Rice commits. Peterson is a 6'2, 205-lb WR/S/ATH who runs a 4.51/40 and will be used like James Casey was over the last few years. Gautreaux is a 6'1 WR out of Texas who runs a sub 4.5 and chose Rice over Navy, Army, and Wyoming.

Can you cite one reputable source which actually claims Lane will be drafted as a tailback? If you actually think that you're crazy. Easy on the exaggerations.
I really suggest checking out this young man's highlight film if you get a chance. He has outstanding quickness and really surprising power for his 5'8 frame.
Rice's top running backs (outside of Clement and Casey) are both redshirt juniors. That means McGuffie - provided he does well in the spring - has a very good chance to be the top guy in 2010.
ESPN.com blogger Brian Bennett had this to say about Brock Bolen recently:
9. Brock Bolen, Louisville: Often mislabeled as merely a fullback, the sturdy Bolen has speed and athleticism, as any defender he's ever hurdled can tell you. The thunder to Anderson's lightning this year, Bolen has...
He's also returned punts from time to time this year. Quite a vote of confidence in his athletic ability considering the team has a playmaker like Jarvis on the roster AND Edelman's started at QB.
Sanzenbacher is a guy who I think will have a big year next year. If you've ever seen tOSU play this year it seems as though Pryor looks for Sanzenbacher when plays break down. Must be the "backup" chemistry coming in from the summer.
Not to discount Sam's playing time "issues," but it seems highly presumptuous to name his "depression"- clinical or otherwise- on the issue of race. After all he's hundreds of miles away from his family and friends and just experienced a death in his family. Give the kid some respect before...
There is a rumor right now that McGuffie is leaving Michigan/already left with the intent to transfer. From what I heard it is fairly reliable info, but still in the "rumor" stage:

Great article on Sharp
On the point of 40 times it's dead on. I'm close to another FBS program and there is only one player on that team's roster currently who runs under a 4.4. Edited by: Mike
McGuffie is UM's guy. Here's what Fred Jackson had to say about him after the game:
"When you feel like you're dying, that's tough. He got the wind knocked out of him, and he bounced up a play later and said, 'Coach, I'm ready.' I wish I had a lot of McGuffies. He's one great, tough, athletic...
McGuffie is not at all injured, and he's in fact being projected on the two deep at multiple positions for Week 1. What Michigan fans are concerned about is a recent video that shows him looking very annoyed during a Q&A with reporters and admitting that he was "homesick."

Both are Scout.com 3 Star Players
Greg Shinego is hurt right now. Jarod Bryant would have been the other slotback, but QB Kaipo-Noa is hurt so Jarod has moved back to QB this week. When Kaipo comes back (unknown) Jarod will go back to slotback. Corey Finnerty is now getting reps with the first team at SB.
