Just bringing a little optimism (I should change my name to Paula Ann lol). I count 18 white WRs in the NFL on opening rosters. That means if you average it out, more teams have a white WR than not. Does anyone remember how many white WRs there were last season? Wasn't it 14 or 16 or something like that? I think we are very slowly making progress at WR. Also, next year is "the year of the white WR" and we should eclipse 20 white wideouts in the league next year.

I should also report- there are 4 white tailbacks who should get to touch the ball at least a handful of times this season. Two are technically "FBs", but in name only.

Woodhead and Hester are unlikely to reach even 50 carries this season, but I think Hillis and Leonard have an outside shot of eclipsing 100 carries. BTW, the Packers and Saints also have some very athletic white FBs.

Small steps gentlemen. As college has had an upswing of white offensive skill players, so should the NFL- albeit slowly.

Colts: Gonzalez (number 2) and Collie (number 3)

Packers: Nelson (number 3) and Swain (number 5?)

Texans: Walter (number 2) and Anderson (number 3)

Dolphins: Hartline (number 2) and Camarillo (number 3-4)

Patriots: Welker (number 2) and Edelman (number 4-5)

Eagles: Curtis (number 2)

Falcons: Brian Finneran (3-4)

Raiders: Nick Miller (no idea, this is the Raiders and they have 7 receivers)

Cardinals: Jerheme Urban (number 3), Lance Long (number 4-6), i assume Sean Morey is last on the receiver depth chart and will focus on STs

Broncos: Stokley (number 3)

am i missing anyone here?

no worries. all this obviously fluctuates, and we may soon see Matt Jones again, all it takes is a few injuries and then teams will have no choice but to go to the best FA on the market. i am hoping for Jordy's breakout season but agaon, barring injuries it will be tough.

is Mike Furrey really their number 2? can Browns be that smart?

When will a team have the balls to actually name a white WR as their #1? Without any injury to affletes. I believe Curtis was #1 last year, but I see a memo must have been sent and he is now #2 to the undeniable future star - DeSean Jackson. LOL.

backrow,

Edelman made the team (Patriots)?

Tom Iron...

yes, and according to different sources on top of returning kicks he may be seeing some time in 4 receiver sets as well.
let's face it, Greg Lewis and Joey Galloway are not going to get through the season healthy.Edited by: backrow

Every single year they take one white quarterback and put him as receiver or safety. It is getting obvious. Before we had Scott Frost, Matt Jones, Drew Bennett, and Eric Crouch. At least Edelman will be playing one of the positions we need more whites at.

green fire, I think Breaston is hurt right now, so Urban is ahead of him. Good to see slow, (but sure,) progress white WRs are making in the NFL.Edited by: Jack Lambert
