    Rick Reilly bolts SI

The star writer for SI has left SI for ESPN magazine etc.. I guess he will get more money and airtime. Reilly has been an important cog to SI for the longest time. His work has fallen the past couple of years but it is still a surprise. I think they will plug in former ESPN player Dan Patrick...

    Colin McCarthy

Sometimes white guys on teams like Miami or Florida State get lost in the shuffle but like Dan Morgan, McCarthy is quickly becoming one of the best linebackers in the country. Excellent speed he looks like an NFL first rounder. Only a sophmore he scored winning TD vs. Bowden's boys on a fumble...

    RB - Sam McGuffie

Maybe because of the injury he looked quick but his speed was probably not up to snuff. He doesn't run low enough but if used properly ala Bush from USC he should be fine at the big time college level. Get him into space where he can utilize his moves and quick feet.

    2007 Midseason All White Team

Nice list Jared. I would quibble with a few picks I know you didn't set them in stone.--Criddle, Buchanan of BYU over Shada who is ok but not great. I note you like Criddle too. Also DE Auston English out of OK is my easy pick. Super athlete. And LB's there is room for discussion. I like Connor...

Jones to plead guilt to roid abuse!

Some of these posts are making me laugh ie the one above by KP. The general media is at least giving coverage to (the what we already knew story) but the press has been sort of scant. Dick Patrick from USA Today, a rather brainless highlight newspaper gave it scant business. But lo and behold...

    2007 CF problem

Not a great year for the young or sort of young rising white centerfielders. Chris Duffy who has missed most of the season will likely be let go by Pirates who never seemed to like him in the first place. Duffy plays great defense and has lots of speed. They have been auditioning a black player...

    2007 Iowa Hawkeyes

He had been weirdly underused so far this year and then the injury. What a bad year for Brodell perhaps my favorite college player around today. Usually a player can completely recover from a hamstring tear so lets hope he has a standout senior season and becomes an NFL starter.

    2007 Oklahoma Sooners

Jesse Meyer of Tulsa had a good game last night and is another soph receiver to keep an eye on. As for Oklahoma they are very depressingly black. Only Ryan Reynolds a solid looking LB sticks out. But the brightest spot on the team is DE Auston English A former RB in High School he is only a...

    Draftdaddy soph wr’s

Not a bad list of rising sophmore wr's. NFL we hope. Brian Hartline Eric Decker Austin Collie Brad Kanuch Ryan Wolfe Shawn Leonard Chrid McGaha Riley Cooper They compare Cooper to Chipper Jones albeit Chipper was a SS and Cooper is an OF. Leonard is at Rhode Island. Any other names...

    Steve Sailer on "Athletic"

Well sos if you ask me. He thinks 100% black CB rate is too high which is a duh. 95% black sounds reasonable to him. Then goes on to compare blacks with gazelles and whites to elephants. Sailer is on my no go list and remains an enemy.

McNabb: "Black QBs under more pressure"

I posted in wrong section before. This crap is just like the "not enough blacks in baseball" mantra we have had to endure. It is a passive-aggressive ploy of a schoolyard bully. Don makes a good point. McNabb comes across as a pampered pussy. We can't walk in "His" shoes the media points out...

    Black QB’s showcased on MNF

McNabb is way off--playing the passive-aggressive game that reeks of the whole "not enough blacks are in MLB" crap we have had to endure this year. I don't have an instant distaste for black QB's per say. I would prefer a trade off for more white wide receivers. But his rant was misplaced...

    The "Ice Bowl"

Two obvious covers that SI let slide this year. Sidney Crosby--a no brainer since he is the best young athlete--sorry Lebron--in USA pro team sports today. Another missed oppurtunity is a cover story on the love affair between the city of Buffalo and the Sabres. Hockey is dead right? Try...

    An observation of recent posts.....

It is amazing to me that so many feel blacks are faster etc. based on a very brief time in human history-roughly 30 to 40 years. Wise men make it a point not to jump to conclusions based on sketchy facts and given the cultural/sociological strata that has surrounded sports over the past several...

    An observation of recent posts.....

I stand with WL on these matters. And I will cut to the chase. This "slightly better" advantage by blacks????--well one glaring example of many.. The white men and women SWEPT the high jump in the last Olympics(2004). Translation--the greatest leapers in the world are white. Again the high jump...

    Soutlake Carroll is number one

I jsut saw a couple of snippets from the game but one play where NW scored on a pass there was a Southlake Carroll defender gaining ground like mad on the receiver. So I noted the number(#23) and lo and behold it is Luke Anderson who ran a blistering 4.3 during the summer. Guy is NOT being...

    US Open 2007

SI is aiming for the "dullards who need to ne constantly amused and distracted." These aren't true blue sports fans per say and SI over the past several years has gone the hack/entertainment/flavor of the month route. When Maria made the cover in 2004 I thought they were getting their act...

    Michael Willey

Out of Miamisburg high in Ohio this 300 meter hurdle champ is being looked at by colleges in track and football. Hope he goes football because college track is hidden from the mainstream media. Runs a 4.37 40 and is 6-1 173. Basically a CB but position is a question. Akron? Guy is a top flight...

    US Open 2007

Let me add that Henin who has now won 7 Grand Slams and been the best women's player for 4 years has never been mentioned at all on the cover. Not even one of those insulting mini pictures--see Federer above--.But I don't want to throw off the SI white bitch Editor off his? perch. As I write...

    US Open 2007

SI does it again. Randy Moss is on the cover. Federer shares small pictures with Tiger Woods and Alex Rodriguez. Makes no sense to me. This habit of squeezing in Woods (and now Rodriguez?) whenever Federer reaches another huge milestone is ridiculous and only serves the purpose of drawing...

Blanka Vlasic -- Stilts for Legs

AweSome. We all realize that the women's high jump and pole vault have an added attraction-skimpy outfits and well you get my drift. Yes this video is an example of leaping ability explosiveness in the purest and rawest form. And three white gals SWEPT the medals at this years WC's. Now if you...

    US Open 2007

What a great ending to the US Open. We can celebrate. Henin chops down not one but both of those arrogant W sisters and wins the title her 7th GS and most impressive. To beat the sister act it helps to be athletic--ie(Henin, Jankovic, Clijsters-semi retired, Mauresmo-injured). But the real...

    Sean Carey?

Just like me to answer my own question. Good news he is white. Somehow found it like a detective after failing on previos attempts.. A big time sleeper who could emerge due to incredible athleticism!

    Sean Carey?

He is class of 2009 from Bountiful High School in Utah. Same school as Ben Aird. Is he totally white? Cannot find picture of him. Thanks
