Whats even worse he has lost the backup RB role to antonio "2.7 ypc" pittman and is blocking fpr this thug
smiley7.gif

Huh?  He's a thug because he supplanted Leonard as the #2 tailback?  He was the feature back at O-State, and logged 2,500 yards in last 2 seasons.  When Leonard ran the rock at Rutgers, he had marginal stats before losing his job to an explosive 18 year old true freshman.  Then he was a glorified blocker for 3 years.

Pittman also threw down a 4.40 at the combine, and with the exception of the bench press, had superior measurables across the board.  It didn't surprise me at all when the Rams snatched him up, and installed him.  Despite the fact that Superman wears Brian Leonard underwear, and that that Boogie Man's afraid that Brian Leonard's in HIS closet, and that Jack Bauer is Brian Leonard's b*tch, he's only had 2 good carries all year.

Anyway, true Ram fans are happy that they're one Frerotte botched snap from a 4 game winning streak after starting 0-8.  Professional sports is very superstitious arena.  They're not gonna revert to an 0 and 8 back when their new 1-2 tailback punch is a fumble away from being 4-0.  If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
So what Pitman ran a 4.4. Leonard ran a 4.49 and he's biger and stonger.Well dumb $$ Pitman's measurables were also better than Peterson and Lynch but you know what so were Leonards except for the forty. But when you are a 2nd round pick instead of a 4th like Pitman you should get the chance first or you have 1 dumb scouting dept.

If you actually beleive that Mike Hass and David Ball can't start or even play in the NFL, then like 95% of NFL "fans," YOU'RE DREAMING. If you believe that, I'm 100% positive you've never seen either of these phenoms play in college, where they were men among boys....boys who were drafted ahead of them (I wonder why?).

I don'trecall ever saying they couldn't play in the NFL. Ifthe Bears didn't see potential in them, they would have never wastedmoney signingthem, and wasted time playing them on their practice squads. I can't evaluate them as receivers against NFL quality defensive talent because I don't watch them on a daily basis as does the entire braintrust of the Bears organization.

Matt Jones,Wendling, Sabby, Gonzo, Weddle,Olsen, et al had NO PROBLEM getting drafted, and onto the field. If Jordy Nelson puts up a decent time at the combine, he'll be drafted too. They're white, I believe.

PS - How does it make you feel every time Brian Leonard (who you actually hate for some reason) leaps over one of your precious "athletes?"

What makes you think I hate Brian Leonard? I don't love or hate any athlete.

wow! it was an easy touchdown, and he completely dropped it. right after that, the announcer said that Chicago leads the league in dropped passes... i'm supposed to believe that neither Mike Hass nor David Ball were good enough to see the field? give me a break.
smiley7.gif

Chicago has a pass happy offense.  They have 391 pass attempts, and 32 drops.  They're willing to sacrifice 8% of their passes being dropped by current their receivers, than 8% of their passes being dropped by anyone else.. especially untested practice squad players.

Oh Please, quit trying to sound like you know what you are talking about with the Bears. Mike Hass and David Ball stood out in camp precisely because they didn't drop passes and ran exceptional routes. They play Muhsin Muhammad because because Lovie Smith says he is a team leader in the lockerroom. Moose is washed up and may have the worst hands of any possession WR in the league. He has 4 dropped passes all to himself and has accounted for about 3 Int's all by himslef simply by giving up on plays. In fact the only legitimate WR starter the Bears even have on the field is Berrian who is a not so speedy deepthreat that played better in the slot. Your logic of saying that the Bears don't want to use untested players doesn't hold water. They trot out Devin Hester who has some of the worst hands on the team, did not start at WR in college and is basically trying to learn the position as he goes along in the NFL. They also continue to trot out Bradley who CAN'T EVEN RUN HIS ROUTES! and has been criticized for not having his head in the game. Bradley has been a walking mash unit for his whole career and has actually regressed in the offense this season, if that is even possible for him as most of his career he has been a non factor. Both of those guys are unproven commodities yet they get a look every now and again, but the guy with the best hands on the entire corps NEVER GETS A LOOK!!

