    The Best Postseason Running Backs

John Riggins was admitted to the HOF in 1992, his second year of eligibility. Terrell Davis has been eligible since 2007 and hasn't come close. Because the league has been heavily blackened since 1985, white HOF candidates, except for an occasional QB, are going to be rare. There won't be that...

    The Best Postseason Running Backs

Thanks for the comment. Perhaps I should explain what I try to do in my posts on historical topics. There are two ways of looking at history. One, is to be a partisan. Two, is to look at both sides of the issue. While I am pro-white athlete, I look at both sides. If I think Davis' playoff...

    The Best Postseason Running Backs

I apologize. No offense intented. It is harder to gain yardage during the playoffs. Barry Sanders, for example, did a lot less in playoff games than during the regular season. My interest in Davis concerns his being unable (so far) to get in the HOF.

    The Best Postseason Running Backs

Didn't Riggins have the "Hogs" blocking for him? Gibbs also placed him deep in the I formation. Elway didn't play on a Super Bowl winner until he had Davis with him. He had played in three losing Super Bowl in the 1980's. We should remember that nobody ever wins a Super Bowl by himself.

    The Best Postseason Running Backs

How do you put Riggins over Davis? Riggins had six 100 yard games out of nine. Davis had seven out of eight. Riggins' team was 1-1 in Super Bowls (and Riggins was 26-64 in the one he lost), Davis' 2-0. Riggins averaged 4 yards a carry, Davis 5.6, on total yardage respectively 996 for Riggins and...

    The Best Postseason Running Backs

I found this article (http://www.sports-central.org/sports/2011/03/22/the_best_postseason_running_backs.php) a few days ago. The writer names eight runners. Steve Van Buren is the only one from pre-Super Bowl times. The others were Super Bowl MVPs. The players are listed in chronological order...

    HOF Snubs Jerry Kramer Again

So what? If rushing yardage alone was the criteria, Doak Walker and Paul Hornung would not be in the HOF.

    2012 NFL Preseason

Dierdorf and Theisman are both about 63 years old. Did you have ex-player commentators over 60 doing NFL games in the 1970's? Not that I recall. Can you picture men who played in the 1930's still doing games in the 1970's? Now you have Seventies players still on TV in 2012. Lately I've been...

    Steve Van Buren

There are many generous tributes to Steve Van Buren today. In this (http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/article-1/Reid-Van-Buren-Ahead-Of-His-Time/d7021275-91c7-4647-b503-68300e68a14e) one, current Eagle coach Andy Reid, not exactly a favorite at this Forum, said among other things: "He was...

    HOF Snubs Jerry Kramer Again

Where has Chuck Foreman been lobbied for? Counting receiving yards Foreman's totals are somewhat higher than Willard's and he was a bigger part of his team's offense. On the other hand. letting Floyd Little in has caused people to champion Larry Brown and other running backs with similar numbers.

    HOF Snubs Jerry Kramer Again

OK Jaxvid, I'm ready to make a negative comment about Bigunreal's post. Jerry Smith is not a hall of famer. Dave Robinson was considered a very good LB, but until now I didn't see him mentioned a a hall of famer at the PFRA Forum, several members of which are close to the selectors. In news...

    HOF Snubs Jerry Kramer Again

The Pro Football Hall of Fame Seniors Comittee today nominated Curley Culp and Dave Robinson. They will be considered with other nominees for induction in the final vote before next year's Super Bowl. The big surprise was the rejection of famed Packer OG Jerry Kramer. He is best known for...

They never do explain it. Regarding Lemaitre, he didn't run as well as he had in previous years.

Yes, it spread to white athletes a long time ago. They think it will help them to "belong." The late Pat Tillman often put on a buffoon act when with the Arizona Cardinals. Jim McMahon and Brian Bosworth did so in the 1980's.

    2012 London Olympics

Some years ago I saw an ESPN Sportcentury episode on Bruce Jenner. At one point he said something like "Well, I'm a celebrity. That's something of a joke." Later he acknowledged his mother was very upset with the nose job and said "It's something I thought I'd just do." Jenner didn't seem lke...

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

Bobby Morrow won both the 100 and 200 meters in the 1956 Olympics, age 21. Morrow tried out for the team in 1960 but at age 25, his legs were dead.

    2012 London Olympics

I recall years ago the aggressive coverage of US female olympians by the MSM had the always stupid American general public (those who weren't watching on TV) thinking women were beating men in direct competition. I read this in one of the establishment conservative magazines.

    2012 Dallas Cowboys

I forgot about Mike Renfro. He played 10 years in the NFL (1978-87), the last four with Dallas. Renfro had 60 receptions in 1985 and 46 in 1987. Mike was the son of Ray Renfro, a famous WR with the Cleveland Browns 1962-63. Ray Renfro was one of the fastest players in pro football during the...

    2012 Dallas Cowboys

The last white WR to get much playing time for the Cowboys was probably Doug Donley, who caught 32 passes for Dallas in 1984, which was his last year in the league. I seem to recall he had to retire because of injury. Does anyone know more about Donley?
