL. Even when they possess outstanding measurables and great hands they are still found to lack "big play ability" even if their college careers were filled with big plays.

Reverse the situation racially -- only whites are recruited at many positions, whites are continually hyped at quarterback over obviously better blacks, etc. -- and the Caste System is quite blatant and easy to see.

Kerry Collins, now in his 14th season, takes over for Young. Ironically, Collins was once smeared with the "racist" tag after trying too hard to be one of the boys when partying with his black receivers and nonchalantly used the "n" word in a conversation in the same way so many blacks routinely do. One of the receivers, Muhsin Muhammed, went public with the private conversation and Collins took hits for it for years.

Collins has a "cannon" arm and can put up big yards when given adequate protection.

Recently signed Chris Simms is for now the backup to Collins.

There are three white starters on the line -- fourth year man Michael Roos out of Eastern Washington at left tackle; right guard Jake Scott, signed away from the Colts during the offseason; and right tackle David Stewart out of Mississippi State.

Daniel Loper and Mike Otto are backups.

Rookie Craig Stevens out of Cal is the third tight end, signed primarily to be a blocker.

On defense, right end Kyle Vanden Bosch continues to be a beast, making his second Pro Bowl in 2007. Originally a second round draft choice by Arizona, Vanden Bosch was cast aside after some injury problems and subsequently signed as a free agent by the Titans, one of the great pickups in recent NFL history. He puts relentless pressure on the passer (31 sacks the past 3 seasons) and also stuffs the run very well.

Ryan Fowler starts at middle linebacker. He is another free agent signee (formerly with Dallas but rarely used) who has paid dividends for Tennessee.

Backup end David Ball led the nation in sacks his senior year at UCLA but has yet to get a real opportunity to play in the NFL, having been kicked around by San Diego, the New York Jets and Carolina Panthers. He's behind Vanden Bosch for now but may eventually succeed him.

Former Buffalo Bill Josh Stamer is a backup outside linebacker.

Veteran safety Donnie Nickey out of Ohio State has been a backup during his six seasons in Tennessee.

NUMBER OF WHITE STARTERS: 6

APPROXIMATE NUMBER OF WHITE PLAYERS ON 53 MAN ROSTER: 16

GRADE: F+

Can anyone verify how many whites the Titans are now starting? I thought I caught 7 during the lineup announcements.

I'm watching the Monday night game between Titans / Colts. Lendale White is such a fat ass. LOL @ anybody who says you have to have 'speed' to play RB in the NFL.

Not only can you play in the NFL, you can have 10 touchdowns by week 8. What a joke! If Jacob Hester was given the same opportunity as this fat turd, he would have similar TD totals with a better yard per carry average.

The Titans have to be the least impressive 8-0 team in NFL history. They have arguably the worst skill position players in the league; look at their ridiculous receiving corps. It's awful, even by modern NFL standards. Chris Johnson seemed to be, like last year's highly touted rookie RB, Chris Henry, another combine wonder who would not be an every down back. He has looked impressive, but fat turd Lendale White is a complete joke in the backfield. Kerry Collins was never that impressive, but at his advanced age he is even less impressive. Believe it or not, this undefeated team has yet to pass for 200 yards in a game this season.

Maybe Vince Young will eventually return to the lineup and receive all the credit for their success.

"Maybe Vince Young will eventually return to the lineup and receive all the credit for their success."

Stangely enough, I think that even the media sees the truth about Vince Young. Not only are his QB skills very poor, he's also a mental-wimp. Even little ESPN jock-boys like Merrill Hodge have publicaly called Young a "Wuss" and a "Big Crybaby." Hodge even said that Jeff Fisher pleaded to ownership not to draft Young. For the first time, Hodge is right.

If you notice, the powers-that-be rarely mention Young anymore...I think they're a little embarressed by their years of undeserved praise and gushing about this guy, all of which were in vein. Dont worry, if Young simply fades away...he'll NEVER be mentioned as an all time draft bust at QB (that's only reserved for white QBs like Ryan Leaf and Heath Shuler).