BTW did anyone else completely fall out of their seat laughing when TT said the Rams have a 1-2 punch at Tailback. Which punch is Pittman and his 4 carries for 11 yards?
smiley36.gif
Is he the guy that punches the opponent when they are already down and out and then acts like he is billy bad ass? You take out his one run of 43 yards this season and he is averaging 1.8 yards per carry. Can we say TT has the Magic Negro sydrome? I think we can.Edited by: Bear Backer

Texas Tech, you obviously know less than nothing about the Bears, Rams, or the NFL in general. You contribute nothing to this site accept starting arguments with guys who actually know facts about the NFL and it's players.

Dude, we don't care if you can repeat your little "facts" you hear from the "experts." Trust me, nobody here is impressed or believes what any of those losers (or you) have to say.

I'm not sure if you know this, but the goal of this site is to DESTROY the thoughtless arguments of clueless white fans such as yourself.

Right now it's somewhat understandable that Pittman's playnig since he had a decent performance not too long ago. But if his production drops (like it has been), so should he, just like what happened to Leonard and either Leonard or another back should supplant him.

Like I said before. Teams are very superstitious. They tend not tomake changes when they're winning.

Don't forget he has the best hands on the team, maybet the league, so he won't add to that 8% drop rate you mentioned. Biletnikoff award winners have always shown they can be productive NFL players, if not superstars.

If he hasn't played a snap, you don't know how good or bad his hands are. Calvin Johnson had great hands in college and practice. In actual games, he hasn't.

I wouldn't call 18th in the league for pass attempts "pass happy." Do the math. 32 teams. 18th. That means more than half the NFL teams pass more than the Bears. Plus, no team EVER wants drops, regardless of how many times you throw the ball. Next time you come here and argue, at least make halfway decent arguments.

Sorry, but I've done the math. When 9 other teams have more passing attempts, you're 10th in the league in attempts. The Redskins are 18th.

I never said teams "want" dropped passes. Pitchers don't want walks or wild pitches. Batters don't want to strike out. Basketball players don't want bricked shots. However, being that athletes are human, and not robots, wild pitches, strikeouts, bricked shots, and drops are a part of their respective games.Coaches use a risk/reward ratio to evaluate whether each particular player's positives are worth absorbing their negatives (dropped passes, fumbles, etc).

These 6 guys are the NFL Leaders in Passes Dropped through Thursday. Coaches feel what they bring to the table far outweighs the negatives of 8droppedpasses. It's a lost down, not a turnover, or lost points. They're not the end of the world as we know it. Yea, lets cut TO and Braylon Edwards because of 8 lost downs.. even though they stretch the field, and will make it up on the very next play.

Alex Rodriguez, Prince Fielder, Ryan Howard, Carlos Pena, and Adam Dunn had 747 strikeouts between them. Thoseouts were a small price to pay for theirin consideration of their 237 home runs. That's how it works.

The problem with the Bears is that their receivers drop passes AND are not
productive. MIke Hass has had great hands in pre-season and practice
against NFL defensive players. He should be seeing the field. There's no
excuse given the crap receivers the Bears are playing.

Using your rule of thumb, if they aren't winning, its time for some personnel
changes. You should really be consistent with your arguments.Edited by: PitBull

Hey, now that the Bears just lost another game and are out of the playoff
race, it should be time to see who to trade and what they got in the tank. If
Hass sees no playing time after this loss, where the leading receivers for the
Bears were the running back and tight end, and the season is over, what are
people supposed to conclude?

Musim Muhammad should be working at a car wash. Edited by: PitBull

psychosid,

Let's not be looking to ban people for what they think. Even trolls can be turned around. There's no way we're going to be turned around from our beliefs, so let's let everybody have their say, even people we know to be flaming liberals. If we ban them, we're the same as them and we don't want anybody to think that, do we?

It had to be their lack of running game. Their receivers have dropped only 8% of the passes thrown their way, so it couldn't be that.

No, we're not the same as they are. There are posting guidelines and trolls violate these regularly, which is why they are banned.

You don't have the right to free speech in my house, and trolls do not have a right to free speech on a forum owned and operated by someone else.

That is the truth of it right there and no one can dispute those facts. Not even TT, though I am sure he will try. The Bears widerecievers are horrible and they are indefensible, so is Coach Lovie Smith's decision to keep trotting out guys who drop passes when the team is losing and Mike Hass hasn't even been given a CHANCE to show if he could make a difference or not.Edited by: Bear Backer

You make it sound like these guys are getting a ton of playing time and starts, and that we should be glad that they are. Here are the participation stats for those guys this year.

