High Schoolers

He was running into a crosswind or 3/4 headon, the flags and starter pistols smoke indicate this, the wind was not behind him.

Okay!! Here is something to take note of...
Keegan Hicks of Texas, ran his first ever 100m in 10.14 seconds!!
No wind indicated, but even if wind aided, it's a great time. And even greater considering it's first 100m ever.
More here:

We track fans also have to hope that both Keegan Hicks and Gatlin Bair eventually give up football or we will lose these guys to the nfl. If
you look at how they treated other of our guys, these two young men should stick with track! Easier on your body as you get older too.

Andrew Jones of Texas just ran a Texas State record, and the third fastest 300m Hurdles OF ALL TIME… in his 1st race of the season!!!

Another video of Keegan HIcks opening his season with a 10.14 100 meters.

Highschool Senior Wyatt Lee of Canada running a new personal best of 6.66 to win the bronze medal in the 60m Canadian national championships. He is either still 17 or possibly a young 18. Silver went to 24 year old Niko Dowhos who ran a 6.65 which equaled his personal best set last year. Nice to see 2 white Canadians medal in the short sprints for Canada. Lee has a personal best of 10.34 in the 100m so it would be really nice to see him get that down into the 10.1’s this year. Here’s the vid from Lee’s YouTube:

Jones won the 110m hurdles at the Bluebonnet Invitational today in a windy (2.8w) 13.11.
He also won the 300m hurdles in a PB of 34.94.
I believe that is the 2nd fastest HS time ever, behind Vance Nilsson, who set the record of 34.83 in 2024, and is currently at the University of Florida.

In the heats, Jones ran an all-conditions high school record of 13.01 (6,2w) in the boys 110m hurdles.
He is definitely a star in the making.
