Black QBs in the NFL

I mentioned in previous posts how it's, pretty much, first round or bust for current White quarterback's. With the exception of Brock Purdy, gone are the days that White undrafted or latter round quarterback's can expect to be entrenched starters. It's even an uphill climb for White quarterback's drafted in rounds 2 or 3. At least, it seems that way in recent years.

Besides Purdy, I forgot to mention Will Levis got a chance to start early. He was actually 33rd overall (1st pick round 2). Recently, I've noticed the media and DWF's have started the debate of who's better: Will Levis vs. Cam Ward? ****

Here's a conversation with a respected, veteran NFL writer who claims not only was Will Levis better early, but mentions how the fans and media "crucified" Levis, but have been very soft with Ward. :sisigay:

Here is A.I.'s take (reflecting DWF comments?)

**** Keep in mind Levis played most of the 2024 season with a busted shoulder (AC Joint) that needed season ending (2025) surgery to repair.
Pffft, Levis is a slow white statue. Cam Ward is a supa-afflete who has unlimited, amazing and mouth-watering upside. I can't believe that you can't see it the way the frothing-at-the-mount DWF's do!! ;)

I get your point FD, Ward is a dynamic athlete and has that "mouth-watering" upside, even if he was a "zero star" recruit and his pre-NFL 40 time was reportedly 4.87 :afro:

It's not only Levis, remember how Syracuse's black head coach repeatedly claimed Kyle McCord was better than Ward?

Here's a great quote from the article, relating to Mel Kosher Jr.
Despite how McCord stacks up statistically from his senior season, NFL draft experts don’t consider him among the top passers. ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. has Ward as the second-best quarterback behind Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders :risas3::risas3::risas3:
McCord comes in at No. 6 in those rankings behind Alabama’s Jalen Milroe, Ohio State’s Will Howard and Ole MissJaxson Dart (#5???)

McCord (6th round), by the way, is currently relegated to the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad. He's inches away from being totally out the league, while Ward starts from day1.

*not counting Dolphins over Jets, as Taylor started not Cook. However that was the closest a non-White QB came to a win over a White QB.
**counting Titians over Chiefs since Minshew started, however he was hurt and a black played the balance.

One more week, but so far only week 8 was a winning one for blacks over their White adversaries.

These are the numbers Jason Whitlock should be citing but isn't. At least the couple of videos I've seen from him only gives the overall black record -- it was 79-109 or something like that, but many of those games have been black vs. black. It's black vs. white that gives the far more meaningful statistic as to how bad black QBs have been this season compared to White ones.