Matt Jones-has no starts this year and only played in 8 games with 12 catches.
John Wendling-has started no games and played sparingly in 10 games.
Sabby-has played in a whopping 3 games this year, starting in none.
Gonzalez-has started 6 games and played in 10 this year.
Eric Weddle-has played in 11 games, but hasn't started any.
Greg Olsen-has played in just 9 games and only started 3

A fair shot? I don't think so.Edited by: Colonel_Reb

That kind of thing is really bad here in Bears Land. Everyone is quick to start throwing out insults to fans who support white players over affletes other than QB and Brian Urlacher. Earlier in the year I posted about how the Bears had bad WR's and needed to get Mike Hass and Ball on the field. One of the replies I got was "Well Well, what a surprise another racist cracker." So I reported the post and replied back: "Oh is that so? supporting White Players is now racist?" I got warned and had my posting privledged removed for a while because I had brought race into a topic which is a violation of the rules.
smiley5.gif
The other poster was able to keep right on posting. That's what we are up against in Bears Land.

Racial slurs are common place terms on Cubs and Bears message boards, and the moderators don't care as long as they are slurs against white people. A couple of years ago there was even some dork on the Cubs message boards who was calling everyone Hee Haw Haole, (which is an insult in Hawaiian to whites) and saying how all Haole's were dumb. Imagine what would happen if the roles were reversed.

There was even a sizeable group at the start of the season that wanted Hunter Hillenmeyer replaced with Jamar Williams who looks like a slow footed slug on the field. That just shows how idiotic they are because Hunter is really the glue of the linebacker corps. Urlacher may be the defensive leader, but Hunter is the smartest player on the entire defense. It took Urlacher a good 4 years or so to really learn his position, and if not for his exceptional athletic ability would not have been as successful as he has been. Hunter has always known his position and is always involved in plays despite not having the athletic ability of Urlacher. Hunter doesn't make the dumb emotional mistakes that Urlacher does from time to time either. Like "Cough Cough" Kicking the ball and getting called for unsportsmanlike conduct.

And yes I almost had to giggle when Hester Dropped that pass. The hype that this guy gets is unbelievable, and yet he has some of the worst hands I have ever seen. I literally cringe sometimes when he returns kicks, because you never know if he is going to return it for a touchdown or muff it and give the kicking team the ball deep in our own territory.

Given all that Bear Backer, I am curious as to why you are still a Bears backer.

I agree with you about free speech in the home Shogun, and about banning trolls. Texas Tech does smell quite a bit, but he does help us refine and strengthen our position, at least thats my opinion.

Don't ban him. As for the Bears it could be that Lovie is in a Brother trap. To activate Hass might set off some racial tremors on his team that he knows about, especially if he has to sit one of the average receivers he has on the active roster. BB mentioned it on a board without racial overtones and imediately he was jumped on, who says its not the same way in the locker room. Ball seen the light and bolted when he didn't have to, and while racial protocal is for whites to act like this does not happen Ball might have seen this scenario and knew that staying was a career killer.

I say ban him. Its a pro-white site. He gets good arguments and then melts
down into name-calling. He violates the guidelines all the time. He's been
banned under other names before (Detroit Lions, etc). He won't argue and
let it go at that.

I was raised a Bears fan and we do have some really good fans. It just seems like the Bears message board really attracts the nuts, the immature fans who always want to play the QB hop or want to worship some new black afflete from the draft. I also figure that a sizeable number of new posters in a year are bandwagon fans, or those who follow their favorite athlete from their college team and usually are more strong in wanting to see those guys play than someone else who more rightfully deserves it. We got alot of Grossman Gator backers, Sooner fans with Bradley, Longhorn fans with Benson and they don't want to see those guys lose playing time to anyone. Most of the Bears fans I associate with are pretty good guys who just want to win. Most of them realize the value that Hillenmeyer is to our team and see that Hass has some talent and would like to see him get on the field at some point. Hopefully now that we have 7 losses he will start to get some looks, because our season is all but done. Realistically it was done a long time ago because we have too many holes and needs to be a real contender.
