White RBs and 100-yard games

A 100-yard game in the playoffs has never been counted with those in the regular season. Nor are other statistics. Playoff statistics are separate. Or have been.

Last year Saquon Barkley's regular season and playoff rushing and receiving yards were added together for a new yardage from scrimmage record. The NFL likes to create new heroes. Or perhaps those of a certain type.

From the thread.

This has been a point of consideration that has been especially irksome for me. Regular season and playoffs have always been separate as they should be but every time Barkley is mentioned it is always the most rushing yards county playoffs.

He didn’t break the regular season record and it seems like the media is upset about that so they must include the playoffs.

If that is the case, how come McCaffrey didn’t have the all-time scrimmage yards record after his 2023 season?

I don’t think regular and post season stats should be combined, however this thread is to track and record 100 yard games by White RBs, and it clearly says counting both regular and postseason. So I brought attention to Rob Carpenter missing one game.

Mark Bailey’s game, for the record, was week 1 of the 1978 season.

The media didn't pay any attention to the scrimmage yards record with McCaffrey. FWIW Marshall Faulk, counting playoffs had the most yards from scrimmage counting playoffs after the 1999 season. But the playoff yards weren't counted with Faulk either.

That is why I really wanted Skat to get that 100. He would be on that list forever. I'm really hopeful that he will still get his shot.
He most certainly will.....
I hope Shipley gets a few years of opportunities.
We need a sleeper to emerge.
There’s no one in college that is Borghi or Nall level.
I’d love to see Dean Connors or Carson Hansen get a chance in the next couple years..... Someone needs to step up.

You guys were right. I was optimistic and thought he would get another crack at 100!