You're right, Kerry Collins is not that great either...can you imagine how good the Titans might be had they kept legit prospects like Volek and Bennett? Or drafted Matt Leinart instead of Young?Edited by: Thrashen

I'm not sold on the Titans yet either. They seem to be the beneficiariesof the near-collapse of the AFC's powers. New England, Indianapolis, San Diego and Jacksonville are all struggling. If the Steelers lose tonight to Washington, every team in the AFC besides Tennessee will have at least three losses. The two strongest divisions are both in the NFC -- the South and the East. The AFC is weak so far. The Titans are a team on the rise, especially with a real albeit average at best quarterback at the helm, but I would compare them more to the Jaguars of the past few years rather than a Super Bowl favorite.

Man do I feel stupid saying even before this season began that I thought Vince Young might turn into a star! Kerry Collins has done an even better job at "just winning games" than Young. I guess it's an overrated skill. Young may very well start again in a couple seasons, but with his feeble mental makeup, I doubt he will ever even be an average QB. We shall see, but I am predicting bust all the way, but he will never be mentioned up there with Ryan Leaf and Cade McNown. The good old NFL.

The Titans should have drafted Jay Cutler in 2006 than Jordy Nelson last year and Danny Woodhead in the 7th round to complement Chris Johnson. Then they'd be a true power-house! Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

Honestly man, what did you see in Young that made you think something like that in the first place?

Shogun it was merely one game, the BCS championship game a few years ago. Vince took over the game and got Texas the win. I thought from that clutch performance where he showed running as well as passing skills under the huge spotlight that Vince would turn into another Donovon McNabb. I turned out to be wrong, what can I say?

Tough J i understandyour reasoning. I too think Young has some awesome tools. His downfall is a lack of mental toughness not to mention an awful throwing motion, both extremely important for an NFL qb. He can now join Eric Crouch who everyone loves to hate as a great college and system qb

from rotoworld:

Titans promoted CB Tuff Harris from their practice squad.

Harris will add depth behind Chris Carr, who is expected to start at corner against the Jets.

now after having only Steve Gregory we might see another two white cornerbacks in one week!

Alright Tuff! Its about time one of those men got a legit chance on a team. Here's to hoping he stays on the depth chart for a long time!

Here's what Fat Boy said after the Titans first loss and Jeff Fisher's typical wimpy response:

[LenDale] White played just three downs against the Jets and came away from the game angry. White said. "You would like to win it, but it is one game, so what? I only played three plays so I really couldn't tell you what happened, I don't really know, I wasn't paying attention, I didn't care really.'' White further commented, "I would like to be involved more, but if I am not involved I would like somebody to tell me what's going on. Coming into these games, you expect to get certain carries or see certain things going on at least that's what they tell you." Head coach Jeff Fisher commented on White's remarks in his Monday press conference. He said, "I'm a little disappointed that he expressed himself, which they're entitled to do, at the frustration and the loss and those things, before he came to me. He came to me after he visited with you people and we got things settled and we moved on."

Lendale "slower than Colonel Reb" White is pathetic, and so is Jeff Fisher.

That big breasted tub-of-dough wouldnt have even made a big time high school roster if he were white, let alone USC, let alone a high draft pick.

You have to remember, this is the same wimpy, arrogant little twerp that spit in the face of his own teammate during practice....white DB Donnie Nickey. Yes, the same guy who also got into a fist fight with the empty-headed, fallen messiah, Vince Young.

FatDale is Jerome Bettis minus the size, speed, quickness, strength, agility, and brain power....which isnt saying too much, as Bettis had very few of these qualities himself.

These two flabby bums are proof positive that nearly anyone with high-school athleticism can "make it" as long as they have that magical skin color.

I'm not surprised he couldn't tell what was happening in the game, considering that he, and 90% of the rest of the players like him, didn't know that a game could end in a tie before last weekend, either.

I'm sure LenDale is 100% committed to winning, and that his comments emanated from his frustration about losing the game. I know this because LenDale always keeps himself in shape and ready to play, he plays hard every game, and supports all of his teammates both on the field and off.

Yeah you are probably right Shogun. I could kick myself for criticizing him like I did.
